B1G 2013-14

Would have been my #2 picks on both accounts.

Miles and Petteway are my #1s.

Miles not winning COY is a joke.
  • wildcats20
    Beilein said as much too.

Said that this award didn't matter because Miles is the COY.
  • wildcats20
Miles was voted as COY by the coaches though.

IMO the only vote that matters.

    I agree.

Looks like Indiana might be going down to Illinois to kick off the tournament. About a minute to go and the Illini up by 7.

Statwise, just looks like a shitty performance by the Hoosiers. Shooting 36% from the field and committing 16 turnovers won't win many games.

    Thank you Illinois.

Not a surprise. ILL has been playing well as of late. 4/5 wins and two tough road wins.

Tell you what I told Laley...be careful what you wish for.

I never wished for anything. Fact of the matter is Crean never got this team to play well, and he recruited very poorly in some areas and couldnt mask it. Never thought this was a shoe-in win, but the draw, without question, set up as best as it possibly could for Indiana. I wouldnt want to flip and take on a team in shambles in RD1 if it meant MSU in RD2. Indiana has played EXTREMELY well against Michigan. Probably the toughest match-up for UofM the last few years in the country (granted, not everyone has played them as often as IU).

If Michigan loses to Illinois, so be it. But Indiana just plays Michigan well and matches up better than Illinois. I'd rather play the team that they just crushed by 31 away than the one they they beat by 4 at home.
  • Laley23
Indiana has beaten some VERY good Michigan teams the last 3 years. 4-2 and Im not sure Indiana was the better team in any of those games.

Probably slightly better last year, but thats tough to say when Michigan goes to the title game lol

Just one of those teams that Indiana (ie, Crean) matches up well against.

Really? I think Ill will have a huge chip on shoulder and as mentioned, they are playing pretty well right now. Good luck.

    Still rather play them.

Gosh, what a bust of a year for Iowa. Losing to Northwestern in the opener. They will get in, but they really don't deserve it...9 losses since they upset OSU in Columbus.

They fell apart down the stretch. As far as I'm concerned, their body of work will get them in, but they deserve no better than a play-in game on Tues/Wed.

Stauskas misses the back end of a 1 and 1 inside a minute left down one. Michigan may go down
  • KB0938
That was a nice look on the pick and roll by Stauskas. Illini have one last chance with about 5 seconds left down 1
  • Mohican00
    fuck, they had a chance
  • WebFire
Couldn't have had a BETTER chance.
  • KB0938
Cant ask for a much better look than that....dont know why he pulled up short, should of took another dribble and got right to the rim, or forced contact
  • Azubuike24
Yep. LaVert had to let him go by him after he got a stop given the touch foul rules. It was a great look for Abrams...guys hit that all the time.

I really don't know what constitutes a foul in CBB these days.
