How Much Trouble Is OSU and Tressel in Now?!

Wow ytown has went off the deep end. Just throwing together a bunch of words he believes to be of high intelligence doesn't make you come off as any smarter.

Again, you look like a fucking moron for trying to call me out on something I never said.

Why the feds went to OSU is completely irrelevant at this point. They ruled out any correlation of criminal activity to Rife long ago.

Have you been hiding in a cave for the last few days?

Once Tressel got the emails, he forwarded to his personal lawyer, asking what to do. Because at that time, it was a Federal Drug Investigation, maybe his lawyer advised him not to do anything. Maybe his personal lawyer got in touch with the FEDS, and they relayed not to go anywhere with this information for fear it could blow up the investigation, and possibly cause harm to the players involved. Thus Tressel sat on the situation, but continuing to email Cisiro to keep tabs on players and situation as much as he could. If this were the situation, his hands could have easily been tied.

Why won't anyone acknowledge the very real possibility of being handcuffed at the federal level?

Once again, good insight. You have dumbed down this conversation over the last two pages because you obviously are lacking the comprehension required to understand what is going on.

    Are you on drugs?

Who would have been handcuffed? And how would that have any relevance to Tressel lying to the NCAA?

So were you the stenographer during Tressels convos with the feds? You have all this pertinent, factual info.

Not handcuffed literally you fucking idiot. Unable to speak on the matter.

Did you the press conferences and the whole suspension of the players? It has been stated very clearly that the OSU players are not and were not part of the federal investigation.

No...I follow that thinking perfectly fine.

However, as I've said on here before: not reporting the violations in April/June is not what people are upset with Tressel about. People are upset that Tressel signed a document in September saying that he reported any and all issues to the NCAA when he clearly didn't. People are upset that in December when the investigation into the scandal started, Tressel did not mention the emails from April. People are upset that when asked about it, Tressel said that he had just found out about the tattoo scandal in December when we obviously know that is not the case.

That's three lies that we know about for sure. There is no denying those complete and utter fabrications. So why are people who feel that Tressel's lying was wrong getting bitched out on here?

No shit. Answer the second part of my question. Why would that be relevant to Tressel lying to the NCAA?

How many mother fucking times do I have to explain this? Do you KNOW at what point the feds released him from any confidentiality?

    Not speculate....KNOW?

Do you KNOW that he was under any confidentiality from the feds in the first place?

So the Feds forced him into lying to the NCAA. Got it. I'm sure that's exactly how it played out. You are a fucking clown, in all seriousness.

Again, the only time I am disturbed about, is why he didn't come forward in Dec. when it all went down. I don't believe the investigation or Feds came to OSU until Dec. So the investigation was still ongoing. SO if my scenario has any truth to it, that would have been the only time Tressel could have come clean once the Feds were finished, or had come to OSU. The April, June or Sept dates mean nothing to me as I can come up with many reasons why Tress didn't come forward during those times. Now Dec. I can't come up with anything. And thats the major head scratcher.

    Has anyone read the e-mails?

The emails didn't mention any names, the lawyer just said players.
The only reason the lawyer e-mailed Tressel was because he was pissed that players would trade such things of Ohio State value. He didn't even know it was an NCAA violation. All the lawyer wanted was for Tressel to put the tattoo parlor off limits for players
After the 2nd e-mail Tressel asked the lawyer for some names, no names were given. This lawyer wouldn't know names unless he personally handled the memorabilia. Was the stuff on display? Was the stuff for sale? Did this lawyer get tats at the place?

    Read the e-mails.

Because the timeline for the emails with Cisero are irrelevant, the timeline and content of the feds convos are what is relevant.

Why is that so wrong? Oh wait...because it doesn't go with what YOU believe! lol I am not sure you or others realize the seriousness of a federal investigation and what a major role it "could" have played in this story.

The really disturbing part to me is that he still never willingly gave up the information. The only reason why he came clean about it at all was because OSU stumbled on the emails in January during a different investigation. That leads me to believe that if they hadn't found it...he still would be keeping this little nugget of a secret. So basically, the guy who puts out that he is clean and always does the right thing was prepared to keep this hidden forever. It really calls his character into question. How many other times was he aware of violations that didn't get found out and he just let it go and never said anything?

You serious? Did you read the emails? The names of the players were redacted by OSU in the emails sent out to the press. For Christ's sake, Cicero has come out to say that he mentioned Pryor and Posey specifically.

    EDIT:
And I've already addressed this with you once. Cicero knew of the stuff because he was advising Rife regarding the case. You should go back and read the emails again. Clearly you missed some stuff.

Again, imo, w can't make this assumption because we don't know the context of what went on with the feds. They had a pretty high profile case they didn't want blown.

I don't disagree with this. And thats obviously where he was at fault. No question about that. BUT, others are making it out as if there was intent on his part not to disclose info back in April. Which then would/could make this to be MUCH worse. All I and others are pointing out is, there could and probably is good reason he didn't.

This is a message board ytown. People are going to speculate because there a lot of blanks to fill in and right now Gene Smith and Tress are pleading the 5th. I need to go freshen up on MLA and APA again, because apparently you need to cite your sources on here now haha
