Alright phone nerds, I need assistance.

For me, there's two main important factors I look at when looking at phones: battery life, and processor speed.
The Charge, the Revolution, the iPhone, the Thunderbolt...they all use single core processors. The Atrix has, and the Bionic will have, dual-core 1ghz processors. While it may not seem like a big deal, the processor helps in gaming, and helps in web browsing. The biggest advantage to the dual core is that it helps conserve battery life.
Which leads me to my second point. The Charge currently has the best battery life of a 4G device at Verizon. But any 4G device is going to be an adjustment from a 3G device. The Atrix features a 1900mAh battery. What that means for the user: you do not have to keep a charger in your pocket to get you through a day. I do not use my Atrix very often, but I do browse the web on it and check and send emails throughout the day and I charge it every other day. That is almost unheard of from a smartphone not named Blackberry. The Bionic is said to have around the same battery in it.
So for me, the Atrix and Bionic will be better because you are not stuck with a processor that is already currently out of date. You would have more RAM built in. And better battery life.
Again, from the comparison charts I've seen, these are all comparable roughly. I don't mean this in a dick way, I'm just interested in seeing a comparison chart that shows otherwise. -

I'm thinking since he was typing that from his phone...the "no" is actually supposed to be "mp" for megapixel.
He is saying that the "Front Facing Camera is a 1.3mp camera...which is higher than on the iPhone." -
wes_mantoothI will be getting an iphone next.
The only reason...the hilarious autocorrect system it has! -
gutWith new android phones coming out constantly, it really just seems to be a continual parade of marginal upgrades. LTE is a game changer, and with dual core the browsing experience should be as good as it gets on a tiny 4" screen.
Holding out for the Bionic, myself. But an otherwise awesome phone, even the original specs had a paltry 512megs of ram (but now they are supposedly beefing up some specs). Also, I think the Nexxus 2 (Galaxy 2?) has an NFC chip which has the potential to be pretty slick with swiping to pay bills and get free instant coupons. Unfortunately NFC is probably a few years away from being mainstream useful - a fair amount of retailers are on board but my guess is they will be doing small test cases in limited markets for a while. -

Ahhh... good call Sherm. That makes more sense. I bet that's what he was saying too now. Thanks!sherm03;782981 wrote:I'm thinking since he was typing that from his phone...the "no" is actually supposed to be "mp" for megapixel.

karen lotzWhy's that? Did you leak them?

No I didn't. I did get to see the Bionic...but that was weeks ago. I would not be surprised if the person that did leak them (unless it was a planned Motorola leak) will be/is fired. -
karen lotzSo... how about a comment on it? I won't tell anyone.

LOL. It's going to be an amazing phone. One of those screen shots tells an interesting story. And is a big hint as to just how cool this phone is going to be... -
karen lotzWebtop? I saw somewhere else there is a slide out keyboard, that is not true, right??

Is that Motorola Defy running MIUI? I would guess Moto doesn't want a leaked Bionic sitting next to one of their phones running a custum rom. I don't see Motorola turning into Samsung overnight. -
dlazzI feel this thread is worth mentioning my experience with Verizon and Motorola.
I got a Droid 2 the day after Christmas. A few weeks ago it started freezing and being stupid, so I took it to the store and they agreed to send me a "like-new" model.
The replacement arrived last week. A few days after I got it, I was using Google Navigation and I noticed the GPS wasn't getting a fix. I tried Google Maps, Latitude, and also noticed my Beautiful Widgets geolocation was off. I was familiar with a program called "GPS Test" that shows how many satellites it can see/can communicate with. I tried my step-moms and my phone side-by-side with GPS test and hers saw 10, mine saw 1.
I call Verizon and explain this issue to them. The dumbass on the phone says I need to contact Google because I was using Google Navigation. I explain to him that this would be pointless, as every application that relied on the GPS wasn't working. He again reiterated that I needed to contact Google. I again, reiterated to him that this was probably a phone problem, not an application problem. He states, and I quote, "Well, we don't know what is wrong with the phone, so you need to start somewhere, so we need you to contact Google".
This is when I lost my temper, and called him "fucking worthless".
I then drove to the Verizon store and they again agreed to replace my phone.
So this is what I've learned:
*The Verizon store people are good people. Their phone peons are fucking worthless dipshit retards.
*Motorola can't make a phone to save their life.
