if you have had your phone for longer than 12 months, you might qualify for an annual upgrade. that gives you 2 year pricing

All the rumors are now that the Bionic has been canceled or on life support at best. The Targa, which has better specs, is supposedly the replacement but won't be out until Q3 or Q4. Rumors, anyway, that over the last 6 months seem to be little more than rather [uneducated] guesses.

I'm waiting till Verizon gets the 4G iPhone.

I had actually read that the iPhone 5 was going to be nasty, with an A5 processor and 64GB. I don't know if I can resist it.

Where have you seen these rumors? I just did a quick search and the first one that comes up is this:

April 29 was launch day. If your a primary on a family plan you get annual upgrade so you might be able to get that bionic after all

The iPhone 5 could possibly be that way. However...the iPhone 5 may not be what is being released this year. Like I said, Apple releases products in 2 year cycles. They will have a great device in year 1. And then make minor changes in year 2. The same can be said about all their other products besides phones (see the iPad and the iPad 2). The iPhone 4 was the big launch, and (if Apple's history is any indication) there would not be too many changes to this year's device.

As far as the Bionic...there is nothing that I have heard that would indicate it going away. Stay tuned for a press release from Motorola in the coming days...

It's all over droidforums.net and a few similar sites. But even as far as rumors go, these sites are getting way less reliable. You'll probably say - and be correct - that it's uber nerds confirming each other off the same rumor or two. It was a great site for about a year, but now it's just a bunch of geeks whining over rumors that in most cases make no sense.

The seed of this rumor (and it probably has some merit) is that Moto has had some issues with the dual core Atrix, and of course the TBolt has had it's issues...So my suspicion is people are just running wild with speculation that Moto can't get a dual core LTE out in the next few months.

I bought the Inspire (I hadn't seen the post about the Atrix being $99 until after i purchased it).

what are some cool apps/widgets for this MOFO?

remember I'm a Droid virgin, so I really don't know shit.

Seriously take it back and get the Atrix. You are going to be upset in a year or a year and a half when there's all kinds of things that phones are capable of, but you won't be able to do them because your phone doesn't have the processing power/RAM to do it.
  • I Wear Pants
Sherm is probably right. If you just got the phone it will be easy to return it and you'll like the results.
  • Jawbreaker
Can you please tell your company to unlock the bootloader ( I.e. the xoom). I then might purchase a Motorola phone. Thanks.
  • j_crazy
not going to return it. they will charge me $35 bucks to restock the Inspire plus the $100 for the Atrix.

They aren't going to do that. And don't be surprised when everyone else starts installing the e-fuse chip as well.

Well, Samsung just said they aren't going to lock bootloaders unless Google makes them, and the HTC TBolt was unlocked. Although I think VZW may be just as guilty here as Moto (and AT&T is even worse).

Then maybe they'll enjoy their slide back down to post-RAZR/pre-Droid irrelevance.
  • like_that
Been debating whether to get an iPhone 4 or wait on the iPhone 5. I called apple and AT&T, and they could not give me any information on when the iPhone 5 is coming out.

    Doubt that will happen.

You really should shell out the $135 for the Atrix.

Firefox Mobile is pretty nice anymore. Especially since it can sync your history, passwords, bookmarks, and open tabs with the desktop version.

thanks for the apps recommendations dlazz, i didn't want to go through 11 pages of that shit on justins thread.

I didn't like the go launcher though, if it would have let me put the clock and weather back like the HTC default does, i would have been okay with it.

thanks for that browser, hadn't seen it until then, but it's pretty tight.

The HTC default is called HTC Sense. You can get Beautiful Widgets and customize it to your liking. They have some that look very similar to the HTC one.

I'm assuming you've already figured out how to add widgets to the homescreen? (hold anywhere on the homescreen and it'll let you add stuff)
