I'm in a weird game. I could win with only one player above 10 points.

I'm currently down 5 with witten tonight and vereen tomorrow. My opponent has Ridley.

It's basically up to Bill billechek lol
Glad I didn't listen to everyone on this thread and actually made the trade for T-Rich haha.

We do full point PPR, so he racked up 20 for me this week in my money league, en route me setting the league high for this week, and the year. So I scored an extra $20 at the end of the year for high week.

I am up 13 and am playing against a guy who has Steven Ridley tomorrow. What do we think?

Well you and I will be rooting against Ridley then.

I'm up 3.5 and have vereen. He has Ridley.

    Nervous

    You might be fucked lol

I am up a crap ton, he has Edelman, I have NE Defense and Kelce tonight.

The fact that I had to not only pick up, but START two WW pickups this week (Larry Donnell, TE NYG and DeAndre Hopkins) and BOTH of them did VERY well (Donnell had 3 TDs as a TE on TNF) really helped.

I had 3 key players on bye (M. Floyd, A. Ellington, AJ Green) and Peterson still out for beating his kid.

I need just average games from Kelce and NEP DST in order to have the highest point total for the week. Besides my 2 WW pickups both scoring well I also had DeMarco Murray tear it up, Matt Ryan play solid, and Keenan Allen finally have a good game.

Its ppr, so I have a chance...but most likely fucked. Had a nice lead going into the 4pm games, just needed nick foles to match Phillip rivers...

S&L, you might be alright. Gport, good luck, lol.

I have Ridley in one league(not playing him, though) and Vereen in another league (picked him up to start as my second RB because of byes) and just having Ridley this year is frustrating as hell. I wanted to cut him after week one I believe, then week 2 he scored like 20, then started him week 3 and did nothing, so I may just cut him to avoid even thinking about starting him, lol.
  • Terry_Tate
Also, quick trade thought. I'm in a league where you can start 2 QBs(QB spot and an open spot), and my QBs are Tony Romo, Derek Carr, and Josh McCown. My WRs are Brandon Marshall, Demaryius Thomas, Jeremy Maclin, Josh Gordon, Michael Crabtree, and TY Hilton. A guy has Ryan, Cutler, and Foles, and think he wants to trade Foles to get a starter at another position, so I'm thinking of trading him Brandon Marshall for Nick Foles. It's a PPR league, but passing TDs are 6 and 1 pt per 20 yards passing. I have a huge bias for Brandon Marshall, but if I can trade him for Foles that's a no brainer right?

I cut Ridley after week 1 haha. Didn't even feel bad about it when he did well in week 2.

Terry if you can trade Marshall for Foles straight up and its 6 pts per TD and only 20 yards for 1 point yeah you do that.
  • SportsAndLady
I ALWAYS stay away from NE running backs. Because billichek is a god damn asshole.

But I had no other option. Just gotta hope he can keep up the fantasy pace of Ridley tonight. Smh
  • SportsAndLady
And idk if I would trade Marshall for foles..

That's a tough one. I like Marshall too much

My team: (1 point PPR. Start 1 qb, 3 WR, 2rb, 1 TE and 1 flex)
    Kirk Cousins/Nick Foles
    Desean Jackson/Steve Smith/Pierre Garcon/ Greg Jennings/ Larry Fitzgerald/Brian Quick
    Alfred Morris/Andre Ellington/Bernard Pierce/Shane Vereen
    Larry Donnell / Jordan Reed
    Justin Tucker
    Detroit

Would you guys trade Desean Jackson for Eddie Lacy? I initially declined it because I don't think I have the depth at WR, but having second thoughts.

Edit: Yes my team sucks, I drafted AP (1st round), RG3 (7th round), and Larry Fitz (3rd round.) Those Picks have pretty much killed my team so far.
  • Laley23
I need Charles to get about 150 yrds, 5 catches and 3 TDs...Down 35 in one league, and 34 in another (with NE defense still to go for them). I have Charles in both.

In a league where you can start 2 QBs and QB TDs are 6 points I do not know how you ended up with such bad QBs to start with.

As much as I would hate to do it, I agree, you have to. You can't pass up that many points in a league like that.

However, I'd shoot high, try Marshall for Ryan, when he shoots you down "settle" for Foles.

Might not hurt as both Lacy and DJax have sucked so far this year. I'd probably do it just to have another RB for the flex and bye weeks (which you just hit with Ellington and Fitz).

I am in the same boat with AP, but I have had a couple WW picks that I got lucky on and had some depth...it still hurts though having AP out.

Its killing me seeing matt asiata score points by the truckload. THAT SHOULD BE AP damnit

You do it. Absolutely. You still have DTom, Maclin, Crabtree, and Hilton.

I would, however, aim high, like jmog said. I don't love Matty Ice (he can be streaky), but when he's on, he's on.

I do think Foles is overrated, though (he is my starting QB in one league, to be fair), and until they get the wheels back on that run game, he's going to be exposed to taking more shots than he's used to. Still, in a league with that format, you have to do it.

Yep. Same here. I avoid the NE running game at all costs.

I think you absolutely make that trade. Lacy's value is low right now, but I think his schedule has been the largest problem with it, so I think he'll improve.

Jackson, on the other hand, has a QB who is streaky at best who may or may not be replaced by Glass-Legs Griffin if they haven't had to amputate his leg yet.

It's a keeper league and I've done a shitty job of getting QBs when they've broken out over the years, lol. Brees, Manning, Cutler, Rodgers, Ryan, Stafford, etc. have just been kept by their teams year to year and it seems like the week I forget to check the waiver wire is always the week when a good QB takes over a starting job (Kaepernick, Foles, Cousins just 2 weeks ago though jury is still out). I've had Marshawn Lynch, Marshall, and Demaryius Thomas in this league for 3 years now because salaries don't increase that much so I'll pretty much have them their careers. This year I took the chance on Josh McCown since he has VJax and Evans but that's a total clusterfuck obviously.

None of my games are technically decided yet.

    1. Down 12. I have Vereen. He has Edelman and Jered Mayo IDP. Yahoo has me at a 10% chance to win. Honetly, I would estimate that figure at lower. It's a loser unless Edelman lays a complete egg/gets hurt. Even if he doesn't Vereen still needs to have a good game after 2 bad ones and Mayo would still need to not have any tackles.

    2. Up 5. I am starting Charles. He has Ridley. This one shouldn't be close but I am guessing it will. Hopefully, Charles plays an entire game and doesn't start and get hurt first series. Have Vereen on the bench in this one so it worked out on the chance that Charles didn't go. But if he suits up, you have to play him.

He has cancelled the trade and is trying to get steve smith instead. I still think I will do it. If I knew Larry Fitz would start playing WR this year it would be no brainer

Well, there's your 3 Charles TD's... now if he can only reach 150 yards...

Inside the 10..lets just get another TD and eliminate those other 60 yds.
  • gport_tennis
Needed Shane vareen to outscore Stephen gostowski and NE defense by more than 5. Vareen got 11.7, gostowski got 2 and NE got -2. I WIN.

Ouch kind of a lose/lose this week in the Cousins vs Brady post I had earlier in the week. Didn't see both teams getting blown out like that.
