Fantasy Football 2014-15

    Who to start: Luck vs Titans, projected 16 points (this seems low? The banged up Bengals just lit them up for almost 40 points) or Phillip Rivers vs Jaguars, projected 26 points. I don't think either is a bad choice.

    I'm leaning towards doing it, but just wanted to make sure i'm not crazy
    imo, T Rich isn't worth a roster spot. I'd rather have Fitz

    Rivers and his big, dumb head did beat the "Legion of Boom," but Rivers always has the potential to have a lackluster game.

    Between the two, I'd give the consistency nod to Luck, so the question might come down to the matchup.

    If you look at the matchup and think you're a comfortable favorite, I'd go with Luck. If you think you'll need a superhuman performance from your QB to win, I might go with Rivers. Against the Jags, he has a high upside, but he's the riskier play.

    Nah, dude. T-Rich won't help your team. At all.

    Based on his play over the last season+, his role is going to shrink while Bradshaw's expands. While I think that will take longer than it should (the Colts are being stubborn on shrinking his role), it will eventually happen, and I'd bet that even if it takes longer than it should, it'll still probably be by FFL playoff season.

    But that's all based on his play over the last season. T-Rich is an interesting player, because it seems like his biggest drawback (his indecision causes him to take FOREVER hitting the hole) is mental. Can that be corrected? I suppose, but I'm sure there are coaches who have already been working with him on that who have known this longer than the average lay person, and he hasn't really shown any improvement.

    How on earth did he have a decent rookie season?

    As for Jennings... I wouldn't trade him unless you get someone awesome. I don't think alst weeks game is a fluke. This Giants offense will finally get it going I believe. Plus Giants love to run.

    8-1. My bad. The maths got me.

    I was contemplating trading him for Lacy and maybe a good WR. Lacy looks like a buy-low option at the moment as he's faced two nasty run defenses the last two games, and he had a concussion in Game 1. But man, did Jennings look good.

    I actually traded Alfred Morris and Andre Johnson for Jennings and Anquan Boldin before this last week, which certainly played in my favor overall. I downgraded at WR, I know, but I don't think Andre is going to have his normal numbers with Fitzpatrick. Plus, he looks sluggish. Boldin is getting up there in years, but the dude still has some freakishly strong hands, so I think he'll be a good fill-in option for bye weeks (which is all I need him for).

    Dropped Romo for Cousins. Seems like a solid backup to Rivers since Washington is going to just air it out all year it looks like

    I wouldn't think that at all. I loved Lacy and Bell but hated Gerhart and Ingram. In both of my leagues I took Rashad Jennings over Gerhart. I would have thought you still needed a #3 RB

    Honestly, I still really like Ingram. It just sucks that he got hurt as he was playing very well, even in a timeshare. I don't really LOVE any Jaguars ever, but the fact that Gerhart is a 3-down back seemed to have some promise. Obviously, that was a mistake on my part. The one thing with my league is that we don't have any flex position, so I can only play 2 RB's a week.

    Fair point, I agree.

    I'm just waiting for my team to step up. I don't anticipate making any moves, I just need guys like Brees and Patterson to put up some good weeks.

    I don't think that's a bad trade. To get a position of need you generally need to give up a little more anyways. Which lottery ticket RBs are floating around on your waiver wire?

    It's funny, I see all these articles of players to pick up and what not... My league must just be insanely savvy, because no one is EVER on free agency/waivers. Seldom can an impact player be found floating around.

    It's all about being correct about who you speculatively pick up. For example I'm thinking of picking up McKinnon this week. Not because I need him this week, but because I feel like it's only a matter of time before he surpasses Asiata. I did the same thing last year and it worked with Zac Stacy.

    But there are other times it doesn't work. I dropped Kelce last week to pick up Alfred Blue, thinking it was OK because I had Rudolph. Well now I could really use Kelce but he got snatched up already and I dropped Blue for Kirk Cousins.

    Absolutely none. I missed my waiver attempt for the ravens dude, can't remember his last name. Tore up the browns.

    I don't have one RB on my roster who is even playing this wk. Lol

    McKinnon was picked up last week by the same guy who got the ravens RB. Asshole.

    Reece has like 6 pts on the season lol you think he would be able to score anything decent (for him, 6+ points) this week?

    Maybe I'll try and trade James jones for McKinnon or the ravens RB

    There should be nothing of substance on the RB waiver wire in any league with 12 or more players. The position is too thin and there are too many time shares and dumpster fires.

    In one of my leagues, there are set roster spots so every team can only have 4 RBs and there is still nothing. The other league has open rosters and most everybody has at least 4 or 5 RBs and thin pickens is an understatement.

    This is why RBs go so early. Not because they score more than WRs or QBs but because of their availability.

    I might bundle DeSean and Vereen to see if you can buy low on Lacy. Naturally, that will depend on how the owner of Lacy is sitting with WRs.

    Nice. Yeah, none of those have been receiving studs yet, and you've got James, who looks like the only decent option in Oakland as the sole every-down WR, so he should get his targets most games.

    With Lacy under-performing so far, he might be willing to unload him. I honestly think it would even be worth swapping Vereen for Ellington in that trade, but obviously, if you can keep Ellington AND get Lacy, that's the preferable option.

    Otrap I doubt I would do desean and Ellington. Ellington is a yac beast. The TDs will hopefully come.

    And yeah, he's a dick.

    The offer was a little low-ball, but that's kind of the point. Looking at his team, it DOES help him. I mean, Vereen will be a downgrade, of course, but his WRs are garbage so far.

    He's probably trying to value Lacy at his season-opening value.
