If the kicker makes the FGs last week, the Browns win. It's hard to put the blame on him for week 1 though. Regardless, TT has not been that impressive.
Agreed, TT has not been impressive.
The throw to callaway was impressive. The comeback drives vs the Steelers were impressive. That’s about it.

Wasn't Weeden's fault either.
Weeden couldn’t figure out how to get out from under a parachute, let alone figure out an nfl defense.

To be fair with Weeden, it was a big parachute. And he's never been a guy that can lead a team out from under a parachute. But he is good enough to not let his teammates get trapped under the parachute. /S&L
cowherd saying exactly what I’m saying. Stop expecting TT to throw for 330 yards; were a kicker away from 2-0 with the lowly jets coming to town.
Also competent QB play away from 2-0

I blame our line more than anything. They’re complete trash.

Not anywhere near the main problem. Tyrod has the 7th most time behind the line in the first game. I’m not sure about the 2nd but Tyrod is much more responsible. Yes the kicker sucks but I believe Baker wins one, if not both games

Lol. Based off ONLY your complete guess, I hope?
No one knows how baker would do because he’s never played a game in the nfl.

Yeah, the O-Line isn't the biggest issue. They could improve significantly in run blocking but their pass blocking is pretty solid.
It's an overall offensive issue.
Now that we know Gordon had one foot out the door I expect these receivers to step up and be hungry. JG was definitely an issue in game 1. The RB's could be better and Chubb needs more reps. Tyrod stands out as getting a lot of the goat horns because he's so limited and makes the offense look like it's in quicksand. We knew this coming in. Anyone who thought he was going to become "good" because he has more weapons was delusional. He is what he is, mediocre.
People want to see Baker because we know he can make all of the throws and the vertical game will open up which should help the running game. TT can't make the throws that Baker does. Pick your poison, safe, vanilla offense/gotta win with defense/limited turnovers or potentially explosive offense but there will likely be mistakes/turnovers?

LOL @ PFT for reporting (according to odds) that the Browns or Cardinals have the best chance of landing Antonio Brown if he's traded. Shit ain't happening.

That Baker would win is a guess? No shit. I just don’t see him being worse than Tyrod. Maybe Haley won’t be afraid to run a real offense with him in.
Real question on the Calloway TD Bc I haven’t seen it brought up but they were talking about it on the radio. Is there any way he was actually trying to throw it to Landry there?

You can’t fathom that Baker might not suck as much as Tyrod? I agree w your point the kicker is to blame, but with a real qb maybe they don’t leave it up to the kicker. (A girl can kick an xp tho, that’s inexcuseable)

Anyone going to the Jets game Thursday night? I'm taking afternoon off work to head out for tailgating with some co-workers. We were able to snag some tickets in section 111 for under face value along with a season ticket holders parking pass in the purple lot. My first game at the stadium since MNF against the Giants in 2008.

Not going to Jets game, but I'll be at game 4, right on the 50 7 rows behind the Browns bench. I went to the Oakland game back in 2012 as well, tickets then were like $30 for the 45 yd line 15 rows back behind Browns bench. This yr, I paid $200, quite the difference.

My smh was at the question whether TT was throwing to another receiver. That’s just idiotic af.
I think eventually baker will be much better than TT. But there’s no guarantee he is better than TT right now in game #1 of his nfl career. Not many come in and play well in their first games.

No it's not. They interviewed Landry and he thought it could've been coming to him. He was right there too.

No. Did I think the pass was intended for Landry? No. He said in the interview he thought the ball could be coming to him but then he saw Callaway explode with a burst of speed to get under it. Landry said he wasn't getting to that ball.
As a side note for those completely bashing the O-Line, interesting (and shocking) metric, for you PFF folks, that I heard this morning. In the running game, the Browns O-Line was actually #1 in the league in "push" off the line, which should equate to a very good running game. Think the stat was something like the O-Line was giving the RB's 2.5 yards before contact should be made. This is telling me Carlos Hyde sucks ass and Chubb/Duke should be carrying the load.
Coupled with the fact that the O-Line was 7th in time allowed for Tyrod, in week 1 (he was hardly touched in week 2), in the passing game, I don't think the O-Line's the problem.

As far as the Jets game goes, I never thought I'd be uttering these words but the key to winning is going to be shutting down Crowell in the running game. He's averaging a gaudy 6.2 yards per rush. If he gets established, it's going to help Darnold significantly. Darnold hasn't faced a defense like this yet though. If the Browns don't gag on the defensive side of the ball, I think this will be a "W."

I don’t think the O-line is the problem at all. I thought they’ve played very well. Not sure what kizer p is looking at to think that the problem is the O-line. But then again Kizer was so terrible last year while kizer p was telling us he’s not the problem soooooo....

Oh, I know you haven't said that. It was more for the people who think the O-Line is shit. A lot of people thought Harrison was a dog turd in his debut against the Steelers. Granted, he struggled but it was the RT, Hubbard, who got bitch slapped by JJ Watt's brother all day. Hubbard, I believe, has been trending down since week 1.

I was just giving my thoughts on the o line. I knew you weren’t saying that to me.
