I firmly believe Dorsey didn't fire Hue, because dipshit Haslam didn't want to pay another failed unemployed HC.

That's also why they haven't ditched Gordon over the years. Dee Haslam saw JG as their "lottery ticket" but he never could stay clean.

Saw someone on twitter breaking down tape and said the browns consistently ran into an 8 man box in the first half. Basically saying before you bash Hyde, understand there was nothing he could do against a loaded box.

Once again, I’m blaming Hue/Haley just as much if not more than I’m blaming the players.

...just trying to find some positives with this organization lol

S&L...there's plenty of positives with this organization. Still think they just need to get that first taste of victory and things will start coming together. Seems like they (Browns) can never have both. They either have a top 5 offense (2007) and a sieve for a defense or a shutdown defense and an offense that's as exciting as watching paint dry.

I know I know. It was just a depressing day yesterday and waking up this morning didn’t help. That loss stung.

I’m not sure I’ve seen a more “must win” game than this Thursdays jets game. If we lose that game, the players and fans will shut down. If we win, 1-1-1 start to the season guess it could be worse!

They have to win this game

Browns have Cairo Santos and Blair Walsh in today.

Sounds like Bailey wants to play for a contender.

I agree, must win. I'm not normally like this because they usually suck ass but these two losses have consumed me. The talent upgrades to this roster have me believing they SHOULD win. Guess I'm a little ahead of the team on the "confidence meter." lol

If you lose Thursday, you have to fire Hue and start Baker after it.

Part me of has to LOL at Bailey.  You're a kicker dude.  You take any job you can get.  I know Blair Walsh is a former pro bowler, but he pretty much fell apart after he missed that FG in the playoffs vs Seattle.  This is why he is currently unemployed.  Not sure what the deal is with Santos.

Bailey got 4 offers from teams and turned them down. Can’t really blame him for being able to pick his destination. The demand is there.

No shit. They dick around, playing Hacky Sack (training camp), on the sideline until someone whistles "hey kicker, get in here" and then they have the power to blow all of the hard earned work a team's offense or defense has put in with one swing of the leg.

It's a job with the least amount of security in the NFL.  It takes some balls to be a FA kicker and turn down offers.

Jesus, is Bailey waiting for the Patriots kicker to break his leg? Between the Rams & Vikings needing kickers, he should have his choice.

From @gmfb: The #Browns are expected to be able to trade WR Josh Gordon before 4 pm today and the trade compensation should be legit.

Josh Gordon makes just $790K this year & is an RFA next year — 2 years of control. If the compensation is a conditional pick based on games played or something similar, it could climb to a mid-rounder. Browns in a good spot.

John Lynch (Niners GM) has confirmed that SF has reached out to the Browns regarding JG. Kyle Shanahan is familiar with the player.

It's like Cody Parkey Groundhog Day all over again.

If they were going to sign a rook, why didn't they just go with the local Walsh Jesuit kid who Gonzalez beat out in TC?

Makes no sense. Why not just sign Santos? Lol Jesus

I know that they've coddled Gordon over the past 6 years and if he didn't fail a test and was 10 minutes late for practice with the hamstring issue, this just seems real odd. I've frankly had enough of his BS but there has to be more to this.

Seriously? This is so Browns. If this SOB was hiding this, to remain on the team, and he contributed to two losses, he should be tarred & feathered. If the Browns knew about this, yet trotted him out there....well, I don't even know what to say..

Adam Schefter@AdamSchefter

Turns out Browns' kicker Zane Gonzalez, who is losing Cleveland's kicking job this week, has been kicking with a groin injury that requires an MRI today, per source. Browns could reach an injury settlement with him or put him on waivers, injured.
