I don't understand how Lombardi keeps finding jobs.

As long as Belichick has connections in the league, Lombardi will find work.

@justincreible the multiquote is working for me.

@BR - Cutting Jame Collins this season would be very stupid. We get no cap savings from it.

@iclfan2I sub to the Athletic, but only to support the org. I read it infrequently. I like it, and think the future is there.

Hue has definitely been getting bashed my the national media for looking weak due to his depiction on HK's.

What's the over/under on wins needed for Hue to not get fired?

I'd say 7-8 if Tyrod is the QB all year, 6 if it's Mayfield. Either was he'll get scrutinized for not winning more games they should've.

I think this is in the ballpark.  He has a winless season in his favor (yes, that is odd to say), because 7-8 wins in his third year will seem like a big deal.  If he wins 7 to 8 games, then next year his contract extension is most likely contingent on making the playoffs.    Regardless, if he survives this year it is playoffs or bust next season.

Wondering, if Dez is such an attention whore, that he really just came to CLE for the HK and drum up interest for his signing

This has been speculated....that he wanted to show the nation he was a "good guy" so he was on his best behavior, hoping a contender (NE, Pitt, etc) would come calling. The problem for Dez is that it seems like the only teams interested in him aren't or weren't that good.

If it's Mayfield (6 wins), Hue can say "look what I did with the rookie QB...nowhere to go but up" and if it's 7-8 wins with TT he can throw out the "we were a winless team....look at the leap we made." Either way, he's going to fuck up some games where people will say (in the TT case of say 7 wins) "yeah, you won 7 but you 'Hue'd' away 3 games and the team should've been in the playoffs." That's where I could see him getting fired.

Not surprised.

Funny part is that I'd heard nothing but positives and that he was going to be a big part of their plans. Maybe Dez has a shot there?

Will be interesting to see how the Browns 1st team offense fares against a legit team tonight. I think the defense will be fine.

That was the absolute worst play calling I’ve seen in the history of football from first and goal from the 1

...play calling pathetic, TT’s injury opens door for Mayfield—sucks for Taylor, but we’ll see what Baker does with the opportunity...and Myles is a fricking stud!!!

Defense is doing well. Our offense is missing our only 2 receivers who can stretch the field so I’m not too worried. Phillys D is legit. Having Calloway and Gordon would be huge. Even if he can’t run routes.
