Former medalist in Men's 800M accidentally clips the young American and both go down....former medalist gets an exemption for the final while the American doesn't.

The American probably had no hope of medaling, but this doesn't seem fair.

Djokovic quite the sore loser. Lost bronze medal match and threw fits, broke racquets and then withdrew from double competition keeping his partner from medaling.

Horrible loser. The hell is wrong with him?  Then he excuses it with "it's just the way I am" crap. Horrible teammate.

Novak has been a dick since he was 17 and breaking through. Part of the reason most tennis fans will never acknowledge him over Nadal and Fed, who are about the greatest humans and ambassadors you could ask for.

Fact. I found myself rooting for him to with this grand slam with an Olympic win also, but he’s always been a little bitch.

100M final was something else.  Expected more after a 9.8 semi, but that was a heck of a race.

Was talking about this the other day.  It's been 9 years since Bolt ran 9.58.  THIRTY years ago, Carl Lewis set a world record at 9.86.

So 30 years later, the Olympic champ ran 9.79 (I think).  It could EASILY be 30+ years before we see Bolt's mark broken.

Well, that WOULD be someone to watch.

But I searched and doesn't appear they have a kid together....

Left out the word “if”

I think the event has weakened a bit and will return stronger in 2024…I think Bolt’s record gets challenged in 2028

Doesn't help when the fastest man currently going can't even qualify for the Finals (Trayvon Bromell)

Yes, it has been a good summer for Italy between the euro cup and surprise Olympic champions.

Yeah, never good when you get interviewed and your answer is, "Yeah, I dont know whats happening. I dont know why I am not running faster."

I told my son right before the race that I have yet to watch him “have it” in a race yet….he didn’t look good in the Olympic trials semis, didn’t look good in round 1 of Olympics….

I thought Kerley looked the part all along but was still surprised he medaled. Good for him…but the events seems down a bit foe sure.

Looked more like the American nipped the guy behind him and then caught his own leg and went down, with the former medalist landing on him.

Watched some hammer throwing last night on USA. I think I'm totally amazed at the body control required to do that event. Spin like a top for a bunch of rotations, throw the thing at the proper angle to keep it in the field of play and not go careening out of the circle with the effort that all takes. Even if I was hammer-thrower strong, I think it'd be one hell of an uphill climb for my limited coordination to get the timing and maintaining balance parts right. Probably be a judge with a crushed skull and I'd have a torn ligament in an ankle from trying to keep my balance.

The landing angle is like 30 degrees, gotta practice exactly when to let go

Mijain Lopez……good lord that’s a big man.

4 Olympic Golds (wrestling)….won easily and then picked up a 260 lb man that was one of his coaches and with one arm carried him while jogging around the ring. Lol

Trans weightlifter didn't complete a single lift....chooses to self-identify as a gold medalist.

Just watched the Chinese guys just dominate the spring board diving in the prelims….then watched a Canadian score straight 0’s. No clue what went through his mind on take off.

And the men gymnast on the rings lol. I actually had gymnastics 1 and 2 in college and having tried the basic normal athlete stuff and then watching those guys makes me laugh ever time.
