And honestly, what has Clemson done to earn their ranking?

The new red shirt rule and the old graduate and transfer rule are really changing college football.

Oklahoma state has a sr wide reciever with 155 yards receiving and 2 TDs who is going to sit out the rest of the year, red shirt, I presume graduate and then transfer next year to some where he can get more playing time.

Clemson just demoted their QB who is a sr and he announced he will do the same.

I expect many other players to start doing this when they aren't getting the playing time they want.

This is every team though. And why they really need to play 6 weeks before the first rankings come out.

I like the one gif of an iPhone screen shot asking if you want to delete your history.  He did actually do that - the rest, not so much.

Why? Coaches always decide to abandon their current school because the grass looks greener elsewhere, so why should players be stuck at a school where they've been deemed to be not part of the team's current plans?

I'm all for that rule.

Schools make billions off of players. If they don't fit their plans, yet still have a shot for the NFL...let them walk to better their situation.

Agreed to both.  If the player wants to play, let him go somewhere he can get playing time.  I don't see the big deal.

I think it's going to get ridiculous. I'm all for being able to transfer if a coach leaves, or transfer and sit out a year, but something seems off with being able to play 3 games and then decide you are going to transfer. I don't care all that much either way though.
