Don't get me wrong, I don't care that they pulled it down. It just proves that there is no purpose to what they are doing besides just being an outrage mob.

Instead of just saying he doesn’t agree with any protests and thinks that racism doesn’t exist or whatever his real opinion is he cherry picks random things every day like a Fredrick Douglass statue that I guarantee he doesn’t care about and wastes our time. Just say whatever it is u have to say is all. Stop deflecting to random fake outrage u accuse the other side of while doing it yours

"Bottoms said the crowd outside the Wendy’s had re-erected barriers that the city had already taken down. The family was trying to get around the barrier when the confrontation happened.
Bottoms announced that after weeks of trying to negotiate with protesters occupying the Wendy’s, the efforts are over and the area will be cleared.
“A the point that an 8-year-old baby is killed, the discussions have ended,” Bottoms said."
8 year old “baby”

8 year old boy shot and killed by gunfire in the food court of a mall just down the street from me. Other innocent bystanders hit but not killed. Gunfight originated by some armed guys there arguing. It was 3:30 pm on a Friday. Guess they got off work early that day to do some holiday day shopping. The same mall had windows smashed only a couple of weeks ago. I think this boy's grandmother and pastor day it best.

So you can read his mind? That is rather interesting, You know he is racist so he obviously doesn’t care about Frederick Douglass...
Makes sense

Your argument on this story has changed about 3 times, hard to keep straight where you are on this one.
posted by jmogWell, you know, one of the links was to the black Atlanta mayor calling it the "murder of a baby".Your argument on this story has changed about 3 times, hard to keep straight where you are on this one.
My point is if you don’t agree with the protests just say it.
don’t say..
I agree with the protests if only........ ( insert random article of the day that actually refuted that you agree with the protests flag, block highway, nearby murder, Chicago, black on black crime ect )
I don’t agree with (insert unarmed black person) getting killed then immediately post random article of the day insinuating the reasons he deserved to die ( criminal record, on drugs, ect)
I agree with blm movement if only they would protest this way.. (then never provide a way to protest you can agree with)
Just be honest with what u want to say don’t be fake outraged about a girl dying and hide behind it to make your point. If you have an opinion about blm movement or race relations just give it.
Fun fact black people are actually outraged when this happens. You may not hear about it because you don’t know any black people. Which doesn’t make you racist or a bad person.

You are painting it as all black and white (not race) or you have to be 100% for or against everything about something.
The real world isn't like this. I have yet to see a single politician that I agree with 100% of the time, or any that I disagree with 100% of the time.
One can say they are for the saying/believe that black lives matter (absolutely they do) and one can say that they agree with peaceful protests about the murder of Floyd...all while saying they don't agree with the violent riots that have been going on.
Disagreeing with violent riots does not immediately make someone racist which is the broad brush you are painting.
Sorry, one can be against violence period. Meaning Floyd being murdered is wrong, but so is burning down the city in protest. See the distinction? Absolutely protest, and to be honest I would have attended one of the local protests myself if I didn't have a weird feeling things would turn violent (which they did).
The world isn't such a dichotomy, black or white, 0% or 100%, 0 or 1, etc. Most everyone lives in the "grey" areas in between.
I have yet to find ANYONE that defended the police murder of Floyd. I have yet to find anyone who was even against the peaceful protests. I do know a bunch of people that are against the violent riots that came after.
Sorry geeblock, but breaking down people's gates to their community, blocking traffic while people are going to work, burning down a Wendy's/police precinct/etc, looting and rioting, etc is just plain wrong and I can't believe you are defending any of that.
Chris Cuomo on CNN made the mistake one day of saying "where does it say that protests have to be peaceful?". It literally says it right in the freaking Constitution. Amendment 1"Congress shall make no law...prohibiting...the right of the people PEACEABLY to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances".
What i see is someone who can easily deduce a few bad apples in the police dept but doesn’t let that stop him from supporting the police, but then not applying that same logic to protesters/blm movement/black people
Never said anyone was racist
The mayor of Atlanta just went on CNN and blamed Trump for the 8 year old girls murder.
You can't make this stuff up.
Geeblock, see, this is why people, like iclfan and myself, agree with the sentiment of BLM, but not with the actual organization.
I mean really, is there any defense of crap like this?

I honestly think there's a movement in the radical left to hijack BLM, not unlike the religious right did with the Tea Party.

I don’t need you to like the “organization” just the “movement” or sentiment. There are a few bad apples in every group right? Not fair to condemn a movement for a few idiots. Most people like my fiancé have no idea the organization exists or that the 3 women founders are Marxist’s or whatever. That’s not important. She has went to some protests and also stood up to some people in her family and it is important to her.
I also believe that there are those out there looking to sabatoge the movement.
I think this is terrible to disrupt a church and I have been tagged in this video on twitter and Facebook with friends taking victory laps to denounce blm so it is even more upsetting to me. Total distraction from the movement and perfect tip dunk for racists

1. In the actual organization it isn’t really a “few” bad apples anymore is it? I mean the originators are Marxists, and all the recent riots/etc it really isn’t just a “few” anymore.
2. Have you noticed that every time some video like this comes up you immediately jump to “well the racists will use this..” How about people that can just see through the bull shit that is BLM organization will “use this” as more evidence. Just because people see what is going on in the BLM organization and call them/it out doesn’t mean they are racists but yet you keep using that phrase. You state it like “racists will use this” to avoid actually calling anyone in the thread racist. You shouldn’t beat around the bush, call people what you think they are.

Not talking about people here. Talking about comment sections on twitter/Facebook. For me I can easily separate the movement from the organization. I don’t think they own this whole movement that is happening even though they started it. It’s much more loosely organized in my opinion.

Are you ok with protests that turn violent (rioting, looting, breaking down/through private gates, blocking highways, etc)? Or should they remain peaceful?

They should remain peaceful as the vast majority are. I went to three and all were peaceful for many hours. I think the protests easily get hi jacked and then BLM gets the blame. The police didn’t help either. 99% of the people want to protest peacefully. They peacefully protested all around Columbus without issue. Westerville, Powell, Delaware. It was very uplifting and powerful honestly. The only one that got violent was downtown col
The protest I went to downtown at least 5 speakers got on the megaphone and begged people to remain peaceful and went in depth on the harm it does when you don’t. No one who organized the march advocated riot or looting
