Probably not. Since You seem to think they're mutually exclusive.

Liberals get to re-define "gender", and right wingers get to re-define "vaccine".

Can someone again explain to me about how a vaccine doesnt keep you from infection but its still a vaccine and not a theraputic?

Go read what a vaccine is.  It is not a magic cure pill.  This post embodies the idiot fringe.

I could care less if someone doesn’t want a vaccine - to each his own.  But the idiots who try to redefine “vaccine” when they never had a clue as to its meaning is pathetic.  I’ve heard enough from dumbass conspiracy theorists -who probably were the shittiest biology / chemistry students in HS now try to justify their paranoia of the government by passing off their mistaken understanding of what a vaccine is as hard science.

Every bit as bad as the woke idiots.

What does it serve anyone to explain things to you when you've proven time and time again to not be bright enough to understand either what you want explained or the actual explanation?

It would be infinitely more interesting.

Didn't know where to put this, but chose this thread guessing that it's going to be related to someone losing their shit over Covid restrictions.  Also, who has a Christmas parade a week before Thanksgiving?

SUV just plowed through Waukesha Christmas parade, injuring multiple people.  Reports of shots fired, too, but no idea if it came from the car or people shooting at the car trying to stop it.

The police shot at the car going through a barrier. Don’t watch if sensitive. Either way, execute whoever it was that did it.

Yeah, that was way worse than the video I saw (which didn't show anyone being hit).  Not going to watch again to count, but I'd guess at least 2 dozen critically injured.

And when it's "Dancing Grannies" that they plowed through....

They found the vehicle, and have a person of interest, but aren't saying if anyone is in custody.  Driver better not get away.

This will be out of the main stream news shortly. Doesn’t fit the angry white man narrative.

This for the common good too? Just keep doing the same things that don’t actually help anything.

It’s bullshit for sure.  Nothing like this is right.  Masks, working remotely unnecessarily…it’s ridiculous.  As soon as this variant passes through, there will be another one, and another and another.  Covid is part of the world and we need to quit acting like it’s temporary.

It's a "super variant".  They know very little about it, but that of course doesn't stop the media from their usual hyperbolic fearmongering.

Also, trying to figure out how initially it was "nu", but they're calling it "omnicron".  Must be really super to skip an entire letter.

Not sure if they got the travel bans in place this time, either.  Already a case of community spread in Europe (forget which country).

So countries started reporting the new Covid variant yesterday in people flying from Africa.  The coding to test for it isn’t even done yet.  These people are inept and borderline insane.

Good interview with a dr in South Africa online where they say the new variant is basically the flu and has not shown major illness in anyone in Africa.

I think any anecdotal evidence on a few dozen cases is extremely premature, especially considering the original strain had less than 1% mortality rate.

But I will say, I'm tired of hearing my family whining about "the unvaccinated".  I have to remind them this strain originated in Botswana, and there are BILLIONS of people globally outside the US that are unvaccinated.

Exactly what WHO has been warning against about the rich countries hoarding vaccines.  Except the developing world is having a lot more trouble than the US convincing people to get the jab, even when they have supplies of vaccines.

Only the vaccinated are allowed to fly internationally. If a variant from Botswana is spreading to other countries, guess who is spreading it?

Fauci's interview was great.  Loved the "going to pretend to ask you the tough question, then let you lie your ass off unchallenged about being treated unfairly by Rand Paul".

Completely let him slide on the mask thing.  "At the time, we didn't know it was airborne".  Yes you did!  That was the big "bombshell" about the Trump tape telling that to Woodward.

I’m sorry we all know this guy’s name like he’s our family doctor…”What did Dr. Fauci say” or “What doesDr. Fauci think” as though he’s someone familiar to us all.  He’s an advisor and none of us should be able to pick him out of a lineup.  I don’t know who the head of the geological survey and I don’t want to.  Like Fauci, that guy’s job is to advise the president, not to be a mouthpiece.  Both Trump and Biden forced Fauci and his nonsense on all of us.  There isn’t one thing he’s done that has helped matters.

So if omicron ends up being more contagious, but more mild than the common cold...

Anxious to see what kind of overreactions come from a virulent sniffle.  I'd think if this dominates and crowds out more deadly strains, that would be a good thing?
