I would say if you take an existing virus, do gain of function research on it and therefore change it, that this is synonymous with “created”.

LOL, several unverified leaps in there.  I believe ONE - singular - researcher claimed to identify a marker of genetic manipulation.  But the consensus has always remained NO genetic alterations.  And no one has questioned zoonotic origin.

So, no, literally there's no proof it was "created" in a lab.  I'm not in the habit of reaching conclusions and declaring something "widely accepted" in the absence of supporting evidence. .

The NIH confirmed that they funded gain of function research on bat coronavirus’.

As you said, it is widely accepted that it escaped from the Wuhan lab.

Been there, proved you wrong, don’t need to go there again.

Proved what wrong, exactly?  The study just came out in the last week..

Did you ever educate yourself on the factors of transmissibility?  For someone who claims to read so much research, you don't seem to actually understand any of it.

Maybe I used 1 word that simplified a compound sentence description, but in fact it was an existing virus, that was changed with gain of function, and later escaped.

I mean that is rather widely accepted, far more than someone eating a raw bat.

Widely accepted? By who exactly?

You say you read, so you will know that it is not widely accepted. It is plausible, but not even remotely proven.

It is correct it is not in the realm of tinfoil hat land, but it is far, far from described as accepted.

Even our IC is pretty cautious on the language, say, "was not sufficient evidence to make an assessment either way"

I pop in for just a minute and see you going all smug ass level.

What dots...lotta assuming you are doing there.

There is zero hard evidence it was actually engineered or was not simply from another source that just happened to also be in the lab.

The same amount of evidence exists that it was engineered vs. that a bat or animal at the lab had it from nature and it crossed over to infect a human....zero.

These levels of assumption is exactly how we get intelligence errors.

Connect the dots?!?  You've got nothing but a bunch of supposition.

"Widely accepted" that it escaped a lab?  No, it's not.  Widely accepted it's PLAUSIBLE, but again quit different from what you're saying.  Are you actually that ignorant, or just in the habit of lying to win arguments on the internet?

Majority of Americans now believe it to be from a lab and not a wet market, Aka widely accepted.

I get my booster tonight. I’m a little worried my mom has had it rough from the vaccines. She had 48 hours of hell after the booster. The first one caused a blood clot that led to her losing about 70% of her vision in one eye.

I’m hoping it goes much smoother for my wife and I.

Went to the theatre in Akron last night and saw an elderly women pulled aside confused as to why her vaccine card was not good enough.  It sounded like she did not have a photo ID.  I heard the person telling her they can not verify the name on the card is her without ID.  My wife and son and I were like an elderly person is going to present fake papers.

There must have been some other event going on that required proof of vaccine.  We did not have to present proof of vaccine just enter with mask on.  Then buy drinks and sit around everyone sipping there drinks with chin straps or hanging from one ear.

I’m going to Canada in a week. I’ll be getting a Covid test on Sunday, traveling to Montreal Monday and returning to the US Tuesday.   Along with my Covid test result, I’ve got my CDC vaccine card that was filled in with pen when I got my shots. Is that sufficient for a proof of vaccination for Canada?

I think you're fine, and I believe the rules literally just changed because the US came off their red/hot list or whatever.

But, LOL, I imagine if you show the test AND vax card they get squirrel-y and start grilling you on why you got a test if you're vaccinated....."is this vax card a fraud?  Sir, do you know our penalty for fraudulent vax cards?"

No idea on proof, but one thing I do know, Canada ONLY accepts negative PCR test for entry, not rapid/antigen.
