Don’t understand the endgame here.  I guess science is different out there

I feel really bad for small business owners. BUT, you get what you vote for.

Mr Chef conveniently leaves out that it's only for a few counties, indoor only, and the outdoor limits doubled.

It's over a third of the counties in the state, and I'm going to guess it includes the most highly populated. What percentage of the overall population lives in the affected counties?

How many restaurants in those 15 counties don't have access to outdoor space?

3.6m of Oregon's 4.2m residents live in one of the 15 counties affected.

You're right. It's only a few counties.

Oregon's 7 day average is 3 deaths a day (and has been for weeks). This is completely unnecessary.

How dare you, they need to protect the .0000007% dying per day

Most elected politicians seem gifted only at bullshit and corruption.

It's the career-types that do all the real work.  Un-elected career-types, which should scare the crap out of everyone as the gubmit grows and grows and grows.

In a year, if you're no longer "locked down", will you acknowledge?  BTW, how are you still locked down?

I never went into lockdown; never missed a day AT work; did not skip going away on vacation.

But for the risk averse and/or politically correct, they have been heavily manipulated.

I was going to say....

Because for many parts of the country, there hasn't been anything resembling a "lock down" for many, many  months.  I hear people talk about ending lock downs and I honestly don't understand what they're talking about.

I agree that anyone who observes a personal lock down due to some sort of political correctness has lost the plot.  As far as someone who is risk averse, I give them the benefit of the doubt that they have health circumstances that probably drive that.  If I had health issues that made me susceptible to a bad COVID episode, I'd probably be that way too.

The elderly and juveniles might not get that, and it messes with their mental health.  The restrains on restaurants has caused mental harm to the owners and employees.  Requiring elementary school children to wear masks is diobolical

Geez, as an example of how crazy this employment issue is, I just went to Taco Bell and they had a card on the bag that said immediate on site interviews if you are looking for work and STARTING at $14 an hour. That’s nuts.

I'm the HR Director for my company, and I have people no-show interviews for jobs that can pay between $50-65k a year. These aren't even skilled labor jobs, I could literally pick any able bodied person off teh street to do the job.

There’s a Frisch’s not far from me that has something similar. Plus a sign on bonus and you take home same day paycheck.

Could a 4'11" woman do the job? Or is it hard physical labor?

If she can lift 50lbs, then she can do the job.
