Yeah, that is the biggest flaw in the deal, that the administration did not go all out on getting it through the Senate like an actual treaty. If they would have brought in the Senate early on, I think it would have passed the 2/3rds needed, but barely.

Regarding Trump, he will need a lot of Ds to agree on whatever agreement comes out of the Korean talks.

If Trump is able to get a deal with NK and the Ds hold it up in the Senate...Let's assume this happens sometime in 2019-2020...that all but guarantees Trump re-election if the Ds are willing to stall/reject a NK nuclear weapon treaty.

Depends on the details. Just like how any Iran deal was going to have a tough time in the Senate, any North Korea deal is going to have a tough time in the Senate if parts of it are unclear.

"De-nuking" would be a MASSIVE success.  Anything else is just icing on the cake.   But it appears you're already starting to set unrealistic expectations so that you can shit all over whatever deal happens.

Sort of like how Obama-haters trashed the Iran Deal for things totally unrelated to denuclearization (but IrAn sp0nz0rs t3rr0r!!! Same failed logic as not doing anything with NK regime because they starve their people, etc. - Thankfully Trump and Obama thought outside the box). Maybe Europe can still salvage it. An Iran Deal with Europe + China (who is filling in for all the European companies backing out due to fear of U.S. Sanctions) and a Korean De-Nuclearization brokered by Trump would be tremendous achievements toward the betterment of mankind.

And yet Trump may still face trouble in subsequent elections just like Winston Churchill did.

Sadly - in the world we live in, a Trump success in North Korea may not even solidify his re-election. For instance, if the Fed continues on its forecasted rate-hike path even if things get a bit shakier and causes a recession - voters may well leave no good deeds for mankind to go unpunished.

With that said I still see no Democrat who can even conceivably challenge Trump at the presidential level.

I really think Rudy is getting senile, but he comes out again with the talk of Trump pardoning himself.

At this point, it's clear Trump and his surrogates love trolling the left....but they keep falling for it.  Every time.

When Trump and Rudy says it - chalk it up to Trump and Rudy trolling libtards. If Loretta Lynch says it, it's implicit admission of high crimes and misdemeanors by Obummer and Gut loses his mind.

Other than the fact the Obama Admin didn't make trolling the media routine, and that the media didn't report unfairly on Obama (just ask Bill Clinton), and that the libtards have taken unhinged lunacy to soaring heights with Trump....other than that, good argument complete with the straw man ad hominem.  Quite the impressive amount of fictional BS rolled into one short post.

Yes, I can't believe that racist pig Trump met with a citizen married to a black rapper, and then proceeded to pardon a black woman.  For shame.

A couple months ago when he posted one of those random articles about a company expanding somewhere and I pointed out that the process actually began years ago during Obama's presidency, you told me not to bother wasting my time. How about follow your own advice.

I didn't say anything about him being a racist.  I just think a sex tape/reality star having access and influence on our president is wonderful.  I think Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee should be in line for cabinet positions at this rate.

A sampling of today's headlines:

In a Senate Floor Statement, Roy Blunt (R-MO) cited a recent NAM survey of manufacturers on the benefits of tax reform. Sen. Blunt said, “The National Association of Manufacturers, 86% of those manufacturers plan to increase investments thanks to tax reform. And 77% say they’re planning to increase hiring. 72% said they planned to increase wages for their employees. That’s the kind of thing that happens in a growing economy.”

You’re talking about boogie. Trump broke his brain and QO is his puppet master. Just sit back and enjoy the show.

It is hilarious watching deranged liberals deliberately harp on the KK visit - when Obama did the same things - so they can ignore that the pardon was inherently good and just.

If you ignore Trump's twitter account, there's been almost nothing but good news with this Administration.  Too early to say what has really been accomplished, but the "pending global disaster" that was Trump is fake news.

It's also funny how for 8 years we were told about the "new normal" and not to expect growth much over 2%....now that we're starting to see some really good growth forecasts people want to give Obama credit for that.  I mean, if you're going to give Obama credit for growth numbers 18 months after he left office, then I guess Bush deserves 100% of the credit for the recession ending 6 months into Obama's term (and, at this point, that's the only fake accomplishment left for him to claim).

Agree.  I think it is was the St. Louis Fed that is talking 4%+ growth upcoming ....we have more job openings than jobseekers --- first time ever I believe.  That could be a bit of a problem with respect to growth, but could also drive more productivity, not to mention higher wages.

I just think it is incredibly amusing that the dems think they can win by touting regressive policies.  Could you imagine the exploding heads if the economy exceeds 4% for a couple of years, deficits shrink dramatically, and Trump succeeds with N Korea and Iran.  TDS will become a compensable disorder and the dems will be out of business for 40 years.

The article mentions US Steel re-starting it's blast furnace in IL ...........positions available there.  Obviously leveling the playing field will not occur without bumps; the larger picture is important.

Great break a few eggs right?

I love how Trump was just trolling people this morning. Of course Russia is not rejoining the G7, not until they pull back from Ukraine. His comments on Ali were just trolling as well as Ali does not need a pardon and he would have hated what Ali did if it happened today.

I think losing a $4bil a year company who employs 30k people would be morew than a bump in the road for Arkansas.

Yes, it is the same thing.  I don't care who is president.  I don't know if Obama actually took action because of something Jay-Z or Beyonce said to him.  If so, it is exactly as troubling as this latest incident.
