How about this guy?

In May? My point was the Dems, Schumer, cared more about filling a seat then her dying. Check his timeline, he posted about the filling of it before saying RIP to her.

Of course they will try and fill it.

I don't follow Chuck Schumer and have no desire to read his timeline, so I'll take your word. My point is that it didn't take long for both sides to start.

I forgot they have 2.5 months of lame-duck after the election.

If McConnell says they are going to do it, it would make it less of a critical election issue.  Certainly Trump is going to nominate a woman....which will make it difficult for the Dems to oppose the pick (though they'll find a way).

Looking at Trump's list....Barbara Lagoa - Hispanic justice on Florida's state supreme court.

One is a head in government and one is a twitter guy. Close though.

McConnell himself said earlier this year they'd confirm this year should it happen. He’s a “head in government” right?

I'm surprised nobody has brought up the fact that Trump signed an EO to essentially make "patriotism" part of the curriculum.

I'm 100% against this! wtf

Hypothetically, it would be like if Bernie mandated marxism to be taught in schools.

Can't we just go back to making kids remember dates, presidents, etc without all the ideology?

He didn’t say it 5 minutes after she died. This isn’t hard

It’s going to be Barrett.

InB4 Quaker states the obvious: "How long has she been dead?  When's the last time anyone saw her alive?"

You’re right it was like 7 min.

Jfc all I said is Schumer was quick to go straight to the vote without any condolences, it was the first thing I saw. I didn’t opine on it either way or say anyone else wouldn’t. Of course they would. Posting comments from May made no sense. And as I said, of course they’ll nominate someone, why would anyone think otherwise.

I know and I’m sure you were just about to post McConnell's too. just happened to only get Schumer’s out.

Trump praised Robert E Lee today

The blacks are immeasurably better off here than in Africa, morally, socially & physically. The painful discipline they are undergoing, is necessary for their instruction as a race” — Robert E Lee

RIP RBG.

McConnell already said the senate will vote on a nomination.  Jam her thru.  This is Harry Reid’s legacy.

I also highly disagree with Gut’s take that this will hurt Trump.  If anything it will hurt the GOP if they DON’T approve Trump’s nominee.

I agree.  Everyone knows what the democrats would do if the situation were reversed.  If the Senate republicans do anything less they will be perceived as weak.

Yeah, yeah, yeah...and Biden's praised slaveowner Thomas Jefferson. So what?  This stuff is a black hole with no solution.
