This is because you dont worship the ground that Connors walks on. Remember he "turned IC around" and plays everyones kids.

We dropped John Hay this year and another Cleve. team will replace them... The John Marshall Lawyers. I would MUCH rather see carrollton in that spot. Not 100% sure about Oak Glen, but they may be out as well.

I also know that Creek had a deal worked out with East Liverpool just before the season started for them to replace John Hay... For some reason that fell through also. EL backed out and we were forced to keep John Hay this year. There have been multiple attempts before this year to schedule a team to replace John Hay, I know EL, Beaver Local, Carrollton, John Marshall, Wheeling Park, and I believe Brooke were all contacted about getting on the schedule and nothing could be worked out. The only team that called us wanting to be on the schedule and had the opening was Columbianna. We chose not to schedule the D6 team with so many D4 teams on our B8 schedule.

Should have jumped at Columbiana, they had a down year and still pulled out 5 wins... They usually have between 6-8 yearly and bring at least 20 L2pts. EL/IC has worked out a 2 year deal starting in 2012... Our schedule this year was full but we had some teams back out late.. Clev JM is a very good pick up for IC... They're not your typical city team... Very undisciplined football wise as most city teams, but as far as sportsmanship they were GREAT for us...

Cleve John Marshall has backed out on the one year deal. Its because John Hay is in the same league as they are and asked them to back out. John Hay feels that they were cheated when they came here this past year and we kept them out of the playoffs. There were words exchanged between John Hay's Assit. Coaches and IC's players. Needless to say, no John Marshall this year. As much as I am not in favor of the game, we picked up Linsly for a one and done game here at Kettlewell for next year. Thanks to Linsly for stepping up and willing to give us a home game, without them we would have had a bye week 2.

How did you get your info?
Is John Hay on the schedule? So John Hay asked John Marshall to back out..
Also Linsly will be compensated I am sure. They are similar to having a city team on ,and they dont get into the playoffs anyway so they pretty much will take on anybody ...They will however be a tough game for IC ....They usually are pretty tough

That info is straight from the AD. We had Cleve. John Marshall agree to a one year deal, but John Hay asked them not to play us. John Hay and Indian Creek ended our series this past year, I am not sure if the deal was over or the after game activities had something to do with it. Any how, like I said, if Linsly didn't agree to fill the one year slot we would have had a bye week 2.

The John Hay assistant coach was upset because he thought that they scored the two-point conversion. That would have put them up 8-7. From his sideline vantage point, he thought the runner crossed the goal line. If you watch the replay of the game, he was stopped at the 5 yard line, not the goal line!! He couldn't tell where the goal line was from the sidelines!

The game was poorly officiated for both sides, but like icredskins said, it wasn't even close. Its just to bad that "we" kept John Hay out of the playoffs and not the other teams they lost to as well...

17 flags against John Hay 3 against IC , doesn't equal both sides to me. Yes I was at the game.

And John Hay's right tackle held on EVERY play and there were also a few that were not called against us that should have been. Overall it was poor officiating for both sides.

that doesnt sound like both ways to me ..It sounds like some home garbage ......ofcourse SOS has selective memory ....

That's great. You are complaining about someone having "selective memory" for something that you didn't see. Do you know what the penalties were? Were there a bunch of false starts and offsides? 17 penalties seems like a lot, but it all depends on what they were. But of course, you will jump on IC. I am sure that the refs were IC graduates and just doing everything they could to help them win.

Officiating aside, creek will definitely be going through some growing pains this year as they will not only be losing Kucz, but Hammack and Grinch as well. I'm just curious who Connor is going to bring in to fill those HUGE shoes.

Hows you 7th and 8th grade doing ..make it a 4 yr plan ...

which Inkster game the one we lost or the one we destroyed them ?.....................Ill tell you right now home field stuff happens all the time in HS football and everyteam has it............Unfortunatly like I have said before so many times Big Red is in front nice at home and our refs actually let teams get away with alot of illegal BS like chop blocks and just crappy stuff because we dont want it to look like home town BS ..IMO ...Sometimes we get them OVAC Wheeling refs and they dont like Steubenville anyway because we dont give them all our games .........17 penalties to 1 penalty though in a 7-6 game is a fixed game no bones about it ..You shopuld have lost that game ...but it happens everywhere ..Bellaire used to be the worst......just my opinions ....I know there are honest refs out there ......probably most are core honest but I guarentee alot do favor a home team say over a inner city team ...I will say this though I know that in gaMES LIKE mASSILLON NEITHER TEAM HAS ITS OWN REFS THEY WERE OUT OF yOUNGSTOWN EACH TIME those guys let the teams play each year ...in other words they let them have at it .....laugh all you want though but 17 to 1 penalty is a fix plain and simple or just some home town sympothy you stole that game

That would be the one you lost because you got beat at your own home cookin' game... No matter WHAT the hometown refs did they couldn't save you... Inkster just kicked your arse.

Oh well ..They didnt kick our arse though ..it was a very good game and we almost pulled it out ..so whatever homecookin we did didnt affect the outcome ,unlike a 17-1 penalty game which you won by one point and then got blackballed from the city of Cleveland...That is pretty bad ..LOL
  • outdoorsman
If you would have seen the game, it should had been 30-1. It was the most undisciplined team I had ever seen. They had talent but, very badly coached.
