    QUITE A GAME!
  • Thinthickbigred
too bad . would have liked to see the Edison IC game. Belmont county once again owns Jefferson county . ooops wait they dont play us . You guys gotta be sick of losing to them schools.
  • outdoorsman
When the defense stepped on the field in the beggining of the game they were not prepared at all. They were lost and running around as if they had no idea what Bellaire was about and once again on fourth and one why the hell do you not give it to Otto. It was a very good game, but some things I just dont get.
  • outdoorsman
Oh, I predict Creek to upset Edison next week.
  • Golden Warrior 1980
Why don't they give it to Otto? Hurt? Did not see him once on the highlights
  • Golden Warrior 1980
I will be at that game. Edison is prime for an upset. Almost lost to a nobody tonight.
  • Thinthickbigred
You guys might just upset JU and then you will find out that a win versus Bellaire would have put you in . Teams in front of you lost tonight but its all moot now

I think he had 155 yards and two TDs.

Is Connor out after this season w/ expectations being so high but another mediocre outcome? Where is SOS when you need him?
  • war_admiral
Someone said they just seen SOS out in the neighborhood putting up some kinda sign....
  • Art Modell
    Now that is funny.LOL.

I for one am not willing to blame Connor for a bad season. He deserves one more year. This season we all had high hopes, but realistically the team is very young. If you listen to the starting lineup announcement you will hear that sometimes only 2 seniors start. Watch the players during the game and many sophomores and some freshmen are playing a lot of downs. While the seniors on this team are very good, there are few of them. They are good leaders and hopefully have instilled the dedication to hard work in the underclassmen.

While I question the offensive play calling at times, the coaches have to remember that deception is allowed. I wonder why the defense gives such a large cushion to receivers, these are things that coaches can improve on if they want to. With the experience our young players are getting this season, we can expect great things over the next couple years. Next season, Creek will have experienced players and anything less than playoffs will be a huge disappointment. In the past, Creek could only achieve a .500 season or better with a senior laden team. The coaches achieved that with a very young team and they now deserve the chance to coach a team with experience next season.

Heard that before Buck. Dynasty 10 ring a bell?

    The troll has spoken.

I will say the biggest question mark I will see is who be the next QB to step up and replaceing Otto will not be easy. Next year is Connors report card for me. It is a very young team this year.

Not to mention on defense, he was once again a force.

I see Big Red play whenever I can. I tried to will you guys into the playoffs. You lose to Bellaire at home when Bellaire is weak . Edison looks like they might be done now also . running out of gas . A Edison Liverpool game atleast gives an OVAC team a second round game if not both Edison and Liverpool I suspect will lose opening round games.

Yes Art, I have heard that before. All fans have to have hope. We see the positives and hope for improvement. I see a team this year with possibly 6 wins. They are very young and should improve next year. The teams that beat them were senior laden and Creek stood their ground against most of them.

Outdoorsman, there are a couple of good possibilities for QB next year. A junior who played some last year at St. C., leading a drive in the 4th quarter that made the last second field goal necessary by St. C. There is also a sophomore that looked pretty good in preseason. He was valuable this year as a receiver with great hands.

While "dynasty 10" was predicted to do good things, it was for completely different reasons. They were successful as a class in their early years when they were playing against their own grade level (7th, 8th and 9th grades), so many fans expected great success from them later on. While they may not have won any state titles, they missed the playoffs by a fraction of a fraction of a point and that is the most success Creek has seen in a while! The point is, were they a bit over-hyped? Maybe. But were they a talented group that did good things for the program? YES!

The current team is expected to be good because as primarily sophomores and juniors, they held their own against teams comprised primarily of seniors and some juniors. A .500 season when AT MOST five seniors were starting is promising!

Outdoorsman, Buck is correct. We have a good potential qb. The only disadvantage will be losing him as a receiver! As for replacing Otto, that may pose a problem. He is a very diverse and talented athlete and I do not think one specific player will be able to take Otto's entire role. However, there is a lot of young talent and as a team they can compensate for that loss!

I am also not willing to throw Connor under the bus just yet. However, if he is unable to capitalize on all of the experience his young players have received and develop a playoff-worthy team in the next two years, THEN we may have a problem!

Coach Connors is not going anywhere. It's like the movie Groundhog Day. He is employed by the Jefferson County JVS, the Indian Creek BOE only pays his supplimental contract to coach. If not Connor who would want the job? If you want to make a drastic change you would have to clean house, and there are not teaching positions to make a drastic change.

Maybe the problem for IC was that you needed to aim lower then a dynasty in 2010. Maybe it should have been "A Fraction Of A Fraction Of Improvement In 2010" Ya need to start somewhere and starting AT a dynasty is not how it works. 5-5 in 07', 2-8 in 08', 6-4 in 09' and a possible 5-5 or 6-4 in 10' that's not a framework of success for a DYNASTY.

Here, I'll give you your shirt idea for 2011......"COMPETE & QUALIFY".

Are you completely illiterate?! Oh no, wait....you can read ONE LINE OF A FOUR PARAGRAPH QUOTE.

Sticking to my life motto here...
Never battle wits with the unarmed...or in this case, the illiterate.
