All I did was take what "TK" was talking about to expand on some other points. I wasn't trying to correct. Go back, read and comprehend.

You got it 5! You've got to extend one to TK too though! LOL!

How's your son doing with the "Fighting Illini"? You know I'm from Illinois, Chi-town that is! So I'm hoping that when they play the Buckeyes, he'll get some field and sack some Buckeye qb's!

Be safe on the road and keep that rv "shiny side UP" fella!

    Go Riders!
Read and comprehend, that surely seems like an attempt to correct! Oh, that's right, you're a "teacher"! That's a laugh!

    Thanks Series haha.

Did not know you were from the "South side" like Coach Butkus out there

#43 will be on Kickoff and goal line D and the first backup for both Mike and Will Lb. should see a decent amount of game time for a Rookie. ESPNU at Noon EST. just pray for a healthy game.

Do you really believe that since rr1 posted that Fox8 will be present, that he, the statistician, (or repeater of statistics), that he is, does not know each and every date that Fox8 and any other metropolitan news service is present or the W/L record of the Red Riders during those visits? That he doesn't care? He more likely than not, didn't want to mention it since they were all losses, because had they been victories, it would have been posted!

rr1...that tale is worthy of an ESPN, "C'MON MAN!"
I truly couldn't have told you when the last time they were here, or the total # of times they've been here over the years....i know they're coming tomorrow night and that's that. I questioned your new friend TK because he obviously was keeping track...back to 2003 apparently.

I keep track of our wins, all 597 of them...not our wins when the wind blows more than 10 mph, or when TV cameras show up, or when the temperature is above 50 degrees.

That's the honest truth....but I don't expect you to believe a word of it...you've long ago made up your mind about me and wont believe anything that doesn't fit into your narrative.

    Keep hating bud.

In 2003, we celebrated the 100th year of playing Wooster.

In 2010, we celebrated the 100th meeting.

Then we had a discussion about "centennial".

What Troll King mentioned reminded me of that.

    That is all.

Why I question your credibility is reflected in the above comments. When one reads your "blogs", comments and the stats that you post, it is filled that sort of trivia.

    Therefore, since you say,
RedRider1;1258323 wrote:...I keep track of our wins, all 597 of them...
, it is indicative that you won't say anything about the losses.

I understand being biased, as it is your team, however, y
ou're a "reporter" that only wants to print a partial story, not the whole truth, win or lose. For a "reporter", that brings your credibility into question.

Never claimed to be unbiased....I founded an Orrville sports website..my goal was never to be unbiased...it was/is to be biased towards the positive things our young athletes achieve. Again, I founded the site...and can write whatever I want. You don't like it...don't read it. I write what I want, always with an emphasis on the positive. 99% of the feedback I have gotten has been tremendously positive and I've gotten to meet many great people because of it.

I also contribute...unpaid..to ORRVIEWS. Reinforcing the positive things about this community is why that paper exists. Again..you don't like it...don't read it. Complain to the paper that you don't like my writing. I'm sure they're fire me immediately and my $0 salary.

Hating on someone who is positively involved in their community...only BIGP could do that.

Wow 5knots you have to be really proud! he will be missed in that Orrville uniform but he will have a great career at Illinois. I will have my usual Ohio St party Saturday for opening game but will find myself flipping back and forth to see him in the game. I know Chase Hoobler will have a good year also. Does anyone know if Pirman will get any PT this year at Nebraska? What number is he?

    He's #40.

I thought I heard he was 2nd/3rd team but then got a concussion and now it more like 4th string....right on the border of the kids who travel to away games and those who don't.

    Could be wrong though.
  • Series62
    I'm not hating on you.

You founded the site and yes you can print whatever you want. To say that Orrville lost, or to post the unpleasant points of the community, school or the athletic teams won't demean either. It helps to say that this is a community striving to do well and that it has it's share of issues much like every other community and it is working to overcome them.

One would hope that Orrviews also exists to not only reinforce the positive things of the community, but to also point out and speak to the negative things that may exist also. Whereas, we all may want life to be "all good", reality sets in and some negative is there also.

Therefore, tell the whole story, the good, the bad, and the ugly! Is that so difficult?
  • RedRider1
Funding for OrrViews is back by Heartland (Smuckers). They wont allow the paper they fund to be turned into a bunch of negative stories...that flys in the face of their mission...and doesn't do a bit of good in my opinion.

Again, they fund it...they get to make the rules. That's life. You don't like it...fund your own paper...Series62's Views. Write to your heart's content about whatever you please.

    Doesn't that smack of propagandaism?

And therefore, is it really your "opinion"?

Who called Series out of hibernation? Please never do that again!

Orrviews is a good paper. It is different thatn watching the news everynight where everything is negative. Then you call out RR1? For what, doing a great job on the blog. Series you never get tired of trying to start trouble where there should be none. Feel free to go back to Chicago any time to stay...

Good luck tonight Riders break in the turf with a win!

Good luck to Orrville tonight. I just hope we have a little bit more of that luck. :) I hope it's a fun night with a very competitive football game. I hope the kids all play hard, respect each other, and stay healthy. The winner of tonight's game makes the playoffs.

I was not keeping track. I simply remember the first time Fox 8 showed up. After the game I joked to a friend that it was Fox 8s fault. When they came back I remembered the last time and again joked I hope they didn't jinx us by coming here again. They lost that night as well. That is where my jinx theory was born. Then they came a third time and yes it was another loss I only remembered it because of prior two visits preceding losses. People remember things for different reasons, and this is why I think of Fox 8 as a possible jinx. I am glad you have gotten such a laugh out of it however.
  • rrfan
troll I agree with very little you say, but the fox 8 thing I tried to stay away from. However, certain things do stick in your head and when rr1 said fox 8 was coming it was the first thing on my mind also. They have struggled on nights that fox has come. Tonight will be different. No way these kids lose the opening game on the new turf. NO Way!

I really hope they win. Triway will be no pushover .however, If by some way Orrville does lose I would never invite Fox 8 back again lol.

It's all good...really..I believe you & appreciate the explanation.

Let's hope we break the streak & keep the Lynch Streak going. DR writer Kevin Lynch has now picked against us 6 times out of the last 7 regular season games...we've won all of those games he's picked against us.
