Orrville Red Rider Football 2012

RedRider1At least you 'showed your work'....I'll give you credit for that.
FYI, The chopper was supposed to show up in 2010 for the Triway playoff game but didn't because of fog.
I'm sure that, and only that, was the reason we won the game.
And as far as one of "my buddies," that makes no difference to me. I'm all for meaningful conversation. Doesn't always have to be roses either....but it should always be supportive....because we all want the team to succeed, right? -

I would like to have seen us under center late in the game when we needed to just keep the ball on the ground. However, we just don't run that type of formation much..if at all, anymore. The defense played well last week and we will need a repeat performance (minus the two long plays). As far as the QB mistakes..at this point it appears that the coaches are staying with him, so it is what it is I guess. I personally think Kyle has looked better, but he did make a couple of throws that made me cringe.Troll King;1257899 wrote:could the fumbles be the result of running every single play out of the shotgun. If the qb lined up under center the handoffs might be better. The qb mistakes I see are the same ones I have seen for three years now. Apparently I'm the only one who sees these same mistakes every game. I think the defense had a big hand in winning last week.
As long as we get a "W" who cares -

We were inside their 10 & lined up in the I & nearly fumbled...that's conveniently left out of the conversation.
I will agree with you that the D played great & the blocked punt was awesome. -

Forgive me I forgot about the one time they went to the I.RedRider1;1257921 wrote:We were inside their 10 & lined up in the I & nearly fumbled...that's conveniently left out of the conversation.

It's a good thing it was unable to get there, if it had coach may have continued to run plays with under a minute to go and Orrville could have lost. Oh wait he did continue to run plays instead of taking knee. Good thing Fox 8 couldn't get there.RedRider1;1257906 wrote:At least you 'showed your work'....I'll give you credit for that.

Hey troll makes sure you wear your 2012 turf shirt Friday night so you can fit in with the clique, the rest of us decided we would wear them during our mixer, that’s when we all get together and talk bad about the people that don’t fit in.Troll King;1257634 wrote:R Thank you series, you are correct about not being able to speak your opinion on here, unless your in the clique. -
RedRider1Don't go telling all the secrets of our club now.
I'll see the rest of the clique tonight. We'll discuss who gets playing time this week...based on their last name, of course.
Don't forget a covered dish. -
5knotsHere we go again.....hahaha`. Can't be too sensitive on hear Troll. I agree with you that you did not throw anyone under the bus. I think a few on here will be pretty sensitive to too much criticism after game 1. My points were that is it so cliche' to get on the QB when he may or may not have played well. It's all good in my book. Glad to have the banter going again. We even got Series to show up.....wow what a surprise. Good to see some new posters. I'll be keeping an eye (lurking) on you guys this year. Go Riders.

LOL! Rep for you!REDRIDER555;1257950 wrote:......that’s when we all get together and talk bad about the people that don’t fit in.
Back in 2003, I got to meet and chat with Dan Coughlin.
Brief history lesson: 1903 was the first year that we played football......a whopping 2 games, one of which was Wooster. So in 2003, we were celebrating the 100th ANNIVERSARY year of playing Wooster (not 100th game).
Go Riders! -

That's not what I think, but at least one among us think that is how things are done in Orrville. You got the name, you get in the game. Helps if you have a lot of money too.
Everything has an agenda...that's how we've built one of the best programs in the area over 50 years...favoritism. -
5knotsTroll.....you are way behind and will now have to cipher thru what is sarcasm and what is opinion. I still struggle at times, but that last post by RR1 is pretty easy to figure out.

Accurate. You can set your watch to BRF's recollection of history.BRF;1258023 wrote:LOL! Rep for you!

Since you provided the history lesson, can I do the english lesson? If so, our first topic will be the proper use of "YOUR" and "YOU'RE." -

I believe I said 100 year game not 100th game, Fox 8 was there and it was a loss.BRF;1258023 wrote:LOL! Rep for you!

I know what you said. I was referring to a little point of discussion from the 100th game anniversary celebration.Troll King;1258061 wrote:I believe I said 100 year game not 100th game, Fox 8 was there and it was a loss.
And I was talking to anyone, in general (no pun intended). -

If your gonna do any ciphering...its much easier on this thread than the WCAL thread. :huh:5knots;1258050 wrote:Troll.....you are way behind and will now have to cipher thru what is sarcasm and what is opinion. I still struggle at times, but that last post by RR1 is pretty easy to figure out. -

"Be nice"...LOL! brf corrects TK when he wasn't wrong, then rr1 points out the misspelling of TK and gloats but he failed to correct 5knots!BRF;1258203 wrote:I was trying to be nice!
Lesson 3, the use of "hear" and "here".5knots;1257999 wrote:"Can't be too sensitive on hear Troll"...
The "journeyman" on spelling, still cracking up?5knots;1258118 wrote:I'm cracking up. Got the rookie on spelling! BRF, where were you?
Hey TK, isn't that the way a "clique" works? LOL!!! -
5knotsWould I get a reprieve Series if I blamed it on my phone's spell check? -

RedRider1If anyone here is waiting until the last minute to donate to the turf fund....contributions will be accepted until September 7th. If you want your name on the recognition plaque, you only have a week left to do it.
Then we're going to get out of the way of the school so they can get information out to the community to get this levy passed and keep the momentum rolling. -

Probably the most excitement around a game at home since the 2003 Orrville-Wooster game which was the 100th anniversary of the 1st game in the series. We had all the dignitaries there that night.
Do you really believe that since rr1 posted that Fox8 will be present, that he, the statistician, (or repeater of statistics), that he is, does not know each and every date that Fox8 and any other metropolitan news service is present or the W/L record of the Red Riders during those visits? That he doesn't care? He more likely than not, didn't want to mention it since they were all losses, because had they been victories, it would have been posted!
rr1...that tale is worthy of an ESPN, "C'MON MAN!"
