I drive hours each year to support them. I don't need some young kid telling me off on a forum cause he thinks i don't know anyone close to the situation. The sad truth is i know more about Stuthers situation cause of my Ex In laws. More then i care to know. With that said im dont on that subject. I Respect Spread i hope he feels the same.
OK I seen the previews and seen a kid that was bigger then anyone i seen on the team last year. Must be a first year walk on or he came up from JV's Coach also said he like the defense this year. They like the defense that much and thats great news. also was nice to Ja'les back out on the field. with everyone. 45 kids out this year on the team. tons of seniors and leadership is improving. I like what I'm hearing from the coach. i think we might just see the Ursuline Campbell game. Also forgot looks more like Rayes is QB!! 8-1 as a starter at the JV level. Does anyone know if Shawndale Ray came out again this year. I hope so i don't know why but that kid excites me.
Unless there is a transfer, the biggest lineman Campbell has is Shaquan McWilson, who is a junior. Last season as a sophomore he started at offensive tackle and did a really good job. Last season he was 6-3, 300. He may have gotten a little bigger. -
reddevil90
Could have been but this kid was big. If you cath the preview he was the one that knocked over the kid will little effort. The more i hear the more i start to feel good about this season. Ja'les is a funny character though! He does not interview well seems shy! Letlow seems like he likes the camera. but all them have said its a team effort that needs to happen and i think we will be better then last year if the defense lives up to what coach said about it could be a special defense. Man if that happens and we have the same fire power on offense that could lead to a lot of good things. But I'm just gonna try to contain the excitement till we get mid season. cause i don't want to be let down... but its hard to not feel good. On another note my son will be eligible to play this season if he finished and passes his math course. but he is yet allowed to participate in drills!!! I have him running laps at the school every day and i got him lifting wights at a Gym. I hope he passes. but i still have not heard anything about my transfer. i hope its soon. if not it was not meant to be this year.BigDean1;831037 wrote:Unless there is a transfer, the biggest lineman Campbell has is Shaquan McWilson, who is a junior. I saw the video. The big kid in the blue shirt is McWilson. As far as the interviews, I thought each of the kids did a good job. They were all nervous and wanted to say the right things. They did.reddevil90;831131 wrote:Could have been but this kid was big. If you cath the preview he was the one that knocked over the kid will little effort. soupcitysoldierok guys i am hearing the aforementioned good news lets go devils was going to announce will probably not come to fruition, but i did hear we may have some other good news here in the next 2 weeks.
-
reddevil90
Ugggggg LOL well I'm hyped for what we got. But any more good news is always welcome by me!!! We are still gonna be explosive with Ja'les, Reyes should Take over for Lester and will fill in nicely and hopefully we don't lose a beat there. We have talent at Receiver and offensive line is shaping up to be real good. Defensively i take what the coach said could be a special bunch. We all have to admit Campbell has not been know in recent years for there defense. If we get a good defense and the explosive offense. The sky is the limit. All comes down to injury and staying healthy. I hope camp and doubles go well and will be injury free. First game is not that far away and we should see with Mineral Ridge just how good this 2011 version of the Devils turn out. I'm excited. But cautious! There is a ton of young talent on this devils team. And i hope each one of these young guns can step in and fill in case of injury!! Cant wait till the roster is out. I hope Shawndale Ray is out this year. From everything I know, he is playing.
The good news I was talking about did NOT come to fruition. We had a potential hog about 6'3" - 300+ moving in and the family either didn't move or chose a different district. Woulda been nice tho to add that much size to the line. -
reddevil90
Absolutely would have. Size on the line is a must in the AAC. But we have some good size there anyways. People i would hope that move to Campbell know that the school extra activity like basket ball baseball and football are starting to prove to be back on the up swing. Basketball has always been a good part of Campbell success out of the class room. And now baseball and football are catching on and can be seen by the number going out on the rise. a few good seasons and proven coach and staff makes all the difference in the turnaround. I know i owe a big thanks the coach Bayuk for taking on the challenge. and also the coach sakora for taking the job and taking us to new heights. we been blessed with good season as of late. and i hope to never be in that darkness of the mid 90's and most of the 2000's!! We all know we are gonna have out share of seasons where we wont win a conference or might not have a winning season. but then again these coaches know how to pull the best out of each kid. I hope these coaches stay for a very long time.http://www.wkbn.com/mediacenter/local.aspx?videoid=2661378lets_go_devils;831476 wrote:From everything I know, he is playing.

Did Patton transfer again??? cause my was watching a practise an didn't see him.omemorialhigh;833070 wrote:you will be seeing two new faces on the devils squad this year. two new players will be moving into the district. also a third may be transferring. i will let lets go devils confirm... -

Not that I am aware of . I was told that he was in camp for Campbell as of last week.reddevil90;833076 wrote:Did Patton transfer again??? cause my was watching a practise an didn't see him. -

Odds are, he skipped.reddevil90;833076 wrote:Did Patton transfer again??? cause my was watching a practise an didn't see him. -

I've been told that this is a kid that we should not count on. Coach Sikora will not put up with players missing practice or showing up late. Come August 26th if Patton is on the team vs. Mineral Ridge, so be it. He could be another offensive weapon and a DB on defense. If he isn't, Campbell will be fine. Patton's father was an All-Ohio back with Campbell back in the late 1980's. Just because he was does not mean this kid is going to get any special attention or consideration above kids who have already been working hard for months. He is just 1 of 45-50 players........if he wants to be. He transferred to Campbell last winter. Either he plays for Campbell or he plays for nobody this year. -
reddevil90Dean Thanks! But my brother was wrong cause i found out he has been attending practise. He might have missed a drill or two cause f vacation! He was in Florida. I already know he is not his dad trust me. But like i said he was used as a wide out for Poland and in the howland game was just super fast. had a kick return for a TD caught a few passes one for i think was 30 yards. but the more we have on the field Aug 26th the better. Kid has speed. but i don't know how good his hands are. but i also know he lined up at corner for Poland almost every down. If he screws up its not gonna hurt Campbell anyways. And i doubt he will be on the field every down unless it defense. I'm speculating that's all.

Dominic has raw speed but does not have the moves his brother Darius has. If he keeps his head on straight he can be used on special teams, on offense, and on defense. Cornerback and safety are two positions Campbell needs to improve on over last season. We also lost two very good linebackers and three good offensive linemen. Charles Smith and Clinkskale might fill those two holes at linebacker. -
omemorialhighsmith and clinkscale will do fine at lb...we are getting an LB type in soon also. lets be honest our lbs are not asked to read and react anyways. they usually just rush the gaps. i see patton, gabe smith, and rushton out at cb and they will be fine. our dline will be special. letlow broke out last year and should be a force at safety. he really laid some wicked hits. i think the defense will be much improved actually. the dline will absolutely be a huge force.

Man i like hearing that. Our Defense will be a force. Man that gives me Goose bumps. I hope everyone is right. All Campbell needed was a better defense last year! we could have been a lot closer to state. I'm not saying we would have got there but we sure as hell would have beat Akron in round two. they did not impress me as much as Martins Ferry. I know it don't look that way but we all seen why and what happen. -
omemorialhighspread, a little childish dig dont you think? Im sure you were one of the first to admonish the DE that blew his Ohio State scholarship?! Lets not forget they are kids that come from troubled family lives. I dont know you, but Im sure none of us would want to deal with their father being in jail. So lets keep the childish digs for Facebook. All he asked if he was still on the team because he didnt see him in a video.

I believe the coaching staff at Campbell will be able to keep Patton in check. He's had some issues since he transferred to Campbell. But maybe playing on a good football team with his friends will help. I am getting fired up for football season fellas. I like what I have been hearing. -
omemorialhighyes me too bigdean....i saw the field is lined. its getting close. can someone post the schedule
-
BigDean1aug 26: mineral ridge (H)
sept 02: south range (away)
sept 09: liberty (away)
sept 16: brookfield (away)
sept 23: labrae (away)
sept 30: ashtabula edgewood (H)
oct 07: champion (H)
oct 14: girard (away)
oct 21: newton falls (H)
oct 28: struthers (H)
It's the same schedule as last season except Ashtabula Edgewood replaces Salem, which left the AAC to join the NBC. That's a step down. Edgewood has dropped to D-4 this year and is not nearly the quality of opponent Salem was. I believe Brookfield comes off the schedule next season and will be replaced by Jefferson Area. Struthers will move from week ten to week one or week two. This season I expect Labrae, Girard, and Struthers should be tough games. Maybe Liberty too. They were down last year and gave the Red Devils all they could handle. As you can see four of the first five games are on the road. -
lets_go_devilsThere was supposed to be a passing scrimmage today at Campbell with JFK and Springfield Local. Not sure if that happened or not with the rain we got. Anyone know?
-
Gardens35The kid from Lincoln Knolls is small but has decent hands, and he's real enthusiastic.
-
reddevil90These kids believe in there hearts they can win another AAC blue and make it farther in the playoffs. The offence should not skip a beat even with a sophomore Qb at the helm. I heard Reyes is very good. and the line will be stellar this year again. all Ja'les needs is a hole just big enough and he makes things happen. Defense is the only thing that has been the ? for Campbell for years. last years was good we had a few hard hitters!! But they all need to hit and DO NOT GIVE UP ON A PLAY EVER!!!!! No matter how impossible it may look. Last year there was a few that gave up early on plays,,,, Im gonna miss Sakora sure tackling hands. and Guidos ,Williams. hard hits.
-
omemorialhighthanks garden...well def take anyone with enthusiasm. anyone have details on the passing scrimmage...if it was rescheduled?
-
OhioIs this new Qb going to be able to have the ability to keep plays alive as hughes did the past few years?
