  campbell is a lock for d5 from here on out, so going to have todeal with it. declining enrollment, declining population. this is what everyone in the youngstown area will eventually begin to feel, the mills arent coming back. theyre moving the 8th grade up to the h.s. next year because of declining numbers. were staying d5, whether ursuline will stay there also remains to be seen. either way we have to step up our game, we cant beat akron manchester so im not going to worry about ursuline just yet. lets take care of the teams on our schedule first.

  Campbell is now the only D-5 school in the AAC-Blue division. All of the other schools in the tier are D-4. Campbell will play just one team this season from a smaller division....Mineral Ridge. South Range is D-5. The other opponents are D-4 and D-3 which means plenty of computer points should Campbell win those games. This may work out quite well for Campbell providing they continue to win. There is no sense in worrying about Ursuline until the end of the season.

  Campbell will play outside there div for the most part this season... Campbell should be one of the better d5 teams other then Ursuline... just cant believe they dont see this problem demands immediate attention. Not one or two years down the road. and more then likely Campbell if they do make playoffs should not have to deal with Ursuline for one to two games if it gets that far.... Come on state do something about this. D5 was robbed last year and the year before,.

  You act like every other D 5 school in region 17 doesn't have the same concerns about Ursuline. That being said, does Campbell have a shot at the post season this season? You can't run every down.

  Spread I would say they have a shot...lost alot of seniors but this team will be filled with alot of juniors. Yes I do think they have a shot...7-3 should get them in with their schedule in D5, but I could definitely see them having some ups and downs with a young team. In all honesty, I think this staff knows the junior class is pretty good and they will be priming this team for a run the following year. The odds of Campbell facing Ursuline this year I think are slim...

  Campbell has a decent pool of talent coming back. But make no mistake about it, they lost a good core of senior players. What concerns me most about the upcoming season is whether or not the seniors can step up and lead.

  Tools are there. speed Check. size check. talent in skill positions check. inexperienced check. <----- thats the one that will hurt Campbell. they will have size and will have lots of sped. QB is a freshman or sophomore I'm not sure. the backs are all very experienced. the line will need to open up holes. then what about the d. big ? offense will score and score a lot. but will our defense allow others to score. i was really hoping Patton had the ability's as his dad and brother. but from everyone i hear is he is a troublemaker and lacks athleticism. but is the fastest on the team. we shall see.

I'm telling you something better get done. i knew this would not pass. why div4 and higher don't want to deal with them so they helped push this vote to no. state better get back to the drawing board real quick. cause if Ursuline and another parochial school wins another state. Man they are gonna be looked at as idiots.

  I hear that about Patton as well, sounds like bad news. Who's going to fill the QB slot? Fresh. Hughes or Soph Rhodes?
  Thats just trouble in the making, if these two lack an arm, teams are going to load up the box and stop that potentially deadly O of The red devils.

  Spread i don't usually agree with you but this time i do. But the Qb Will likely be Hughes or Reyes. And yes this will be the First Time in 22 years that a Patton will be on Knapick Field. But from what i heard the kid is more then likely the fastest kid on the team. But he is Not like His Brother And Fasha!<--- Austin Powers Joke. But the The Devils will Be fine and should be in the Mix for another tun in the playoffs. The Schedule is i think the same other then Salem was taken off in week 5 or 6 and replaced with another local school. I was Hoping it was JFK... Ill look i up and post it.

  This is the only change to Campbell's schedule from last year. we dropped Salem. 09-30-11 Edgewood vs Campbell at home. at 7:00PM

  I wouldnt count hughes in the qb mix...hes trouble in the making. Thinks hes Michael Vick and is not a good student at all...has alot of straightening out to do. I see reyes at qb.

  When I heard Campbell was moving down to Region 17, I got pretty excited because we will likely have an all-Mahoning County Regional Title game at Fitch when those two meet up in the playoffs. Ursuline likely the #1 seed and Campbell the #2 seed. The winner of that game wins state.
  
  I was very high on CMHS last year and love their Coach Mickey Sikora. If there is any team that can beat Ursuline in Region 17, I believe Campbell has the speed to do it. Most other schools at this level lack the speed to keep up with Ursuline, but CMHS has that speed which will make the match-up quite interesting!
  
  Lima Central Catholic is the only other school in D5 that worries me, that is if they remained in D5. Their QB Tyler O'Connor is loaded with BCS offers and was the best player I saw Ursuline face all of last year!

  Go Figure. My son just did not make the grade in math to play football. But he is going to summer school. so i hope this helps. he needs football to keep him out of trouble. He is not bad a kid at all or a trouble maker. He has so much talent but fear he will waist it. I want to get him into Campbell but i can not find any places affordable to live in Campbell. i have been looking. and i know my son would help on defense and would start. I want him to understand that if i do this and make the move he can not screw up. But it sounds like some of the players are not interested in keeping a straight line. I remember the 2ND playoff game and it just looked horrible when the players just didn't give a hoot if they won or not. laughing on the side lines chilling on the bench having a few laughs being down by on two tds. and i seen to many players give up on plays. you would be kicked if that was happened in 89. The coaches looked like they didn't care. i would have been screaming my head off and tearing into them. they would have been shitting Tiffany couplings for me.
