Division IV Region 14

Does he really need a reason for it...he's classyposter! haha

I just built the bridge for you Karen, now you can get over it! :D
  • karen lotz
nothing to get over. If my team were to win something, I'd more than likely say something about that rather than say who came in second. Obviously classy has had a bad experience with Eastwood.
  • OQB
haha yes I think he has! I agree, I would say something about MY teams accomplishments not how a rival (if it is a rival) ended up.

Classy is in his own "class" :)

Genoa has enough accomplishments to be able to find something to put in your signature about. I'm thinking he did that to stir up an Eastwood poster, and it kind of worked. Nonetheless, like I mentioned before Vicars' son has been quoted on the major league site that his father plans to retire here. Same thing for defensive coordinator Tim Speiss. Genoa is very welcoming and hold the both of them in very high regard, so let's just say they're very comfortable here. The talent pool is getting deeper by the year here in Genoa too. Sure we had a few losing seasons, but as many posters on here know, winning builds tradition and in turn grows local talent.

Oh and for the record, Genoa finished second once during Eastwood's reign in 2002. The championship was actually decided the last week of the season. Unfortunately for us hopeful Comets, Eastwood flexed their muscles and literally dominated from play one. That was a very good Eastwood team though, who I think lost in the playoffs to the eventual State Champion Kenton, led my Ben Mauk. Probably the best Eagles team I have seen.

It will be very, very interesting to see how God's team(Genoa) does in the playoffs this year. I dont see them getting past week 12 but thats why you play the games. They struggled with OH and let a not very good Eastwood team hang around.

Darnit. I seriously laid in bed last night thinking about and hoping nobody would catch that before I had the chance to get in in the morning to fix it. I was more worried about BRF... never thought it'd be you, riders1!

BRF probably goes to bed early or he would have caught you:)

Well Eastwood isn't bad like you're making them out to be, they almost beat a good Clyde team and the Oak Harbor game well they them without their RB hurt more than OH without their QB. Also i don't know why it's bad we struggled against Oak Harbor, with a win against Clyde they are D3 top 4 seed
  • Rocketsfan
Hey Classy, OH is a D3 - Top 4 seed right now !

Yeah I know but I was talking for like Week 11. This win pretty much locks up a home game for yall
  • BRF
Rider1 one is a sharp fellow and is correct that I was in bed, but I LIKE this quote. I might use it sometime.

There are chances of many combinations including that one. Lots of variables....one big one tomorrow if the OHSAA comes down on Elyria Catholic.

Our Supt. was down in C- Bus stating the case for changing the way parochial schools vs public are put in Divisions.
  • OQB
Division I thru III parochial schools play in Division I playoffs
Division IV thru VI parochial schools play in Division II playoffs.

    or

Have a Parochial division and let them all battle it out against themselves.

    or

    Use a Multiplier

Love the first idea. Those playoffs would be amazing

I just put in Fantastic50.net's newest predictions into my spreadsheet, and the projected seeds have changed!

    1 - 27.9000 - Clear Fork
    2 - 23.4949 - Elyria Catholic
    3 - 20.6500 - Genoa Area
    4 - 20.3000 - Orrville
    ----
    5 - 18.0000 - Ottawa-Glandorf
    6 - 16.8000 - Huron
    7 - 15.5000 - Triway
    8 - 13.7000 - Galion
    ========
    9 - 12.6500 - Ontario
    10 - 12.0500 - Clearview
    11 - 11.4000 - Evergreen
    12 - 10.9500 - Van Wert
    13 - 10.5000 - Black River
    14 - 9.7000 - Edison
    15 - 9.1500 - Port Clinton

If this happens, the 1st round match-ups would be:
    #8 Port Clinton @ #1 Clear Fork
    #7 Triway @ #2 Elyria Catholic
    #6 Huron @ #3 Genoa Area
    #5 Ottawa-Glandorf @ #4 Orrville

    * Fantastic50.net still has Triway projected as #6 seed. I have them as the #7 according to the site's game-by-game predictions.

I'm not going to post any additional scenarios for this week. But as always, once this Friday's games have been played, I'll be posting projections as to what each team needs on a game-by-game basis to make the playoffs or to clinch certain seeds.

OK... I guess I'll post this much:
If Orrville beats Clear Fork and Wooster, they'll be the #1 seed with Clear Fork at the #2 seed, roughly 0.3 points ahead of Elyria Catholic.
If Orrville beats Clear Fork and loses to Wooster, they'd be the #3 seed with Clear Fork the #1 seed, roughly 0.7 points ahead of Elyria Catholic, who would be the #2 seed.

I am just busting your chops hope you know that.

I have six kids and unless I win the Mega Millions they are all destined for public schools.
  • OQB
Yeah If I had to do it over again I would've gone to Kent State where they wanted me to walk on..Their punter their was a grad of West Holmes, and I had a better average than him when he was a senior for the Knights and I was a soph. Should've taken that offer and earned the scholarship. O well, live and learn.

Private schools are overrated anyway....and over priced lol!
