To be fair, we trolled them pretty good last season. If you dish it out, have to be able to take it.BR1986FB;1859222 wrote:Once a d-bag, always a d-bag....

Yeah Green is a bitch, but well done. -

They trolled first, we trolled back and now the pendulum swings back to them. It's all part of the game. Don't like it? Win. -

And Lebron one up's Green with a response to the "Quickie" t-shirt with "that's what she said, HUH?" This is great.Commander of Awesome;1859237 wrote:To be fair, we trolled them pretty good last season. If you dish it out, have to be able to take it.

slingshot4everRumor is straight up for Love, then belief is both George and James bolt for LA as they will be unrestricted free agents next summer.
Do you guys think LeBron leaves again or will he finish his career out in cleveland? -

Lebron will be in Cleveland to finish his career. Maybe a year or two somewhere else to finish his career ala Jordan and Washington.slingshot4ever;1859477 wrote:Rumor is straight up for Love, then belief is both George and James bolt for LA as they will be unrestricted free agents next summer.

His legacy on two teams, fine. His legacy on three teams? No bueno. -
friendfromlowryI don't get how anyone thinks they have any idea what Lebron plans to do next year. If they win the title next year, he's not going to go join the fucking Clippers after.
-
Laley23Yeah, pull the trigger on that immediately. Not sure LAL will up the ante knowing George wants to be there after this year anyway.
If Cavs get lucky, George has a blast in Cleveland and wins, then he and LeBron go for a few more years then PG goes to LA.
Either way, I make this happen before I answer the phone. -
slingshot4everWhat if Pacers wanted Irving instead of Love. Do you still make the trade? I would say no.

Laley23
No. Especially since George might leave.slingshot4ever;1859486 wrote:What if Pacers wanted Irving instead of Love. Do you still make the trade? I would say no. -

Sense from teams talking to IND is that Pacers intend to move fast on a PG deal.
-
BR1986FB
Not a chance and it won't happen. The Pacers are not in a position of strength here. PG has already told them he's playing out this year in Indy and then leaving in FA, so they have to get anything for him they can. In fact, if there weren't other teams interested (Boston), the Cavs might be able to add PG without getting rid of Love, but that's not the case so K-Love will likely be a part of any deal. All the Pacers can hope for is that several teams get involved and start driving up the price because they are really at a disadvantage here.slingshot4ever;1859486 wrote:What if Pacers wanted Irving instead of Love. like_thatMy thoughts on PG:
-No way in fucking hell I trade Kyrie. At this point the only guy I would trade Kyrie for is Kawhi Leonard.
-If PG13 says he would sign an extension I would be ok with parting ways with Love.
-If not, then I would not put Love on the table. Not worth a one year rental.
-I do believe that the Cavs/Lebron could convince PG to stay, especially after he gets a taste of what it's like to play for a championship contending team. I am not really sure why he would leave after he played in the finals for the first time in his career. I highly doubt that he and Lebron would bolt together to LA after playing in the finals. Lebron isn't a dumbass, he is aware of his legacy and he is much more insecure than he lets off. He wouldn't want one up KD's bitch move by pulling one himself.
-I know it's a little contradiction to say I beleive he will stay, but also don't move Love unless we get a commitment from him. I think it's much better to have a safety net (Love remaining on roster) just in case there is a chance he leaves, and it would be easier to convince him to stay if Love were on the roster.
-Just from what I am reading, I am getting the sense Cavs are really the only team that makes sense for this trade for a possible 1 year rental. There is a reason PG's team leaked this info imo. Boston could cut in, but I don't think Ainge wants to drain his assets for PG to possibly leave in a year.
-Since PG's team leaked the info, I think it drives down the trade value for him and thus Love's name should not be placed on the table for the initial discussions.
-If the Cavs have Love/PG/Kyrie/Lebron on the roster this upcoming season there is no excuse for the Cavs to lose many games when Lebron sits out, nor should he play 40 minute games. They would also be the slight favorites over GSW imo. -
like_thatAlso lol at the NBA where free agency once again is more interesting than the entire regular season/playoffs (with the exception of a few playoffs in the last few years).
-
Laley23I'll disagree with Like_That in saying make the deal even without a deal for George in place. Cavs are in year to year mode for titles. And George is a significant upgrade over Love, based on his style of play, versus the only team that matters next year, the GSW. I'd risk no Love or PG after next season for this upcoming season with George. I think he adds that exact type game needed to the Cavs. And I'm a big Love backer the last few seasons.

like_thatIn all seriousness though, I see what you're saying. I am just a bit more conservative. My fear is the Cavs make the finals and then lose again in 5 or 6 and the worst case scenario happens (PG and Lebron bolt). Then everything is blown up. I think PG/Lebron/Kyrie is a better team than with Love, but it's not a lock to beat GSW.

I agree with a lot of what you said in your earlier paragraph, but even if they don't make a move, lose in game 5 or 6 next year WITH K-Love, there' still a decent chance Lebron leaves, knowing the roster as constructed can't beat GSW's.like_that;1859511 wrote:In all seriousness though, I see what you're saying. I will go ahead and say it. There is absolutely 0% chance Lebron leaves if they have Love and PG13. There is no other roster the lakers could give Lebron in his closing window period to give Lebron a legitimate chance to win a title. Lebron isn't dumb.BR1986FB;1859512 wrote:I agree with a lot of what you said in your earlier paragraph, but even if they don't make a move, lose in game 5 or 6 next year WITH K-Love, there' still a decent chance Lebron leaves, knowing the roster as constructed can't beat GSW's.
