What is the point of making this announcement right now?

Sorry, that wasn't directed to you. More a general statement. Why the hell is it necessary for Lue to name starters NOW?

I'm just curious to see if Lue can actually coach. This has to be the deepest bench he has had. Old but deep.

What happens when LBJ sits? The Cavs fall completely apart. I think that is on Lue. I blame him for not getting the most out of his role players. Not to mention the Cavs record when LBJ didn't play at all. Having Love and Irving the Cavs were still better than most teams in the NBA.

I wonder if the Suns would consider a trade of Bledsoe for Shump and Jefferson and the #1 pick from the Nets. Looking at how bad a lot of the NBA teams look to be this year I don't think the Nets pick will be any higher than the 5th pick. I would take Bledsoe over Thomas this year and let Thomas walk at the end of the year. I admire Thomas's grit and determination but I would take 6'1" over 5'9" and better defensive play.

He's not the player he was, but I can't believe no one has signed him.

Why would you ever give the Brooklyn pick for bledsoe. R u serious?

I don't think the Brooklyn pick is going to be that high. I think having Bledsoe and Rose alternating at point guard all season long would be more effective than waiting for Thomas to get healthy and trying to get him acclimated the last half of the season. The Cavs need to cut someone and if they could get some value back for Jefferson that would be a plus. I don't see the need for Shump and would like to see the Cavs dump his salary. Just my thoughts.

You can do better than Bledsoe for that pick though.

I mean, yeah you're not going to get an all star for that pick, but Bledsoe? Nah I'll keep it for that.

I was just interested in what everyone else thought. Everyone is glad I'm not the GM:RpS_drool:

Bledsoe would be terrible value for that pick. Also, I get there are going to be bad teams, but where is this confidence coming from that the nets are going to be ok? Their roster is awful.

The Nets weren't that bad last year until Lin got injured. They should be better this year. The Pacers, Bulls, Pistons just to name a few could be worst than the Nets.

I dont think Detroit is anywhere near that bad. Bulls, Hawks, maybe Knicks.

I don't know if it's even statistically possible, but it seems like the east could easily have 5-6 teams below the worst team in the west. Orlando, Chicago, Indiana, NYK, Brooklyn, and maybe even Atlanta.

Excuse this being more of an NBA-related matter, but anyone see how they ditched the east-west all star format today? Just going to have two captains pick their teams. They really need to do that with the playoffs.

Why did I not know that Jeff Green is on the Cavs?

So many new players it is going to take awhile to figure who's on the floor at any given time.
  • friendfromlowry
Green was their one and only signing there for a while.
  • ernest_t_bass
Hawks probably going to win it all.
  • Laley23
Just had this thought. Memphis is in 10th in West around deadline. Decide to rebuild. Cavs could potentially have Conley/Gasol for the BKN Pick. Would this be preferable to Cousins?
