Dude on FB insisting on getting rid of Love but wants Porzingis cause they need a big rebounder.

    Great reasoning.

    Great reasoning.

I'd easily take KP over Love any day but don't see it happening. It's possible they make a splash and trade for a big name but I don't see it happening. I don't think many teams view Love as a key trade chip.

As was mentioned before the Finals series was over, if they strengthen the bench I think they will have a chance against GS.

Yeah, I read your post. They are both big rebounders. His reasoning was flawed. I was just making a general comment.

As flawed as saying LeBron and Love are both big scorers.

I wouldn't mind a trade either but it was idiotic

Agreed on idiotic. Had he said "KP has more upside", "is younger", etc he'd have valid points but the rebounding part is dumb.

Love is better in every single aspect of basketball aside from rim protection. Long-term, you probably make the trade...Cavs are in win now mode, that trade would set them behind.

Yeah....I pointed out his rebounding comment and then he rattled back with his rebounding dropped in playoffs from 11.1 to 10.4 and only 2 offensive rb per game.

Porzingis 7.2 rb per and also in Final when Cavs lost Love averaged 12.8 rb and 4 offensive in their finals losses. One game he had 21 rb and 5 offensive and Cavs lost by 20.

I wouldn't mind the trade though. Should be a lot of upside for a long time and Love might not be a starter in 3 years

Cavs to chase D-Wade, Melo after buyouts (rumor)? Thoughts on this?

Yes on Wade, indifferent on Melo. I'd take him as a 2nd unit guy, but don't want him getting major minutes.

Marc stein saying talks taking place including Indiana and Denver. Cavs to get PH, Denver gets Love, Indiana gets assets

I didn't express an opinion, with the link, but I don't know how either of those guys get them closer to GS. Wade can't seem to stay healthy and I agree with your comments on Melo.

Sounds like this is more serious than a "check-in" call. Please be true.

    OB1...?

Odd that the Cavs would be so high on this list, considering their cap situation, unless they were thinking sign & trade.....

#Pacers denied #Cavs' and #Nuggets' hopes of 3-team deal centered on Paul George and Kevin Love. Teams may revisit. #NBA[/LEFT]

Welp, never thought it was going to happen but there is the end of that pipe dream.

To me, it seems like a name recognition/Detroit buddy of Gilbert's. I think it's going to be pretty shitty if Griff wanted a raise and the title of "President" and they give that money/title to Billups, who has no experience. Besides having a recognizable name, I really don't know what Billups is going to be able to do that Griff couldn't. All of Griff's moves weren't home runs but he could get pretty creative.

I like that Gilbert has been willing to run high into lux tax, and has done a lot for the city of Cleveland, but damn sometimes he's his own worst enemy. Had to think he wasn't just better off paying Griffin a little more money. Chauncey fucking Billups is the best he can do? That's his magic fucking plan?
  • Laley23
I don't really want Billups, but Cavs need SOMEONE in the spot. It's getting ridiculous.

That's why I've compared him to Haslam. He's not the sharpest tool in the shed but he has money and is willing to spend.
