Garrett was also more productive in college and wasn't really surrounded by great talent on that a&M defense. At least there is no doubt now what we will do at number 1. I'd turn the damn card in nowslingshot4ever;1839822 wrote:Gholston ran a 4.58 and also had a 41" vertical

Gholston was a guy that didn't have a position at the next level, no one was touting him as the #1 overall pick before, during, after the combine like Garrett.slingshot4ever;1839821 wrote:People said that about Vernon Gholston as well....hopefully Garrett pans out -
Commander of AwesomePretty sure Gholston was a beast in college, even pwning Jake Long for 2 sacks. That's my memory any ways. I thought it waslove of the game and work ethic in the pros that cost him.

Azubuike24This is the NFL. If he's that much of a lock, why not explore a trade? If you can get a deal like the Rams gave up for Goff, Redskins for Griffin, Saints for Williams or Cowboys for Walker, it's worth trying.
The Browns have enough picks that they could immediately use those picks to move around even more into spots. -

Julio Jones. -
Azubuike24Signed,
If you fuck up all the picks when you trade down, then of course it looks bad.
Didn't the Browns trade up for Brady Quinn, Johnny Manziel and Justin Gilbert? -
SportsAndLadyThe point is, Julio was a sure fire WR pick. And we traded out of it to get more picks and we screwed them up.
Why would we trade out of drafting a sure-fire (my opinion) DE and risk screwing up the picks we received? -

Add in JJ Watt, Aldon Smith, Tyron Smith, Wilkerson, etc...SportsAndLady;1839929 wrote:The point is, Julio was a sure fire WR pick. And we traded out of it to get more picks and we screwed them up.

sleeperIf the Patriots are willing to trade Tom Brady, I'll trade them our #1 pick.
So I guess its possible. -

In the same vein, JT is/was a solid OL pick and how many playoff wins has he gotten us?SportsAndLady;1839929 wrote:The point is, Julio was a sure fire WR pick. And we traded out of it to get more picks and we screwed them up.

Crimson streakAlso something to keep an eye on, the pats offered there 1st rounder to the saints for cooks. I don't think the pats would do that if they aren't going to trade garrapolo possibly for the 33rd pick.

SportsAndLadyGonna take way more than our 2nd rounder to get Garapollo from NE.

Crimson streak
This is where I disagree no one is giving up a top 10 pick for him. And we're not going to give up the 12 for him when there are no other teams that would be offering a first round pick. We have the top pick in the 2nd round, that's better than any other team can offer at this point. I still don't think the browns have offered that pick hence why NE came out saying they aren't going to trade him (bullshit). I think we will see something happen with regards to JG closer to draft daySportsAndLady;1839937 wrote:Gonna take way more than our 2nd rounder to get Garapollo from NE.

Most likely. -
SportsAndLadyI hope we sign Pryor but giving him a gigantic contract, similar to one elite WRs sign? Not sure about that.

I agree. I love how he says he wants to stay in Cleveland but yet wants paid like an elite receiver. Sorry but he isn't an elite receiver. Anywhere from 7-10 mil a year is definitely a fair price for him. Anything more he can fuck offSportsAndLady;1839993 wrote:I hope we sign Pryor but giving him a gigantic contract, similar to one elite WRs sign? Not sure about that.
