Funny you mention that because, although I believe that most of us would agree that they're dildos, if Lombardi & Banner weren't fired before that 2014, the Browns would've likely had Carr and not Manziel.like_that;1860962 wrote:Imagine if they draft Mack and Carr/Bridgewater that draft. -

It's possible but, as you said, very narrow margin for error. If you look at last year's AFC playoffs, only Houston, Miami & KC didn't have what one would refer to as a franchise QB.Commander of Awesome;1860960 wrote:Its definitely possible to win a SB with a great line/running games and dominating Def. See 2002 TB, Ravens, Broncos, Seahawks as examples of SB winners with that formula. However it's difficult to sustain greatness that way, you have a very narrow margin for error. -
BR1986FBI know it's kind of the slow season until training camp, but I'm bored, so I thought I'd share a "smdh moment."
Joe Thomas has a small time slot on a local TV station, which is usually some funny stuff. Over the holiday weekend he had Corey Coleman and Jason McCourty on and decided to ask them some trivia.
The question was "which of these guys did/did not sign the Declaration of Independence?" For the most part, they did ok until Coleman was given the name 'Sherwin Williams" and he said "yes." -
BR1986FBAhhhh.....training camp starts in 2 days. Seems like the Browns season has already started with the way the Cavs have been acting lately.

BR1986FBLOL....Oh that Gregg Williams. This guy is great. Hope his defense plays as well as his intensity.

The part where he said "if your kids are allergic to the word 'f#ck' you'd better leave them at home" had me rolling. -
BR1986FBTraining camp kicks off at 3pm....
Three stories I'm watching:
1) How the revamped O-Line will look
2) Gregg Williams high energy defense (sub stories: Can Garrett stay healthy and will Haden bounce back?)
3) Most importantly, will one of these QB's (hopefully Kizer) step up and seize the opportunity.
(and of course, an injury free TC for all) -
Commander of AwesomeSome things I'm following:
RT Situation
Who is going to start at Safety/CB?
Who is going to step up at WR (if anyone). -

I'm hoping Coleman distances himself from the pack at RT. Only way I want to see Cam on the field is if someone dies.Commander of Awesome;1864266 wrote:Some things I'm following:

WR situation is kind of ugly but I forgot to add Duke Johnson to the mix with that group. Assuming he can stay healthy, if they put him in the slot he's like a third receiver. -
BR1986FBDamn....first day of TC and one of the thinnest positions on the team (WR) have already had two players leave the field (Britt and the WR they got from Cincy, along with a FB having to leave on a cart). Don't think the injuries to the receivers were serious though.

Britt was just cramps, lol. Glad to hear it. The local station was live from TC and they said he had just caught a long TD pass over Haden and was jumping up and down celebrating....then he walked off the field with the trainers. I'm thinking "you dumbass....injure yourself the first practice celebrating."Commander of Awesome;1864377 wrote:Britt was just cramps, lol. Drink some fucking water dummy. -
Commander of AwesomeHaden getting beat by Britt? Oy, our secondary is going to suck.
-
BR1986FBWas anyone aware of this? About 15 minutes ago was the first I'd heard anything about it.

BR1986FBYeah, I know...."MKC" but it wouldn't surprise me if Kizer is the Week 1 starter....

like_thatThe Browns are going nowhere this season. Just start Kizer and find out what he has.

Verbal KintNice bleachers they installed at camp this year

Agreed. They interviewed him today on 92.3 and that dude seems smart as Hell. Best case scenario, you avoid using a top pick on a QB next year.like_that;1864457 wrote:The Browns are going nowhere this season. Just start Kizer and find out what he has. -

Been saying this for years. He may not pan out, but that won't be because of a lack of smarts or focus.vball10set;1864577 wrote:Absolutely...the kid just seems to have 'it' -

I'm not sure that Kenny Britt is a great talent evaluator but he said yesterday that Kizer has improved immensely since OTA's and "is going to be one of the great ones."Laley23;1864602 wrote:Been saying this for years. He may not pan out, but that won't be because of a lack of smarts or focus.
Sounds like he wowed the crowd/media yesterday in red zone drills with his touch on over the shoulder fade patterns and the zip he displayed fitting the ball into tight windows.
I know we've heard this song & dance about QB's previously but wouldn't it be nice, for just once, where the Browns actually found gold with a QB that wasn't a 1st rounder?
