iclfan2Mock draft with Browns getting Garret and no qb off the board until 12 where they take Trubisky (probably would be whoever Hue likes most between him and Watson). That would have to be the Browns' dream if they do like 1 of the top 2 QBs. Unless there is a trade, think there is a decent chance no qb is taken prior to 12.

Didn't know Dane was with CBS now, good for him. Always enjoy reading his stuff, very knowledgeable. Also, I'm noting he's the first person I've seen with Solomon Thomas up there, which I agree with. He'll be a top 5 pick.iclfan2;1841501 wrote:Mock draft with Browns getting Garret and no qb off the board until 12 where they take Trubisky (probably would be whoever Hue likes most between him and Watson). Solomon Thomas is a beast. He was unstoppable in their bowl game.Commander of Awesome;1841503 wrote:Didn't know Dane was with CBS now, good for him. BR1986FBHere's the Cousins speculation...
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2017/03/14/cleveland-may-make-a-run-at-kirk-cousins/
As a side note, I think if this was leaked, it might be to drive down the price on Garoppolo. -
sleeperI'd take Cousins, a proven commodity, over Jimmy G, the next Cassel.
I'd trade a lot for Cousins. He's the best QB the Browns will have had for a long long time and would greatly accelerate this team winning a Super Bowl.
But I've been saying that for a long time and everyone was against it. Looks like, once again, for the 1,000th straight time, sleeper was right and you were wrong. -

Cite your reasons for JG being the next "Cassel." Because he comes from NE's system? I'd say "wrong." Quick release, goes through progressions, good arm, etc, etc. Everything I've seen/read about him has the makings of a potential franchise QB.sleeper;1841640 wrote:I'd take Cousins, a proven commodity, over Jimmy G, the next Cassel.

Right about what? Inventing arguments again I see.sleeper;1841640 wrote:I'd take Cousins, a proven commodity, over Jimmy G, the next Cassel.

I said the Browns should trade for Cousin's and everyone said that Jimmy G was better.like_that;1841642 wrote:Right about what? Inventing arguments again I see.
Apparently, now everyone thinks Cousin's is the real deal. It's quite incredible how my opinion is always ridiculed and then when reality happens and I'm vindicated, everyone pretends they were already onboard with my ideas.
Remember when I said I wouldn't trade Kyrie for Curry? Reality, it agrees with me. -

Yea, he's been there a few years now. I'm good friends with him. His draft guide is absurd.Commander of Awesome;1841503 wrote:Didn't know Dane was with CBS now, good for him. Laley23Lol. Ignoring that people (myself included) wanted to DRAFT Cousins???
-
BR1986FBFor the record, assuming they were to add another legit receiver, I think the addition of Cousins would make their offense a playoff contender type offense this year (defense still needs a lot of work) and Garoppolo could take them to 6-7 wins (looking at this year's schedule). I just think the price for Cousins is going to be significantly more than Garoppolo. Also think JG has more upside.

bases_loadedCousins is a career sub .500 QB who will get twenty some mill per year...no thanks.
That article was written because the Browns have cap and assets to do it. Why would the Redskins be so willing to get rid of him he if he's a "franchise" QB?

I'm not sure whether the Redskins will trade Cousins but, to answer your question, "because Dan Snyder's a proven dick."bases_loaded;1841791 wrote: Why would the Redskins be so willing to get rid of him he if he's a "franchise" QB?
Cousins was Mike Shanahan's guy, while RGIII was Snyder's. It pissed Snyder off when Cousins flourished and RGIII flamed out. Cousins wasn't Snyder's "guy." Hell, Snyder probably won't even trade Cousins to SF (his preferred landing spot) because he hates the Shanahan's so much. -
Benny The JetHow awesome would it be if Pryor went to Washington and ended up having Colt McCoy as his QB?!? Ha

My first thoughts. Pryor goes to the Redskins to play with a better QB and that QB bolts.Benny The Jet;1841797 wrote:How awesome would it be if Pryor went to Washington and ended up having Colt McCoy as his QB?!? Ha -

Playoffs? Have you seen our defense? I think you're over valuing the impact of a rookie CB/Safety.BR1986FB;1841777 wrote:For the record, assuming they were to add another legit receiver, I think the addition of Cousins would make their offense a playoff contender type offense this year (defense still needs a lot of work) and Garoppolo could take them to 6-7 wins (looking at this year's schedule). You must have overlooked this: "a playoff contender type OFFENSE this year (DEFENSE still needs a lot of work)"Commander of Awesome;1841841 wrote:Playoffs? Have you seen our defense? I think you're over valuing the impact of a rookie CB/Safety.
His addition, along with a WR, would put the offense in excellent shape. The defense needs fixed and they'd have to win shootouts. -

I actually really like our defense. That side of the ball will be very very talented just young. I think Williams will do absolute wonders for the defenseCommander of Awesome;1841841 wrote:Playoffs? Have you seen our defense? I think you're over valuing the impact of a rookie CB/Safety.
