Well good luck to him. But he can go fuck himself.Benny The Jet;1840888 wrote:Browns supposedly offered multi-year deal at 8 mil per year. I also saw reports that teams were weary of signing him to long-term contracts, due to lack of motivation by Pryor and character concerns. Didn't turn out how Pryor had hoped -
BR1986FB92.3 just had Florio on from PFT. I know, not everyone's favorite, but Florio said the Browns offered Pryor essentially the same deal as Britt (4 yr/$32M), which is the same (per year) as what Washington gave him. The strange part is that is sounds like Pryor's preference was a shorter deal where he could hit the market again quickly (ala Lebron James signing these 1 or 2 year deals to keep increasing his income).
What doesn't make sense, as S&L stated, big risk for Pryor as he's never really made crap for money in the league so he's betting on himself to break out.
Florio also mentioned this (shorter/prove it deals) will likely become more the norm than exception. Looks like that what Alshon Jeffery did in Philly (1 yr/$14M). -

We will see how long that trend lasts in the NFL. I wouldn't recommend it at all as an agent.BR1986FB;1840892 wrote:92.3 just had Florio on from PFT. Edit: It worked out for Revis though. I will give him that. There aren't many other guys outside of the QBs who should be gambling on 1 year deals. -
bases_loadedNot sure I'd turn down 17 million guaranteed for 3 if I was 28 years old in a league as ruthless as the NFL, but 3 million probably goes a long way in Jeanette. Not as far as 17 million but you know, go fuck your self TP

Except he's not Lebron James and is absolutely retarded if he turned down $24M for a 1-year deal.BR1986FB;1840892 wrote:92.3 just had Florio on from PFT. BR1986FBDianna Russini‏Verified account @ diannaESPN now 5 seconds ago TRADE! The Patriots have traded their #32 & 3rd #103 pick to the Saints for wide receiver Brandin Cooks & their 4th #118 pick per sources
I'm starting to think this Garoppolo thing could now happen. Pats also traded their 2nd rounder today to Carolina for a D-Lineman. I don't know all of the Pats picks but it would seem that they now don't have a draft pick until the early 3rd round (recouped this in the Carolina trade). I'd think Hoodie's gonna want some draft picks. -
iclfan2Pryor is retarded. La Canfora said it's basically $6M bc he won't hit incentives. Sign 4 at 8 a year and never work again. Fuck off Pryor, I hope you never do shit

Benny The JetPats don't have a pick until rd 3 pick 72, and only 2 in top 117. Gotta think they're going to want some picks

If the Browns draft a QB in this draft, the one I'd steer clear of would be Watson. I know that people roll their eyes when analysts talk about "hand size" and stuff like that, but Watson has one glaring metric that should jump out at guys like Sashi.....ball velocity.iclfan2;1840803 wrote:If Garrapolo is really off the table, we still have a ton of picks to move up from 12 and grab whoever Hue wants. (I hope it's Trubisky) Shall we start that debate?
They have measured this (supposedly) since 2008 and the minimum threshold for success is 55 mph. Since they've started keeping track of this, only one QB (Tyrod Taylor) has had any success with velocity under 55 (Dak Prescott threw 54 but had a bum arm at the time).
I don't believe there's a single starter in the NFL under 50 mph. Watson was clocked at 49 mph.
It's possible he could be the QB to buck the trend, but this could be a reason for his interceptions (ball hangs too long while the defender closes on it). -
SportsAndLadyNo thanks on Watson.
Stop me if you heard this before: he's a mobile QB with below average arm strength, struggles under pressure, and plays very well against Alabama.
We already took that player and he sucked. -

bases_loadedIf the analytics guys have their way it'll be Maholmes or Trubisky...if Hue has his way it'll be Watson or Trubisky IMO.

I like Crow, but I'd let him walk for a 2nd round pick.BR1986FB;1841430 wrote:

Don't think he'll make it to the 2nd. In fact, bet he goes before Watson.Benny The Jet;1841320 wrote:Maholmes Rd.2 please and thank you. -
justincredibleAnyone up for doing a mock draft if I put one together? I'm pretty sure we did a few in the early days, not how long it's been since the last.
-
Commander of AwesomeI'm in, and I'm taking the browns. Thanks
