I interpreted it the same way as somebody saying "(insert name) has a hard on for (insert player)." Br was being biologically accurate :RpS_lol:.

This. Lol. It wasn't meant literally.

    This.

In former Browns news, Jordan Cameron retiring from the Phins. Smart move. With as many times as that guy's been concussed, he's probably about as smart as a cornflake.

I was just talking to a buddy about how it's crazy how quickly his career fell apart. He had potential to be the 2nd best TE in the league imo.

Do you see jimmy out there asking for a trade? Do you see him making public comments about wanting to be the starter somewhere?

    No.

He seems like a low maintenance guy who is perfectly fine sitting behind brady for the next 2-3 years and then taking over from there. Obviously, he'll find a way to get his money where it doesn't hamstring the Pats.
I completely disagree. This is all about the patriots trying to get leverage since they have absolute zero leverage right now. Jimmy is a free agent next year and teams know they aren't going to tag him. As for a long term deal, there is no agent in football that would do that. He would get way more money on the open market than what the patriots would give him. And why the hell would you be a back up qb for another 2-3-4 years when you can be a starter for another team now. If he wants to be a back up another 3-4 years then I wouldn't want him anyways, because he would obviously lack a competitive drive. He might not come and and publicly say he wants traded or a chance to start but it's 99% sure he wants that opportunity to play and make a name for himself plus he would make way more money elsewhere. The patriots know this, the browns know this, that's exactly why the patriots are trying to get some type of leverage that they can otherwise teams wouldn't give up shit for him considering he will be a free agent next year. He will be dealt by the draft or on draft night. It's just a typical patriots play

The #Browns official release of RGIII will come today. They’re trying to shop Brock Osweiler. Will give Cody Kessler a chance to start.

Remember when there was confusion when he left for Miami that he had actually resigned with the Browns but then didn't? In hindsight, glad he left. Didn't really do shit for MIA. When healthy, he was a friggin' stud.

Yeah, he was also a total POS for his contract shenanigans. Fuck him.

How would you guys feel if the Browns drafted Joe Mixon?

As long as we're throwing out percentages, is there any reason to put more than a 55% chance that Jimmy isn't Matt Flynn Jr.?

I guess you're right. Since the previous backups to Brady were bad, that must mean the current backup to brady is bad.

I hate this shit. I hear "Matt Cassell 2.0" or "system QB" all the time. Drives me nuts. Never the good stuff you hear about him like a "quick release" and "goes through his progressions well" from people who actually WATCH quarterbacks. Always the bullshit.

BTW...you may be right on him not being available. Heard a national guy at lunch saying "the Browns think they are out of it on Garoppolo and will likely move forward with Kessler battling it out with a drafted rookie." Take that with a grain of salt because stuff can change but I'd puke if Charlie Frye Jr were the starter this year.

Weren't you the guy that said Weeden was the real deal?

No, what it means is no one knows. No one, including the so-called experts, knows for sure if a backup will be a player when handed the keys. Is he, if available, the best option? Quite possibly.

So what? I've admitted, on numerous occasions, I swung and missed on that one. People are wrong on here all the time. Hell, I hear there are still people waiting on promised Ipads?

The longer the draft goes, the harder it is to pass on the guy...plus Hooley will lose his mind.

I guess he had a great pro day too. Wouldn't surprise me to see him going day 2.

1 year, $8M to Washington for Pryor.
  • iclfan2
Lol a 1 year contract on a team where the GM just got fired and the qb doesn't want to be there... hmmm

What did the browns offer that he turned down? Why on earth would Pryor, who's never really been paid in the NFL, take a 1 year deal in basically his only chance of getting a long term deal?
  • Benny The Jet
Browns supposedly offered multi-year deal at 8 mil per year. I also saw reports that teams were weary of signing him to long-term contracts, due to lack of motivation by Pryor and character concerns. Didn't turn out how Pryor had hoped
