2016 Cleveland Cavaliers offseason

Cavs and JR finally come to a deal. 4 years, 57M

And there it is...JR signed for 4 years 57$
  • sleeper
Overpaid by a lot and the deal length is too long.

With that said, I'm glad the deal is done and he is on the team. We need him.

Tony Douglas was waived. Sleeper tell us again how felder and McRae won't get minutes and are fighting for the 14th spot on the roster

Good pickup. Certainly better to have this guy than the D-league contingent(Mcrae, Felder) get any minutes this year.
    Spot on once again sleeper!
  • Benny The Jet
I know Sleeper hates them so let's ignore him...
But does anyone else really like Mcrae? Watching him last season, and at the preseason this year, He doesn't play as good of defense as Shump, but he definitely has more offensive skills than Shump IMO.

Yeah you know you made it in the NBA when you still on the team that waives Tony Douglas.

I've watched enough of Mcrae and Felder to know they will never be NBA players. If they get a few minutes here and there, that's not going to impact their career trajectory much. They are being given slots on a team with the highest payroll in league history because they are dirt cheap.

He would have been good insurance if JR didn't sign.

Now that JR is signed, he won't play so why burn the salary + tax penalty on him? Mcrae is much cheaper.

So players are incapable of developing over time? They come into the NBA...and they are what they are...no getting better from coaching or being around a superstar...like maybe Lebron James?

Players can develop but its rare you exceed your initial potential. I think his ceiling is journeyman NBA player but his reality is probably D-league/overseas/cheap bench filler.

I'll be willing to bet either McRae or felder have a bigger impact this season then a few min a game.

If you want to bet, I'd be happy too. Define the metric 'impact' and we can begin down that path.

Someone had to take JR's minutes and that's why Douglas is signed.

I don't expect you and reality to jive though.

But hey guise, sleeper one time predicted that Rose is overrated!

LBJ given 47% odds to win his 5th MVP in the GM survey.

Warriors - Cavs predicted as Finals. Warriors winning it.
75% of GMs picked Lebron as the player that forces adjustments.

Curry picked over Lebron for last shot with game on the line. Apparently none of these GMs watched Game 7.

That should end well, no drama there.

Shump sucks. He's better than our D-league contingent but that's about it.

I just got a thing from Bleacher Report saying Cavs shopping Mo Williams and Mcrae. I'm confused how they can trade a retired player?
