Heat talks stalled, he said he is open to leaving.

Your opinion... I think you're drunk, however lol.

KAT is going to be an all-star very very soon and for many years
  • SportsAndLady
How can you not be a fan of Towns? Lol kids a stud.

Also, I'd take Klay Thompson on my team any day of the week.

Love his game (ice cold deadly shooter and pretty good on defense)....but he showed to be pretty damn bitchy and Cavs aren't like that.

Don't forget, just because they don't have the cap room to do anything major in the FA scene (MLE is 5.628, probably wont be a big splash), they do have TPE's available.

2.39 from Haywood(part of it used on Frye) that expires on 7/30.
2.85 from Mike Miller, expires on 7/30.
9.63 from Andy Varejao expires on 2/18/17.

The TPE's cannot be combined or have a player attached to it.

Also, 2 TPE worth less than 1M each from Joe Harris and Jared Cunningham.

The cavs won't have the full MLE. Because they are over the cap. So they'll only have the mini(taxpayers) mle which is 3.5 mil.

Good catch. I had even just read that when I was getting the TPE amounts and expiration dates from the link below.

No chance in my opinion. Wade isn't quite at the point where he wants to take junk money to play with Lebron.

I think Wade wants too much from the Heat like the deal Kobe got with the Lakers except the Heat are much more cost conscious. I think Wade signs a 3 year deal with the Heat and then would be open to ring chasing with Lebron. Of course, 3 years from now, I don't expect Lebron to be this good so by that point it will probably be KI's team.

The Heat just need to point to the Lakers when in contract talks with Wade. "Do you want to have top 3 picks in lottery multiple years, because you think we should overpay you for what you've done?"

I'll say it if no one else will but is it a foregone conclusion that the Cavs will be back in the NBA Finals next year?

Health and KD staying out of the east will factor into this, but I like their chances.

Disagree. You can go ahead and put Lebron in the Finals for the next 2 years at minimum. I could see him going 10 years straight honestly, winning 3 of the 4 remaining times.

6 rings, 6 finals MVPs; it's too bad no one will ever be better than Jordan. /s

What if he is injured? Thus why I mentioned health.
  • thavoice
Only way it doesn't happen is if Lebron misses much of the season and playoffs and he has been a beacon of healthiness unlike that fragile Jordan who broke his foot.

Agreed. He is put together too well to really come down with a bad injury.

So rumor has it Lebron is willing to take less to get Wade. Miami believes Lebron is just saying this to help Wade out and gain leverage in negotiations with Heat. Either way, win/win for Cavs. Either get Wade (unlikely) or drives up spending of Miami, leaving them with less options free-agent wise

Not buying Lebron taking less money, even for Wade.
