Um...Jones was traded...last night.BR1986FB;1737417 wrote:And as far as Jones goes, I'm not a Mo Williams fan but if they are going to have to pay the luxury tax regardless, why not bring in a proven guy to spell Kyrie versus overpaying an unproven rookie like Jones? -
FootwedgeDon't like trading Tyus Jones for 2 bums. Ridiculous. Jones would have been a great get for this team. Whereby his outside shooting last year was only fair, he would develop into a great outside threat. Anybody that hits 89% from the line will eventually torch from outside.
This foreign guy shooting guard is a terrible free throw shooter. -
FootwedgeNothing anymore would surprise me. If LeBron leaves, IDGAS.

Please tell us more, oh wise sage, about how good of an outside shooter Delly is.
Does Tyus hit as many bombs as you? If so, we probably shouldn't have traded such a formidable player. -

Getting something is different than getting something actually valuable. I don't think we'll get anything valuable because teams aren't pressed for cap space the same way they used to be, but I hope I'm wrong. -
MulvaJones is a flopping douche and one of the few players of this draft I find it difficult to like, so from that perspective I'm glad he got traded. He's a good player, though.

Lovejoy1984LBJ opted out today. ESPN went from six to midnight. Though they at least noted he intends to resign with Cleveland. Though, from what i've seen, they've continued to ignore that for love.

like_thatWindhorst reported the growing sentiment around the league is love will sign with the cavs derp. I feel like all those other reports were other teams just trying to pressure the cavs into offering love the max.

I feel that way too. But I really don't think it was ever a question in regards to us offering him the max.like_that;1737693 wrote:Windhorst reported the growing sentiment around the league is love will sign with the cavs derp. But I've hated how they cite "Rival Executives" or "Executives Around the League", of course they think he's gonna leave, because it helps their cause. Hopefully he signs the full 5 year max, though I doubt he does. -

Last week on Cleveland radio, Windy said that LeBron has had no interaction with the FO about offseason moves and won't until July. This was right after Griffin said that LeBron keeps in contact and is a big part of offseason discussion.like_that;1737693 wrote:Windhorst reported the growing sentiment around the league is love will sign with the cavs derp. When was the last time that Windy was correct about anything? -
sportswizuhrdAnyone remember what teams Windhorst played on?

Lovejoy1984That head shot is awful. He needs to grow a beard or something, cover that double chin.

Dr. KnOiTaLLThe Cavs "have planned to extend" a five-year contract worth more than $110 million to Kevin Love, sources told ESPN's Brian Windhorst.
Cleveland is preparing to bring back their most critical pieces, and although it will cost them to do so, Dan Gilbert, David Griffin and co. appear committed to keeping this team together. Whether Love would prefer to sign a short-term deal is another issue entirely, but it looks like the Cavs have no reservation about paying the man. There is a "growing belief" that Love will re-sign in Cleveland, the move he said he'd make all season long.
Tristan Thompson is in search of a contract worth at least $13M annually, sources told ESPN's Brian Windhorst.
A similar report emerged earlier this season, so we can't say that we're surprised. The Cavs "intend" to re-sign Thompson, and he's got all of the leverage in the world after a dominant postseason. Oh, and he also shares an agent with that LeBron guy. We guess that matters.

BR1986FBSaw some pictures of Love & Lebron hanging out poolside in LA from over the weekend. LBJ was in town for his skills academy thing. Supposedly wasn't a "recruitment" meeting, just hanging out.

ESPN's Tom Haberstroh: "He is. I said he was going back to Miami last year so take this with a grain of salt, but I do think there's a 99.999% chance he's going back to Cleveland." (Via Mike & Mike) -

Seriously. A grown man follows a teenage guy around with a microphone, he gets rewarded with an ESPN gig. I follow a teenage girl around with a video camera and I get a restraining order.bases_loaded;1737767 wrote:Windhorst turned teen stalking into a career at ESPN

ZWICK 4 PREZseen the lakers would move russell for Cousins.. wonder if they'd take Love for Russell.
-
Azubuike24Sounds like a big ploy throwing Russell's name out there. Not sure how the Kings would have the leverage to get Russell out of the deal unless it's a bigger deal going to the Lakers.
