He had a higher shooting percentage than Lebron did in his rookie season from both the field and from 3. Sure the advanced stats weren't too pretty but he also was on the wing on a terrible team and still averaged 17 & 5 while shooting 44% from the field and he just turned 20. I don't think it'll take a whole lot of wishing with someone like WigginsHighRoller74;1736286 wrote:No, just no.
You trade an unknown player, for a player the caliber of Kevin Love 10/10.
You guys don't seem to agree him being a top 10 player, but I don't think you'd argue top 20. There is no guarantee Wiggins is ever that good. Can he get there? Sure. But he was poor on defense this season, and that was supposed his calling card. Also, he can't shoot....like at all. Nor can he dribble. Going by the PER Efficiency ratings, he was actually a below league average player last season. You and others fall in love with his "upside" and sure he's got a high ceiling, but you don't waste the tail end of LBJ's prime hoping and wishing on Wiggins development.
Unless Love leaves this offseason or next. Then you'd be right. But I"m taking love at his word.

Only one I would like is Eric Gordon. But isn't he always hurt, too?sportswizuhrd;1736313 wrote:Reading some forums and wanted to almost merge them with our board by bringing some trade ideas thrown around by other posters. Do any of these sound like a good deal?
Haywood + #24 for...
With Mike Miller to New Orleans for Eric Gordon.
Gerald Henderson from Charlotte
OJ Mayo and Caron Butler(waive) from Milwaukee
Terrance Ross/James Johnson and Greivis Vasquez from Toronto
Again, just using this as more chatter because rumors this time of year are pretty pointless unless it comes from people like Wojo.
I guess in that scenario we aren't really giving up too much, and adding an alright player. But I'd rather wait it out to see what we can get rather than just pull the trigger now. -
Azubuike24If the Cavs could get Terrance Ross, it would be a steal.

Think they will have to get someone who can play the 3 when lbj us out. He's going to need a lot of time odd next season. -
NateI think mostly everyone comes back. I think they bring in a SF to put in when Lebron has to move from the 3 role. It'll be a defensive 3 IMO

There aren't enough open hospital beds in the city to handle a team with Love/Irving/Wade/Andy.sportswizuhrd;1736425 wrote:Wade's Dad speaking at a church while wearing a Cavs shirt. Let more rumors fly!

like_thatTwo things:
1. I am not sure what IQQY is saying, because I have him blocked, but I do know he is doing absolutely nothing to contribute. Can we get a thread ban on him?
2. I have heard Ryan Anderson as a name being thrown out there. Pelicans need to clear some cap space to make moves, so they might want to take on Haywood's contract. I think Anderson off the bench would be LEGIT and could save a lot of mins from lebron. -
Lovejoy1984Ryan Anderson is a PF, I don't think he's got the agility/speed to guard the 3.
Also, he's a turn style on defense. If there was no one else we could get, I'd definitely take him, don't get me wrong, but He'd be way down my list of possible targets. Not to mention, he's played more than 66 games 1 time in his 7 year career. That scares me.
I'd hope if LMA signs else where, we make a serious run at Batum. -
Midstate01If the cavs got Anderson from Virginia, I'd be ecstatic

Financially the deal doesn't work according to the Trade Checker on realgm.com. No need for him unless Love walks and at that point it could be too late. If they want to trade the 1st rounder with Haywood to get a better deal out of it, the other team will want to tell Cleveland who to pick. Due to a rule preventing teams from trading 1st rounders in back-to-back drafts ('16 is owed to Phoenix) the Cavs can't trade the pick until after the draft.like_that;1736448 wrote: I have heard Ryan Anderson as a name being thrown out there. W/Love and everyone gets re-signed...
Irving/Delly/Harris
Shumpert/Smith/Jones/Miller
James/Jones
Love/Thompson/Anderson
Mozgov/Varejao/Perkins
2nd Round pick if they keep it, and another player from NOP to make the Anderson deal work, would be the 15th and 16th guys. -
sportswizuhrdI have also seen this as an idea thrown out for the Haywood contract....
Haywood + 2015 2nd to Philadelphia to create a TPE before August 1st.
Make a deal in the offseason and give the new player(s) time to gel or use it before the trade deadline where the options become limited? -

It was a swing and miss joke about them being hurt all the time or something. Disagree on the thread ban, though. Here's an individual who spends a considerable amount of time going online to engage with people who have no interest other than belittling them back. Could you imagine your life being so pointless?like_that;1736448 wrote:1. I am not sure what IQQY is saying, because I have him blocked, but I do know he is doing absolutely nothing to contribute. 2. Ryan Anderson is another Spencer Hawes, I would think we could get something better for Haywood and the 24th pick. Also I want a backup ball handler more than a 4th big. -

Dr. KnOiTaLLI wish we could figure out a way to get Wes Matthews in Cleveland. That would give us another great perimeter defender, as well as a guy who can know down the 3.

There's no doubt Lebron gets Cleveland a title. It's a matter of when and how many.BR1986FB;1736539 wrote:Message from Lebron....

He was always a very physical 2-guard. His best attribute was the ability to actually drive and finish cause he was built like a square in the shoulders and was explosive. It was the perfect compliment to his great shooting. But, in the NBA, he got knocked around too much and it took a toll on his body. He has said he is trying to refine his game to not drive as much and save his body. He focused way more on just shooting and not being a focal point (with AD) in the middle he has a great year shooting.
He he would be great for the Cavs, and Shump and JR or EJ and JR could anchor the 2nd unit. You'd probably like to have him start, since he proved this year he is best suited to be a lesser option and nail open threes. -
