It's meaningless because lhslep said so. End of story.

That being said, I think Kyrie will come around. His injury has plagued him even in his playing time this year. That will change as he gets more game-ready.

Also, I think we'll make a move in the next month. A significant move. There are a lot of big time players out there who's teams are looking to trade them this season. I'm hoping someone like Sacramento takes Love and AV and his contract and a few draft picks for Cousins. Greg Monroe is in that same category as well.

We need to make a move though. Going forward with the lineup as is, even if they start to build better chemistry, is still probably not enough to beat GSW or the Spurs.
Cousins to the Cavs would be insane.

Jesus christ S&L we took the Warriors to 6 last year without Love and Kyrie. To say we're not a championship caliber team is as fucking stupid and ignorant, if not moreso, than you saying Paul George is a garbage player. Just shut the hell up if you're going to overreact to that extreme.

This is not an example where ignorance is bliss because most of you have your panties in the biggest bunch over a REGULAR. SEASON. GAME.

    You guys are unreal.

And as plausible as you guys understanding the impact of last night's game on our chances of winning the NBA Finals.

    Relax dude.

Lebron literally just said what I said. That we aren't a championship caliber team yet.

It is of my opinion that we need to make a significant move to become one. I don't believe this current roster, even if gelled together by seasons end, can beat the Warriors or Spurs in a 7 game series.

It's probably time for you and a lot of cavs fans to open your eyes, be reasonable, and understand that the Warriors are a better team than us, even if healthy.

NO WAY!!!111!! WE ARE NOT A CHAMPIONSHIP CONTENDER BECAUSE WE LOST BY 34 IN JANUARY!!!!111!!

    Where did I say that?

I said it's not meaningless and I'm correct.

The loss by 34 at home does not concern you? June isn't that far away and the Cavs have been sleepwalking so far through basketball. You can't just turn it on once June hits.

    1) It's a completely absurd statement, for anyone, to make given what happened last year

    2) The difference between you and Lebron: you're saying and believing it, which is stupid; and Lebron doesn't believe it, he's saying it for motivation.

Lol did Lebron tell you that?

You're seriously trying to speak for Lebron now?
  • lhslep134
Sure S&L, I'm butthurt by the complete ignorance and stupidity shown by the overreactions to a January NBA game. If that's a problem, then stop being so fucking ignorant.
  • Automatik
The only overreaction I'm seeing is from you.

LMFAO if you think Lebron doesn't say that stuff for motivation. Someone apparently forgot to read this: http://www.si.com/nba/2015/12/01/lebron-james-cleveland-cavaliers-kobe-bryant-stephen-curry-dwyane-wade

But how do you know that what Lebron said last night was just for motivation? Most people outside of, well, you, believe that we aren't a championship quality team right now. Lebron says that. And you're telling us that he's just saying that to light a fire under his team? That after getting blown out by 35 against a team that just won a title over us, at home, isn't at all a concern to Lebron or anyone else?
  • lhslep134
My only response to you S&L is this: if you truly believe we're not a championship contender and that Lebron didn't say that to motivate the troops, then you are a fucking idiot and there is no reason to engage you in a basketball conversation if you're going to show that level of ignorance.

Sweet. Someone has a different OPINION than you, they're a fucking idiot and you can't even FATHOM being in the same conversation as them because they're sooooo beneath you on an intelligence scale!!

    Smh

I know you've only been a lawyer for a year or two, but you've already fallen into the "pompous douchebag" category that the majority of your peers fall into.

The amount of times he flings out ignorant, idiot, stupid, etc. is fucking nauseating.

I feel for those who have to deal with it offline on a daily basis

You are severely underestimating sports psychology.
  • lhslep134
Let me put it into terms that you can understand:

    1) You said we are not a championship contender yet;
    2) Teams don't turn into a championship contender overnight; you either are one or you're not
    3) You tried to justify your comment by saying that Lebron said the same thing;
    4) Lebron has said before he says what he says to motivate

So while you want to classify me calling you a fucking idiot as "being a pompous douche because our opinions are different", in reality if you break down what you actually said, you are being a fucking idiot.

It has nothing to do with differing opinions; it has to do with the fact your opinion is clearly wrong. Just because you want to couch a denial of fact as your opinion doesn't prevent me from attacking it as false.

Sorry that I use ignorant for it's literal definition, to mean lacking knowledge. In this case, it's the knowledge that an individual regular season game for a championship contender has no impact on the NBA playoffs, that the Cavs are a championship contender, and that Lebron says a lot of things he doesn't truly mean as a means of motivation for his teammates.

All of my points are factually supported, valid points that are being disagreed with.

If you feel that any of those disagreements can be supported, then provide the support.

    But you said meaningless.

    mean·ing·less
    ˈmēniNGləs/

    having no meaning or significance.
"the paragraph was a jumble of meaningless words"
    synonyms: unintelligible, incomprehensible, incoherent
    "a jumble of meaningless words"
    having no purpose or reason.
"the Great War was an outstanding example of meaningless conflict"

"she felt her life was meaningless"
  • lhslep134
I don't really care if you guys think I'm being a pompous dick. I know my argument is actually supportable while your emotional responses to last night's game are not.
