Would never happen. Lebron cares more about legacy than he does anything else. He got a second chance at maintaining his legacy by coming back.Commander of Awesome;1739036 wrote:Overseas to play for $50 mil a season?
Also, no chance any overseas team ponies up $50M for Lebron to play. He's not worth that honestly. -
Azubuike24There's gotta be a line.
The Cavs traded a lot to get Love, for LBJ
The Cavs went max on Love, for LBJ
The Cavs keep Andy around, for LBJ
The Cavs want to pay Thompson arguably more than he's worth (to them), for LBJ
I mean, maybe he and Gilbert had some sort of agreement that if LBJ comes back, he basically calls the shots and has an open wallet. Still, LeBron bolted Cleveland for a "better roster" in Miami. He bolted Miami for a "better roster" in Cleveland. He just went to the finals, without Love and basically Kyrie? There's nowhere better to bolt too... -

I remember a few seasons ago that being floated around, especially in China. LBJ said something to the effect that $50 mil a season would be nice.sleeper;1739039 wrote:Would never happen. HIGHLY unlikely I agree, but if LBJ left I wouldn't be shocked if it were for Overseas team. -
Azubuike24Isn't like 80% of LeBron's income from things other than his NBA salary? Maybe more? Would 50M in salary in China be worth it?
Maybe so. China is fucking huge. He might make even more money exploiting their money. -
Laley23LeBron isn't going anywhere. He would be hated by EVERYONE in the league and anyone who covers the league. He is retiring a Cav. This is the most retarded discussion ever.

If he could get that deal it would be worth it as he would likely also get a bunch of endorsements in a huge market.Azubuike24;1739042 wrote:Isn't like 80% of LeBron's income from things other than his NBA salary? Maybe more? Would 50M in salary in China be worth it?

However, I don't think Lebron's legacy would increase by going overseas to play with a bunch of shitty leagues. -
AutomatikLeBron is not going to fucking China.
I highly doubt he ever leaves Cleveland, and if he does it will be after he brings a title. -

I'm betting Gilbert let Lebron build his team as a condition for coming back and I'm also betting Lebron is a big reason why the TT deal isn't done.Azubuike24;1739040 wrote:There's gotta be a line.

TT is restricted so no way the Cavs let him leave without matching. The open market will give him a smaller deal and the Cavs can match. Or TT can take the 1 year offer at like $7M or w/e which is risky for him. Cavs win either way. -
friendfromlowry
I'm not sure what role - if any - Lebron plays with TT's contract but for the reasons you mentioned it's only a matter of time before he resigns one way or another.sleeper;1739051 wrote:I'm betting Gilbert let Lebron build his team as a condition for coming back and I'm also betting Lebron is a big reason why the TT deal isn't done.

Fucking THIS. Are we fucking serious right now? Lebron playing overseas? Lol are you bored COA?Laley23;1739045 wrote:. This is the most retarded discussion ever.
Everyone relax. Lebron was just in a movie where he made a reference to loving Cleveland. He's not leaving. -

AutomatikYeah, he's taking his family and the LeBron brand to the wonderful People's Republic of China.
Didn't people say dumb shit like this about Kobe a few years ago? -
ZWICK 4 PREZlebron would be slammed beyond any level hes ever felt if he left Cleveland after theyve gotten and re-signed all these guys.

Never said it was playing overseas dipshit. Nice reading fail.DeyDurkie5;1739067 wrote:Please tell us more about Lebron playing overseas[emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]
I'm just not convinced it wouldn't consider playing elsewhere the way you guys are. $$$ is a great equalizer -
like_thatNot even close to worried about LBJ leaving. We all know there are idiot journalists digging and reaching so far to find a possible "LBJ mulling another team" type story and the fact there hasn't been one out there pretty much says it won't happen. LBJ will sign after TT. TT is being a bit obnoxious though. I get he is trying to get paid, but 1. he isn't worth more than Kyrie and 2. if he thinks he is worth more than Green then he should have provided a lot more on offense during the finals.

Yeah nice cherry pick fail there dummy. I didn't say it, LBJ did several yrs ago. All I'm saying is possibility LBJ isn't playing as a cav next season is greater than 0%SportsAndLady;1739092 wrote:Yeah, you definitely didn't say that...
lol at you knuckleheads (esp S&L and Durkie, 2 brothers....hmmm) getting your panties in a bunch. -
Commander of AwesomeWAH I don't want LBJ to leave, and will use vague BS shit like "Everyone will hate him!11" to justify my response! Never mind that he hasn't signed, everyone hated him then they didn't LAST time, and purposefully gave himself as much leverage as possible in case he decided to leave. Chances are low, yes but to even consider it, means you're a fucking idiot!11 /S&L+DeyDerpie

Yes let's keep comparing the offseason of when lebron left to this offseason. They're completely the same. Yep.Commander of Awesome;1739105 wrote:WAH I don't want LBJ to leave, and will use vague BS shit like "Everyone will hate him!11" to justify my response! Lovejoy1984The chances he leaves, are greater than 0%, I do agree with you on that. BUT, there is a great chance of me winning the lottery, than LBJ leaving this offseason. The hit he would take PR-wise would be too great for him to ever overcome, not to mention unless he takes a severe pay cut, he'd be unable to find a better winning situation.
This offseason with TT, just seems to be the Penance that Gilbert has to pay for the Letter.
