Kinda apologizing but he is one psycho crazy SOB -

And give up 5 runs....then act all soft psycho in postgame interview talking about brotherhood and shit. He's been on the team for 6 weeks as a relief pitcher who gives up leads and he's yelling at the MVP after being frustrated for missing a good pitch to hit? That's the manager's job.....not the psycho bully who plays all innocent and heartfelt in order to relieve himself of being punished.Mulva;1753486 wrote:And then they still brought him in to pitch.
Papelbon started it and grabbed him by the throat....then afterwards had his crazy "I'm going to eat your baby kittens look)
Then Joe Magrane commends him for being mature and called Harper a petulant child. -
Ironman92The altercation fiasco is getting crazier. Williams now saying he had no idea of it going on and had he known the severity wouldn't have put Papelbon back in the game. Way to be aware.
And here are a couple of pics of Papelbon about 20 seconds after they were separated. Psycho much?

Ironman92Holy Hell catch and collision in LCF....Piscotty is hurt bad
-
Ironman92Replay is bad....hope he doesn't have a broken neck
-
MulvaLooked like pretty square knee to mouth contact. Would not be surprised if he needs some dental work after that.

HereticPirates starting today where they left off Monday -- sucking ass with runners on base.
-
HereticAnd they finally didn't squander baserunners, thanks to a Cervalli grand slam. I will say, if the Pirates can somehow get past Arrieta in the wild card, I think they should be able to handle the cards, just due to their pitching issues. Losing Martinez hurts and the fact Wacha has weakened as the year's gone on won't be good news for them over any extended series.
-
Ironman92If they can get past Arrieta I like their chances to get to the World Series
I still would pitch Lirano over Cole -

I can see what you're saying. I think that the rational for Cole is simple, though.Ironman92;1754217 wrote:If they can get past Arrieta I like their chances to get to the World Series

Cole typically (with a tiny couple exceptions during this year) has been good to great. You expect somewhere between 7IP, 1ER to 6IP, 3ER. Liriano has the same great potential, but is also likely for 4IP, 6ER sorts of performance. I think the mindset is that, regardless of how Arrieta is pitching, Cole is more likely to match zeros and at least keep the team with the Cubs. -

Liriano has different stuff than Cole...stuff to offset Rizzo, Schwarber Couglin and Montero.....his change up is key and should give Bryant trouble.Heretic;1754698 wrote:I can see what you're saying. I think that the rational for Cole is simple, though.

Cole is a stud no doubt....I feel the Cubs being a great fastball hitting bunch will get him a few times.
It's ballsy. By the book you go Cole and if you go Cole and he loses no one questions. You go Liriano and he duds and you are a goat.
But I still like what Liriano brings in the home matchup vs the Cubs....at home I think the atmosphere will have Cole trying to over-throw, whereas Liriano's go to is to take something off. -
Azubuike24Unbelievable. According to C Trent, Bryan Price will return as Reds manager in 2016. I have no words...

Ironman92There isn't anything that can convince me that Jocketty wants to win. I'd swear he just left to ensure the Reds weren't the team to take over for the Cardinals.
I bet he and LaRussa call each other and have a good laugh about once a week. -
Ironman92Angels down 4 going to the 9th in Texas and score 5 effing runs to rip the hearts out of Astros fans.
-
Ironman92Max Scherzer holy hell.
Another no-hitter and struck out every batter their 3rd time thru the lineup. 17 K and only an Escobar error from a perfect game.
2 no hitters this year, lost a 3rd in the 9th and 2 others in the 8th. -
Ironman92Christian Yelich is 8 for 8 today, now in the 7th inning of a DH
-
Ironman92Pedro Alvarez just hit one out of PNC...completely.
