2015 Browns Offseason Thread

    Hoyer: 55.3 % 3326 yards 12 TDs, 13 INT 43 QBR
    Carr: 58.6 % 3112 yards, 20 TDs, 11 INT 40 QBR

I'm not saying he's the best QB of all time (I'm not FW or IQQY), but you've gotta give credit where its due Carr has been the best Rookie QB this season, and it's not really close.

Regardless if he checks down, he's moving the sticks, something we didn't do this year, at all. Our WR's are comparable, but the Browns have the edge on TE, RB, and its not even close on the OL.
I'll take Bridgewater as the best rookie QB.

This. What is done behind closed doors is an unknown to us. I would EXPECT a player of Whitner's caliber and pedigree to handle issues in the locker room. I was simply saying that they are also doing it in the media, which I do not necessarily agree with.

Projected over the course of the season, you might be right. He's had more turnovers, but the Completion percentage is a good 6% higher.

See post above. I could be talked into Bridgewater as the best this year, and going forward.

But these two appear to be the best of the class.

    It appears so.

Did I really just read this:

As to Manziel, it remains to be seen whether he has gotten the message. During Sunday’s loss, he was on Twitter, clicking “favorite” on a tweet from TMZ regarding Chris Rock’s looming divorce from his wife.

    SMFH at Florio.

Also, can we please get a name change to the thread "Browns Offseason 2015?" Preferably by somebody who isn't trying to gain any karma out of it (heretic).

I fail to see this as something that even needs to be reported on.

Who's to say he's not laying on the training table, watching the game on the TV, all while on his phone. I mean thats a pretty pointless article.

Wouldn't get too excited. I think they are going to take a step back, win-wise, next year. Just pissing in the wind until they get the QB situation fixed. And I don't see anything in the coming draft to get excited about.

I've been of the belief that this team has had the talent to be right in the mix with good QB play. Manziel looks like a hot mess and I don't see Hoyer returning.

And as far as Manziel's little "party?" He and Gordon can go fuck themselves. Look like they are doing everything in their power to get themselves out of Cleveland.

Shaw sure as shit aint the savior. He's a powder paw, but I'd love to have him as a backup. We need to shore up the lines, PERIOD. More important than a QB.

Yea, Shaw's arm makes Colt McCoy look like Jeff George. I think he can be a very serviceable backup though.

I agree that it all starts up front and I have no issue with Shaw, but even if they fix the lines, they aren't going anywhere without an adequate QB. They proved this year that they can win with decent QB play. Unfortunately, they aren't going to have the benefit of this cake ass schedule next year.

Do we even know our schedule next year? We are finishing last in the division again so we are going to be playing other last place finishers.

I'm sure the schedule will be an easy one next year.

AFC North is playing the AFC West and NFC West, so the Browns will play those teams plus Jacksonville and the Jets. Games against Denver, San Diego, Kansas City, Seattle, San Fran, and Arizona will be a bitch. Might be back to just one AFCN in the playoffs next year.

Ahh thanks. I didn't know the AFC west and NFC north info was released yet

Definitely a bitch to play both west coast conferences for travel alone. Let alone those are two of the best conferences. Yikes.

Although the NFL changes so much, who knows if teams like San diego Kansas City and Arizona will be any good next year.
