BR1986FBLOL....I bet Farmer's reading the OBR thinking "they might be on to something....$40 million? Hmmmmm......."

SportsAndLadyThat's awesome. "Couple posts on the OBR" to iggy means "the fanbase"

Unless Hoyer puts up a Tom Brady-like performance for the rest of the year, I think there's a pretty good shot Manziel will be starting in 2015.SportsAndLady;1657470 wrote:That's awesome. "Couple posts on the OBR" to iggy means "the fanbase"
Sometimes, when I read his posts, I feel like I'm at a Justin Bieber concert. Ohhhhhhh, the drama........ -

Ding ding ding. We have a winner. Please come up to the podium and collect your prize. But wait a minute. Think what you just posted. If he's good to go when the game is on the line, then why wouldn't he be good to go earlier in the game? Also, a certain poster here thinks the Browns would have a less likely chance of winning with Manziel playing right now. But for the good of the team's future Manziel should play. That is asinine. You play the best player who gives you the best chance to win RIGHT NOW. Which happens to be Manziel. I base it on 4 preseason games and the intra squad scrimmage in Akron whereby Manziel put up the best numbers in every game. It's pretty obvious at this point that Shanahan had no interest in opening up his playbook during the preseason. Once the bell rung the gloves obviously came off. People laud Hoyer's qb rating so far to date. Can one imagine this offense with Manziel adding so much more pressure on the defenses? 3-0 baby. And....Hoyer has had 3 games in which he had the clear opportunity to lead his team to victory in crunch time. He's 1-2 in those opportunities. Remember, with 5 minutes to go in a game he failed miserably against Pittsburgh not once...but twice. Last week, same thing. He had 2 chances of moving the sticks nursing a one point lead and again failed miserably. Like Pettine said, this is a pass fail league. So far Hoyer is 1-2.Crimson streak;1657069 wrote:I actually wouldn't mind Manziel in late game running out the clock situations. The defense knows you are going to run the ball why not put Manziel in with the read option giving the defense more things to worry about other than the RB. Could actually open a few more holes for the running back in those situations -

We would be using him as a decoy to disguise which way we were running. We wouldn't be putting the "game in his hands". Do you really think they would have him throw with the lead in the final couple minutes? DECOY DECOY DECOYFootwedge;1657710 wrote:Ding ding ding. We have a winner. You play each situation in the manner that gives you the best chance to win.Footwedge;1657710 wrote: If he's good to go when the game is on the line, then why wouldn't he be good to go earlier in the game?
This is what currently gives us the best chance to win: Hoyer quarterbacking the majority of the time and Manziel quarterbacking when: 1) we know we're running it and 2) the defense knows we're running it; also known as late game situations. That's why I agree with Crimson about Manziel playing when we're trying to ice the game. Playing Hoyer in that situation when you have Manziel on the bench is just bad, stubborn coaching. -

If you are ready to pay up on bets, when do I get my money for the bet on Manziel's age when he won the Heisman?Footwedge;1657781 wrote:I sent you a PM 2 weeks ago conceding the bet. Where do you want to meet? Man up...let's go. -
Classyposter58Only in Cleveland would Browns fans complain about a kid from Iggy with a 64% completion through 3 games because he's not as cool as Manziel

Kid has never been Qb of a team that won anything. -

Dont worry Manzier lovers he starts the game following the next loss. And then we see a long string of losses after that. Can't wait...DeyDurkie5;1657882 wrote:I don't think anyone has ever complained about Hoyer because he isn't as cool as Manziel. You are a fucking moron classy. -

queencitybuckeyeAnyone thinking the main problem with this team so far is QB play should be banned. Not from the thread, but from talking entirely.

RotinajThey beat Doooooooook by like 4 in a bowl game. I'm surprised he wasn't put in the NFL hall of fame directly after.

Pick6Steve Smith is having a pretty damn good season so far this year. Love his style of play.

shook_17Who thinks the browns struggle next week against the titans? They are horrible this year. Usually how it works, teams we should whoop on we lose.

I always assume those teams play it tight. Probably should win but it's still early in the season and everyone is still alive.shook_17;1658242 wrote:Who thinks the browns struggle next week against the titans? They are horrible this year. Usually how it works, teams we should whoop on we lose.
