Fuller is really good. That Gilbert pick is not looking good.

3 games, calm the fuck down.

Just remember when the media was killing the browns for not trading 3 1st for RG3, or taking Tannefail? How's that looking now?

Yeah because those are totally fair comparisons 👍

They're not? You're complaining about a cb being better than Gilbert thus far. I pointed out other examples when ppl qqd we didn't take x played too soon and turns out that player ended up sucking. Not sure what's difficult to understand?
  • BR1986FB
Haden started out slow and got better from there. No reason to give up on Gilbert just yet even though right now he looks like a giant shit sandwich.

Comparing corners to QBs is where you are "lolfailing"

You ever wonder why no one engages in debates with you on here? Because you have to put QQ or lolfail or whatever gay ass comment you feel the need to throw in every conversation.
  • SportsAndLady
By the way, I'm not at all giving up on Gilbert.

But Kyle fuller is a stud, and we missed out on him. All I am saying.

I was pretty surprised when they took a corner at that spot myself. I'm not giving up on Gilbert either but if I'm a betting man, I bet they are looking for another corner next year.

Eh we'll see. Still a Gilbert believer.

Lol at you getting desperate about ppl not engaging with me. You mean the same ppl who engage with buttwedge and iQQy? High bar there tubby.

    Oh yeah lolfail

I'm just saying, you used to be all over these Cleveland threads. But instead you acted like a child instead of just talking browns. QQ and lolfail is just horrible. Horrible.

Lot less free time now and can't post at work. Took away my main oc posting time. Glad to know you miss me ;)

Hard to post while running a drill press on third shift...ain't it COA?

The reporting at the time was that Pettine was obsessed with getting a corner and he was Gilbert's biggest backer. Felt he needed it for his "attacking" defense that needs standout corner play to not look like it does right now.
  • Tiernan
Iffy...wouldn't you agree that Pettine is a genius? And geniuses don't make mistakes do they?

For you guys who swear by PFF, I heard they had Haden ranked as one of the worst corners in the league this year (year to date)....

Passer rating of 155.3 when challenging Haden.

158.3 is considered perfect and is the highest that can be achieved.

He's never been a speed guy (slow 40 at the combine spooked some teams), have to wonder if the new emphasis on holding and such from DB's are having an outsized effect on Haden because he can't be as physical with guys now as maybe he was in the past.

YOu see, you CAN make a good point on the OC instead of your incessant whining.
I was going to say that the other day. Haden has been beaten in the past in big moments and now with the extra extra emphasis on holding it has exposed him. (few years ago when the NHL did this it really exposed a few bluer liners

Bruce Hooley just spewed that Manziel couldn't bring a 4th round choice in return tight now. LMAO.Hoyer played his best game as a pro and he deserves accolades. With that said, Manziel would have been spiking the ball in the end zone on the play Hoyer heaved it 5 yards past the line of scrimmage. Secondly, when you have a dual threat at quarterback, Baltimore would never have stopped the Browns on that last series, where they stacked the box and stuffed the run. Hoyer had the chance to put the team in kneel down mode only to throw his worst pass of the day...when the game was on the line.Shanahan's offense has produced wide open receivers deep down the field time after time. ^To those that think Manziel would be missing those guys is beyond ridiculous. The Browns would be 3-0 right nowif it wasn't for Pettine's insistence on playing the second best quarterback.

Name one play or series in the NFL that backs up your belief that Manziel would have this team at 3-0. Until then shut up, you can't even count to 3 with your thread about the Breowns making the playoffs as evidence.
  • IggyPride00
I'm as big a Manziel honk as there is, but no way this team is 3-0 if he's QBing.

The main argument for playing him is not that we would be winning games, but that he would be taking his lumps now so he can hit the ground running next year when it looks like we could reasonably contend for a division crown.

Footwedge is the only person in the city of Cleveland that thinks Manziel would lead to more immediate wins right now.

You're obviously not familiar with Chuck "I can't talk right now, I've got JFF's junk in my mouth" Booms, are you?
  • Crimson streak
I actually wouldn't mind Manziel in late game running out the clock situations. The defense knows you are going to run the ball why not put Manziel in with the read option giving the defense more things to worry about other than the RB. Could actually open a few more holes for the running back in those situations
  • Tiernan
I wanna see Manzier in there more than anybody.
  • IggyPride00
I was just over at the OBR and the Hoyer propaganda (and that is what it is at this point) is getting completely out of hand.

I saw one poster suggesting that we give Hoyer a $40 million extension, while any talk of Manziel QBing next year is met with anger and hostility.

Even if Farmer/Pettine want Johnny to be the QB after this year this Hoyer nonsense is poisoning the fan base.

When people are talking of building a statue for the guy if he goes 8-8, any thought you can then let him go after the season is delusional without creating a revolt in the fan base.

The lemmings in the fan base are completely obsessed with their lord and savior Brian Hoyer right now and it is sabotaging Johnny's chances of ever being able to be successful in this town because he is going to get booed out of the building for not being Brian Hoyer.

This is an OIC moment waiting to happen.
