Cleveland Cavaliers Offseason 2014

Shawn Marion in today for a meeting with Griffin/Blatt.

Would be an excellent back 3/4 off the bench, would help on the defensive side of the ball mainly.

Lol. Windhorst and everyone else talking to Lebron/sources don't know anything?

Why can't you just accept that talks have happened and it's been Wiggins and Bennett on the way the whole time? Yeah, it could fall through, but the offer has been on the table since before I even mentioned anything.

I have accepted it. I'm not completely ignorant, I have conceded for some time now that the cavs FO are going to listen to Lebron, and Lebron wants another super star in Cleveland.

So we are going to trade a highly coveted #1 overall pick to get a superstar in Cleveland.

But that doesn't mean that me saying windhorst doesn't know shit is wrong lol

I'd have to think he'd be aware of our stance money-wise before even making the trek up here. I think above avg. chance as his only known option besides CLE. is Indy, and that's gonna be a dumpster fire of the highest regard next season.

This deal better come with a 5 year contract extension for KLove. If he walks at the end of this year, Griffin should be fired immediately.

Agree with this completely. I haven't been as enamored, as others, with Wiggins but if Love walks after one season, this trade was an utter clusterf#ck.

I am assuming this deal only gets done with a contract extension from K love

Yeah, but my feeling is Love is looking at the same deal Lebron is. Makes no sense to sign a 5 year deal when the cap is expected to jump by a large margin in 2 years.

It's still too much to give up for essentially a one year rental. At least the Lakers only gave up Bynum(who wanted out anyway and wasn't that great), McRoberts(average player) and Eyenga(junk) for a 1-year rental of Howard(plus some average throwaway players). The Cavs will be the first team ever to trade a #1 overall pick before he's played a game, the first team to trade a #1 overall pick before his second season, and the first team to trade back to back #1 overall picks all for a 1-year rental on a player who wants out of his current team.

    Overpaid.

That's why we wouldn't do it if he's not gonna sign here, whether he opts in or out. Lebron is 100% here for the long haul and I just find it hard to believe Love wouldn't want to be a part of it, if they're both trying to force the trade now.

I'd rather be all of those things than an alcoholic, drunk-driving, POS deadbeat who puts other people's lives in serious danger on a regular basis.

I think we make him sign a 4/5 year deal with an opt out after 4 years. I dont think we should give up the farm to get him, and pay him MAX money, and they in 2 years when the cap increases, pay him MAX MAX (whatever the new max is at that time.) He wont be the best player on his team and may be the 3rd best player. Only player that should be allowed a huge raise in 2 years by OPT OUT is Bron

He only looks lighter bc he's not carrying wade and bosh anymore.
  • Lovejoy1984
The way the CBA is set up, Love has to opt out, in order to get the most money he can, even if he plans to stay with the Cavs. So essentially, he's almost 100% lock to opt out at the end of this season, just gotta hope this season isn't a complete cluster fuck, and he re-signs for a full 5 year max deal.

LeBron put on Instagram that this diet and training was going to make him look like this

  • Dr. KnOiTaLL
Watched the Cavs presser today with Mike Miller and James Jones. There's certainly a reason LeBron wants those guys around. They get it! The importance of accepting your role, laying it on the line, loving what you do and the guys you work with... This is going to be a special season. No doubt about it.

Baffles me why a billboard company would accept money to put that up in Akron. Le Bastard is, as you guys like to say, so butt hurt.
