Well in Minny's defense. The Wiggins/Bennett offer was leaked by Lebron which is why his media cronies are the ones who all reported it...

THIS. Why are we giving up all of our best prospects for a guy who doesn't want to be in Minny and only wants to be traded to the Cavs? The previous trades, Harden, Gasol, CP3 brought in nowhere near the deal we are currently offering.

Also I think the Love deal will go through and we keep Wiggins. However, I also think we lose 2 first round draft picks, AB, and Waiters and we involve the 76ers.

Lol everything I am reading says Love won't even have a conversation with a team not named the Cleveland cavaliers.

So Minnesota better take Bennett or Cleveland will just wait until he walks next year and signs with Cleveland in FA.

Cavs are in a great spot, just don't panic and we will have him.

Don't really care if you are done or not. He was the one who brought it up. It makes perfect sense as to why Broussard and all the people that get their info from him and his boys were reporting the same thing I was. I'm still not sure it isn't going to happen. We'll see.

    Lol.

Come on, don't be that message board guy.

For comparisons sake, the Lakers gave up Bynum, Eyenga, and McRoberts and a 1st round draft pick for Howard. Keep in mind that it was reported numerous times that Pau Gasol would be included in the trade and never was.

And somehow the Cavs are expected to give up back to back #1 overall picks and another 1st rounder. LOL

How do you still not get that the cavs won't have the cap space to sign him as a free agent?

Lol I'm not. I'll just get pictures next time. Or I can PM you some pics of last time I hung out with him, if you want. I'm not bullshitting you, I'm just telling you what I'm told or hear

They actually will have cap space to sign him as a FA. The problem is they won't have the cap space to sign to him to a max deal. Depending on the cap for next year, they will have approximately $15-16 million in cap space if the cut certain players like Varejao and TT. Is Love willing to take a slight pay cut to play with LBJ? That is the only question.

Kyrie's salary more than doubles next year, which essentially negates Varejao being off of the books.

Lebron, Kyrie, and Wiggins will take up 42 of about 66 million in cap space. That's without factoring in TT, Waiters, or Bennett at over 5.5 mil each. Not to mention the other half of a roster that needs filled.

Even if you do cut them to free the space, the whole argument from you guys has been "dont give up young assets, Minnesota has no leverage". Yet you'd be fine with letting the "young assets" walk so that you can get Love a year later? Makes no sense.

Not to mention the salaries need to match up for a trade to take place, so saying we shouldn't give up more than Bennett is not a possibility.

You don't necessarily need to cut them, you just need to maintain their bird rights. This is a standard play that teams pull off every year in FA. Please grow up. We can still sign Love next year despite what all the media outlets report(the same one that is insistent, almost neurotically, that Wiggins is included despite us being the only bidder).

Not to mention we can still do a S&T with Minny at the end of the season for peanuts since Love is gone anyway. Minn isn't going to let him walk for nothing when the Cavs offer Bennett + fillers + a few firsts.

I think the only way we can sign Love (if he wants a max) next season is if Lebron ops out and takes less. Is that wrong, sleeper?

They each have a cap hold. The cap hold doesn't go away unless you renounce their bird rights.

We won't have Lebron's bird rights. We can't sign Love to a max deal next season. I suppose Lebron could opt out and resign for less money but no way he does that.

I think the Cavs would be willing to renounce TT's bird rights to sign Kevin Love to a $15-16M deal. Have you even looked at the Cavs commitments for next year? Grow up. The deal can be done; its just will KLove accept a deal less than the max offer?

Signing out right would be quite a stretch. However, a S&T is much more likely when you consider Brendan Haywoods contract, after next season becomes a Non-Guaranteed $10m figure. Which is why its unlikely to see it moved this year for anyone, as next year it'll basically help. So You give Bennett, Haywood 2/3 1sts, and you'll equal love, and should have enough to absorb a Barea/Martin contract.

Wiggins Cavs jerseys are now a "discontinued item" on the NBA store website. Sign of an imminent deal (even if it can't officially happen or a few weeks)?
Or is it the media overreacting and the website has a glitch?

If the Cavs trade Wiggins, they're the dumbest franchise in the history of the last x years.

This. Hope we don't trade a stud defender/athletic freak for an injury prone fat white chucker.

If they trade away Wiggins I will not be very happy.....
