I've heard that too. I'm also pleased that Lue was hired on as an assistant too. I think he'll be a good mentor in developing Wiggins as a true guard/forward hybrid.

No idea how long Lue is gonna be here though, I have a feeling his name is gonna pop up at the end of the year when there are vacancies.

I read today that the 3 non-guaranteed contracts we received(Thomas, Lucas, Murphy) become guaranteed on August 1st. This makes them infinitely less valuable as trade pieces in any trade and given that Wiggins can't be traded until late August I don't think we will see Wiggins shipped off for anyone.

I'm pretty confident that Bennett + Wiggins for Love is still happening. Source still contends its happening. We'll see.

Wiggins can't be traded for 29 days now and we're going to get Love before then.

This would be nice. I don't "want" to get rid of Wiggins but if they have to I wouldn't have much of an issue with it assuming a) they don't give up the farm and b) Love signs an extension with Cleveland.

I see the cavs making a trade for a big man.

Stephen A Smith (with Broussard's confirmation) is reporting that Love has made it known he would opt-in only for Cleveland.

That's why I expect a deal to be done before Wiggins' window to be traded opens.

The radio had a national analyst on yesterday and he said that Love is the one in the drivers seat here.....not the Cavs and not Minny. As you mentioned, if he dictates where he will sign an extension, he pretty much controls where he's going.

So basically Minnesota has no leverage for wiggins.

I mean let's be honest. Love was either going to test FA or opt-in with us. IMO we've had this level of leverage the whole time. I've personally never wavered on that belief and that's why I've ignored all the white noise over the past few days.

Love's desire to play alongside Lebron is the reason I've felt that way.

And that, among other reasons, is why he won't be included.

OK so assuming Waiters and Bennett are gone, the core of our team next year could look like this:

    PG: Kyrie, Delly
SG: Wiggins, Ray Allen, James Jones
    SF: Lebron, Mike Miller
    PF: Love, TT
    C: Varejao, Haywood

And some fluidity as to the last couple pieces. Probably a budget big

That's also assuming Stephen A and Broussard are right. I'm not taking them as gospel, but considering this recent development parallels what I've been thinking, I'm more biased to believe them.

They're the biggest idiots covering the nba IMO. Love the sound if their own voice. If give it a 35% chance of being accurate.

I don't disagree. But this is also gossiping that hasn't come from Minnesota attempting to use the media as leverage, so I have to at least treat it as more than the "Cavs have offered Wiggins BS"

I'd normally agree with you that they are windbags, but didn't SAS break the LBJ to Miami and SB break the LBJ back to Cleveland?

They are idiots, but I give SAS some credit for being right on the money regarding Lebron.

True, but they, along with Sheridan leading the way, all had Lebron returning to Cleveland. Broussard kind of waivered on it but Smith had LBJ returning. I've kind of lessened my dislike of Screamin A. after his Mark Cuban rant.

    M. Robinson ‏@MRobinson_20 1m Multiple sources have stated that they fully expect Kevin Love to be a Cleveland Cavalier.

Also saw where supposedly Love has told Minn that he will only sign an extension with Cleveland, meaning the rest of the offers will be crap for a rental player. There's hope that this will help Cleveland a lot with the trade offer they give now, since it won't be as hard to beat someone else's deal.
