"According to Tony Grossi of ESPN Cleveland, "
Nuff said, stopped reading right there. All I need to know. -
Gblockjoe thomas is a good player in all seriousness i wish we had him we would probably have won the sb

sportchamppsDidn't Cribbs get a decent deal right before the NFL changed the rules which really made him a little overpaid because of the new rules that made him less valuable. I think the same thing happened with Hester in Chicago to.

Yeah, Cribbs was overpaid (he's made a lot more than "400,000" in his career). Hester was RIDICULOUSLY overpaid. Hester was paid WR money, not ST's money.sportchampps;1398507 wrote:Didn't Cribbs get a decent deal right before the NFL changed the rules which really made him a little overpaid because of the new rules that made him less valuable. The Joe Thomas comments are hilarious. Unlike many Browns fans, I don't think he's the GOAT but the negative comments cracked me up. He's still the best in the NFL at his position. -

CLEconomically SpeakingThis is ridiculous

Big difference between "greatest of CURRENT time" and "greatest of ALL time." Thomas is good but he's not the best ever. That's still Munoz, IMO, but we've already gone over this. There were others before Thomas that were also better.Commander of Awesome;1398558 wrote:How is that not GOAT?
Is Thomas a HOFer? Yeah, very likely but not the best ever at his position. -
like_thatWho will Cleveland re-sign? March, 1, 2013 Mar 18:45AM ETBy Tim Kavanagh | ESPN.com Recommend0Comments3EmailPrintAs we know, the first step in the process for every NFL team this offseason is figuring out if they need to cut anyone (or re-structure their contracts) to get in better salary cap shape. Thereafter, a determination is made as to which (if any) of their own free agents will be re-signed. Afterwards, they move on to signing outside free agents and a month and a half later, the draft. For a team with a cap situation as favorable as Cleveland, the first step is somewhat of a non-factor, and not they're onto Step 2. So who will be brought back? Of the 18 unrestricted, restricted and exclusive rights free agents from the Browns' 2012 roster, there don't appear to be many (if any) that are definites to be brought back, in the opinion of ESPN Cleveland's Tony Grossi. In fact, the player about whom Grossi writes most glowingly in his rundown is long-snapper Christian Yount, an exclusive rights free agent who can thus be retained on a minimum salary contract tender. So that means players like Phil Dawson, Josh Cribbs, Mohamed Massaquoi and Sheldon Brown will be hitting the pavement looking for a new team in several days. The roster rebuild commences in Cleveland.

All except Dawson, GTFO. Good riddance. Dawson wants too much money and has rejected multi yr deals in the past so he can GFH too.like_that;1398595 wrote:Who will Cleveland re-sign? Thomas is the Best Pass Blocking Tackle I have ever seen. NFL today is all about passing, thus GOAT IMO. Munoz may have been better in the run game, haven't seen tape of him in a long time.BR1986FB;1398571 wrote:Big difference between "greatest of CURRENT time" and "greatest of ALL time." LOL at Thomas being GOAT. He couldn't sniff the jock strap of Orlando Pace and many, many others. There are a few that gave up maybe 2 sacks in their entire career. I've seen Thomas take "plays off" many times throughout his career...as in beaten like a drum.Commander of Awesome;1398634 wrote:Thomas is the Best Pass Blocking Tackle I have ever seen. shook_17Seeing reports saying Flacco signed the largest deal for a NFL qb in history of the league.. With that being said, doesn't it have to stop some time? Like a floor on how much these qbs are going to get a year? so when Aaron Rodgers signs his new year he will want to be the highest paid qb in NFL history. He'll want 23 million a year.. Hell sooner or later qbs will be getting 30 million a year. It just baffles my mind Joe Flacco, yes Joe Flacco is the highest paid qb EVER over Brady and Manning.
-
Commander of AwesomePisses me off that they signed Flacco, was hoping they'd have to burn a FA tag on him. Wonder if they tag Cary Williams or Krueger now.

sportchamppsJake Long is pretty close to Joe Thomas in the who the best current left tackle in football discussion. As for the GOAT I'd take Munoz Ogden Walter Jones Willie Roaf and Pace over JT right now. JT and long are still young and could move into that top 3-5 before their careers are over.
-
Commander of AwesomeLong can't stay healthy, not even in same conversation.
-
sportchamppsLol true about longs health but talent wise their close
-
queencitybuckeyeSorry to remind people that Baltimore exists, but Ogden was better.
-
buckeyes_wooweeLong is no where near that level. He probably isn't even a top 10 LT in the NFL right now.
-
sportchamppsWhen long is healthy he is easily top 10

LOL...Long...not. even. close. Clady is better than Long and Clady isn't as good as Thomas. Thomas is the best in the league but he's not the GOAT.sportchampps;1398665 wrote:Jake Long is pretty close to Joe Thomas in the who the best current left tackle in football discussion. Don't be surprised if Romo, yes Romo, eclipses Flacco's deal. What I like about it is that these huge contracts hamstring these teams (see Pittsburgh constantly restructuring Roethlisberger) to re-sign their own.shook_17;1398662 wrote:Seeing reports saying Flacco signed the largest deal for a NFL qb in history of the league..
