I would be down with that. Don't know anything about the guy, but the giants are a well run organization.

What a ****ing scumbag. Throwing his def under the bus because he's a **** and lost the game. QQ me a river Patty QQ. GFY
Actually the D did get the job done bc the Browns' offense got the ball and ended up having to go on a 4th and 8 around the same spot that the 4th and 1 was. What a effing jerk...he tried to blame it on the D for "not getting it done" but they actually got the ball back for Shurmur's offense and choked the game away.

I didn't read it as him throwing the D under the bus. I believe he was just saying the team in general just didn't get it done.

Call me crazy but I really don't think that WR is as big of a need as it was previously. With Gordon, Little (assuming he continues to improve), Cooper & Benjamin, they have a nice nucleus. Get maybe one more guy, doesn't have to be a #1, and I think they'll be in nice shape.

I agree with that, as long as Gordan keeps developing and making plays after teams start to key on him, and Little just catches the ball.

The HUGE need on this team is OLB, serious pass rushing DE, and DB.

They def need a veteran wr to help them develop....agree that he doesn't have to be a #1.

I've heard rumors of Haslam throwing some cash at Mike Wallace should he hit the market. I think Greg Jennings will also see free agency. The rumors about Wallace don't make much sense in that he'll want a ton of cash and I don't see that being Haslam's "M.O."

Two games from Cooper and 2 where Little doesn't drop the ball and all of sudden you're on the bandwagon? I'd like to see it for a season before I make a decision. I remember after the playoff yr, we all thought the same thing, Quincy Morgan, Northcutt, and Kevin Johnson, Andre Davis and the Fris. We thought the same thing after the 07 season with Leon, Joe J, and then signed Donte Stallworthless. I'm being cautious.

Or better yet the "cap genius" and CEO of the Browns...Banner.

A few more games like Sunday night and you'll be able to get Wallace for about tree-fiddy.

    Excuse me while I LMAO:

Mary Kay Cabot ‏@MaryKayCabot #Browns Holmgren on Shurmur: "He's a bright new coach. I believe in him as well.''
  • BR1986FB
Terry Pluto ‏@terrypluto I agree with Holmgren when he says, "We found our QB." Weeden at #22 is a good pick and he does have talent -- more than DA, Quinn, etc.
  • BR1986FB
After seeing the Tweets from Holmgren's press conference you almost have to wonder if he might not be interested in coaching again.

Browns discussing 3-week shutdown of T-Rich

ESPN's Ed Werder reported on SportsCenter Tuesday that the Browns are discussing shutting down Trent Richardson (ribs) through their Week 10 bye.

Werder termed Richardson's rib-cartilage injury "serious," and hinted it was aggravated on a "direct hit" in the second quarter of last week's loss to Indianapolis. "The team (is) now discussing whether to hold him out through the bye week to allow him to heal," Werder said. "The fear being that if they don't, he'll be debilitated by his injury all year long. There's internal conflict about shutting him down, though, because Pat Shurmur the coach has to win some games here. They've only got one victory and Jimmy Haslam the new owner says he wants a stronger finish if he's going to bring back the coaching staff."

Fake Pat Shurmur ‏@FakePatShurmur Fun fact: Mike Holmgren did not mention the fans one single time during his final press conference as president of the Cleveland Browns.

They aren't going to win games with Richardson playing like he did last week. Hardesty gives a better chance. (Not a good chance-but better than an injured Trich.)

Agree completely. Hardesty needs to step up though.
  • Commander of Awesome
Hardesty will get injured. No doubt about it.
