BR1986FBI've been an anti-orange jersey guy all along but I could get behind this look...
-
OQBThose uniforms are perfect and have the White jersey and orange pants for the away uniform.
-
Commander of AwesomeI could be down with that as well. Orange jerseys were sweet, they just needed to wear them with Brown pants. Much better than orange and white pants IMO. Still better than the stupid wimpy elf.
-
BR1986FBI love that helmet.
-
Commander of AwesomeStole this: "Since wk 1 Weeden averaged 85 QB rating. Would put him 18 overall instead of 32 ahead of Cutler, Stafford, Newton & Flacco"

I think that before he's done he'll be the second best QB in this division behind TheRapist.Commander of Awesome;1304110 wrote:Stole this: "Since wk 1 Weeden averaged 85 QB rating. Would put him 18 overall instead of 32 ahead of Cutler, Stafford, Newton & Flacco" -

Agreed. "Plain Jane" Lerner would never get behind something like this. Hopefully Haslam does. Team could use a shakeup.Pick6;1304113 wrote:that is awesome. -

I understand the competitor in him wants to be out there, but he has to realize he could be hurting the team if he can't run like himself. And not taking any contact through the week gives him no barometer to know how he'll feel on game day.
I loved the Gordon pick and I think that uniform is awesome. -

That quote from Billick is incredibly damning considering how well Hardesty played against the Bengals, and how God awful the Colts run D was the week before against the Jets.“Even if rookie running back Trent Richardson’s injury was more serious than people knew, Cleveland still had a capable backup in Montario Hardesty and an offensive line that is built to dig out lanes in the trenches. Running the ball just 17 times — and one of those times was a Weeden scramble — against one of the league’s worst rushing defenses is hard to accept.”
Didn't realize we only attempted 17 runs on Sunday. -

I'm not surprised by anything shurmur does. He's not just a bad coach he's also a legit dumbass. Don't understand how he got this far.IggyPride00;1304305 wrote:That quote from Billick is incredibly damning considering how well Hardesty played against the Bengals, and how God awful the Colts run D was the week before that.

This is why I say he's fucking himself by being married to Holmgren's garbage WCO.Rotinaj;1304307 wrote:I'm not surprised by anything shurmur does. He's not just a bad coach he's also a legit dumbass. Don't understand how he got this far.
If he wanted to keep his job he'd pull out all the stops (hurry up offense from the gun, trick plays, riverboat gambler going for it on 4th down, etc), but no....gotta do it the WCO "way" (3-5-7 step drop). His stubborn arrogance will be his downfall.
Mangini sucked but at least he'd get creative on occasion (and I'm not advocating bringing back Mangini). -

You could say that about the whole regime though from Holmgren to Heckert to Shurmur.
A lack of urgency has been rampant in this gang from day 1.
There is a big gap between being recklessly win now, yet also taking steps to expedite a rebuild process.
It was only this year when they drafted Weeden (which I don't think they would have done had Kendall Wright been there at 22) and gambled on Gordon in the supplemental draft (which I was thrilled about for this reason) that they showed a hint of urgency.
They all appeared to think it would be just fine to tell Browns fans to eat shit for 4-5 years until they were good because they were only going to use the draft and hopefully hit on 2-3 players a year.
I thought the refusal to use free agency severely hamstrung the rebuild because it forces you to have to hit on an unrealistic number of draft picks to get the ball rolling.
It is part of the reason that our win total has gone from 5 to 4 to less than that in their 3 years on the job. It is also part of the reason no other team does a rebuild like this, and why they will all be looking for jobs at seasons end.
They just bungled this so badly. No one in the NFL was an ideologically rigid as far as the Browns front office about insisting on only doing things a certain way and refusing to deviate from that even when evidence was mounting it wasn't working.
Haslam thankfully will not allow that to go on any longer because if Randy hadn't sold the team we would have this same gang back next year.
Holmgren said 6-10 is not acceptable, but does anyone think he would have really fired Shumur no matter how piss poor his record was this year? Of course not, we would have gotten more excuses an no accountability. That has been the biggest legacy of that failed regime. -
IggyPride00Saw an intersting question posed on the OBR, and have heard it batted around in the Cleveland media.
Knowing what we know now, would you trade T-Rich/Weeden/Schwartz and 2013 pick for RGIII?
That is the package of picks it would have taken to get that Redskins pick.
I don't think I would, because I am still not sure RGIII can stay healthy long term. If that doesn't become an issue for him though he does look like he is going to be special. I don't think anyone saw him being able to play at the level he has as far as being a passer. He has had some great runs, but he is a throw first QB who just happens to have world class speed. Never really seen anything like it at the position.
Not to mention in Cleveland RGIII would have been ruined by Pat Shurmur, so that is the one variable you have to take into account as he wouldn't be playing at the level he is in Washington right now. -

1) its too early to give a fair answer.IggyPride00;1304370 wrote:Saw an intersting question posed on the OBR, and have heard it batted around in the Cleveland media.

2) probably not. Im not going to rate how good a player is 6 games into his rookie season. Remember how good Cam Newton was going to be because he broke a couple of records last year? LOL. I like RGIII a lot more than I do Cam, I despise Ca$h Newton actually. Defenses will adjust to RGIII and slow him down IMO. -
royal_kAs of right now, I wouldn't make that trade. As Pick6 said, it's too early to tell. That's a lot to give up. Especially since we've seen how productive these guys can be.
-
BR1986FBI was a big time RGIII honk but I wouldn't do that. The X Factor for me is Richardson. I wonder if he's going to be another Lee Suggs. I know it's too early to say that but I'm wondering. Weeden will be fine and, barring injury, you can probably pencil Schwartz in for the next 10 years. Get a couple of stud guards and our O-Line is going to be tits.

sleeperI would not have done the RGIII trade. The Redskins will pay for this in the long run.

Doubt it. RG3 and Morris are gonna make that offense a force for many years. I think they make playoffs on a yearly basis starting next year.sleeper;1304414 wrote:I would not have done the RGIII trade. The Redskins will pay for this in the long run. -

Pretty bold prediction. As I have said before, I have seen black dual threat QBs turn heads their rookie season, maybe even the next, but the start to slow down after. The league is just too smart. Pocket QBs rule the elite status.Rotinaj;1304434 wrote:Doubt it. RG3 and Morris are gonna make that offense a force for many years. I think they make playoffs on a yearly basis starting next year.
