Crimson streakNow my dream senecio would be sign manning and garçon (which could be a real good possibility if we sign manning with his ties to ne Ohio) draft Claiborne and the lb from bc with our firsts and our 2nd take either a de rt or safety. That would instantly make us a playoff team. There's like a 2% chance of this happening but it would be amazing if it happened

If Peyton Manning goes anywhere, it would be a team that is on the door step of winning a title but needs a QB. Not a rebuilding project like Cleveland. He doesn't have time.Crimson streak;1048562 wrote:Now my dream senecio would be sign manning and garçon (which could be a real good possibility if we sign manning with his ties to ne Ohio) draft Claiborne and the lb from bc with our firsts and our 2nd take either a de rt or safety. Besides, Pat Shurmur would never relinquish the offense to Peyton Manning, which would be a prerequisite to anywhere he went. He would rather have someone running his system the way he wants it even if it means passing on someone with more talent. -

Get off the whole shurmer hating. He would change his offense for manning and he would for rg3. He didn't with McCoy bc it was an evaluation year to see if McCoy has it. Obviously McCoy sucks so why change your offense for a guy you know is not the future? I do agree Peyton won't sign here but I said it was a dream scenerio that won't happen -

And that's why knr sucks -

would be one of the biggest mistakes the organization has ever made. selling the farm for a high risk pick?wes_mantooth;1048566 wrote:yeah, for Griffin -
wes_mantoothYeah, I wouldn't do that for a second rounder to be honest

DeyDurkie5There is no way they trade their picks for Rg3. maybe for luck, but just stop it with that.

Have you listened to Holmgren/Heckert? They believe in this system above all else. They will change for no one.
When thinking of any hypothetical scenario, that reality needs to be included. They have been crystal clear on their commitment to their system., because Holmgren thinks it is going to lead this team back to relevancy. -

Someone is going to do it. I would be really surprised at this point if St. Louis and Minnesota both kept their picks instead of someone moving up to get RGIII.Pick6;1048601 wrote:would be one of the biggest mistakes the organization has ever made. selling the farm for a high risk pick? -

Actually you said it had a 2% chance of happening, which is off by 2%.Crimson streak;1048581 wrote:Get off the whole shurmer hating. He would change his offense for manning and he would for rg3. I hope they don't do it, and I highly doubt they do, but they wouldn't be selling the farm. -

The team has needs just as bad, if not more urgent than the QB. I'm skeptical on even picking Griffin 4th. Like I said, he is just too high risk. The Browns need both of their first round picks to get two "can't miss" players. Maybe selling them farm is a bit of an exaggeration, but its giving up a lot considering the risk of the pick.like_that;1048615 wrote:I hope they don't do it, and I highly doubt they do, but they wouldn't be selling the farm. -

Obviously they would make an exception for manning there not dumb. If we happen to get rg3 it wouldnt be the offense we saw this year. It will be the wco but a lot more shotgun. Obviously they would still be under center but they would use rg3 's talent to their advantage -

Not really. Fits the value of the picks on the draft chart.wes_mantooth;1048555 wrote:KNR is saying that SI has an article out saying that the Browns may trade their 4 and 22 to move up to St Louis' pick. i would be pissed if that happens...way too much to give up to move up two spots. -

Exactly. If the Browns do their due diligence and feel he's the franchise guy, you do what you have to and get him. I have a feeling after the Combine and after they put this kid in front of a chalkboard they are going to be "wowwed" by him. Finished HS in 3 years. Finished his college degree in 3 years and is almost done with his Masters. This guy is no Vince Young 8 Wonderlic score. He's going to be able to pick up an offense quickly.Mulva;1048611 wrote:Someone is going to do it. Literally don't give two shits about this at all. Thats why Erica Womangini thought Veikune was a good draft pick.BR1986FB;1048700 wrote:Finished HS in 3 years. Finished his college degree in 3 years and is almost done with his Masters. -

Little difference between a QB, who NEEDS to be cerebral, and a meathead LB.Commander of Awesome;1048706 wrote:Literally don't give two shits about this at all. Thats why Erica Womangini thought Veikune was a good draft pick. -

Tannehill, with his broken foot, is likely going to fall to the 2nd round or lower now. Likely won't be able to participate in the Combine.OneBuckeye;1048512 wrote:Walterfootball has a new mock out.
Has RGIII going number 2.
Has the Browns Taking Blackmon, Tannenhill and Chase Minnifiled with the first three.
I totally believe the first two picks. If we go WR, QB. I think we go OT or DE in the 2nd.
I think we have to draft a QB, DE, WR, OT or RB with our first three picks. Anyone else think we will take a different position with the first 3 picks? -

Comparing a QB to a LB?? -

I agree with everything you wrote, but it seems like it would just be so out of character for them to all the sudden start taking big chances like that when the model has been slow and steady since Holmgren came to town.BR1986FB;1048700 wrote:Exactly. If they trade that 22nd pick, they have a new QB but still have no weapons around him and no running backs (since Hillis is being sent packing).
Developing him to be what they want is a huge risk, and I have seen nothing in Holmgren's 2+ years as Pres that tells me he is going to walk a tight rope like that when safer more sure options exist. -
BR1986FB
Exactly. I'd rather know a QB was smart as a whip, with athleticism, so he has a fighting chance of picking up an offense vs dumb as a doornail.SportsAndLady;1048711 wrote:Comparing a QB to a LB??
