I know what you said. I just think its pointless to even ask that question, let alone publish an article about it. You already know what he is going to say.BR1986FB;1049571 wrote:I said "take it FWIW", El Rocket Scientisto... -

Oh trust me, I got ya. You know a lot more about Sanu's pro prospects than I do because I don't watch Rutgers games. Truthfully I'm shocked that guy had Criner going in the 1st. He's got 1st round talent, but his off the field problems were never really disclosed (it wasn't criminal, I'm thinking personal/family related) and his production dropped a little this year.SportsAndLady;1049577 wrote: But look at it from my POV...last mock I looked at had him in the 7th round lol admittedly I didn't watch must Zona games though. -

Sanu is a monster though lol and to think, Schiano's OC had em at QB last year running the wildcat lollhslep134;1049641 wrote:Oh trust me, I got ya. Rutgers player do so well in the NFL, it's so strange...it's almost a lock that Sanu will be a pro bowler by his 2nd year. -

BR1986FBWith how shitty/inaccurate the Browns QB's are, he'd be a lifesaver with those hands.

Braylon's best year was when DA was over and under throwing him. Seems Braylon would make the most ridiculous catches, and drop the easiest passes.BR1986FB;1049701 wrote:With how shitty/inaccurate the Browns QB's are, he'd be a lifesaver with those hands. -

Exactly. That first one handed catch that Sanu flipped up in the air and caught on his back is a typical Browns' QB pass...low and behind him. Great catch.like_that;1049719 wrote:Braylon's best year was when DA was over and under throwing him. Seems Braylon would make the most ridiculous catches, and drop the easiest passes. -

Nice......Sadly I am in the group more tortured than any other group of Browns fans. At least you guys actually got to see the Browns when they were either really really good (60s and before) or at least really competitive (80s). All I've endured is pain and suffering along with 3 years of inactivity. Hell I never even got to see a game at Municipal stadium. -

I feel for all the younger fans, for this very reason. Municipal stadium used to rock. Speaking of Dave Logan....I saw a game where he caught the winning TD against GB with a few seconds on the clock. Brian Sipe threw it. Muni had a feel to it no question, you could be sitting behind a pole but it didn't seem to matter. The restrooms were absolutely abhorrent...good times. Logan was my favorite receiver during that span, had Warfield for a spell, though he was past his prime, Brian Brennan. Yeah I thought the 80's were the most fun times to be a Browns fan.royal_k;1049991 wrote:I feel for all the younger fans, for this very reason. Municipal stadium used to rock. Also was one of two athletes (Dave Winfield was the other) to be drafted by the NFL (Browns), NBA (Kings) & MLB (Reds). Probably my all time favorite Browns receiver.ytownfootball;1049984 wrote:He was a football magnet, with a cool porn stache too. -
BR1986FBSoooo...listening to Heckert on 92.3 on the drive home this afternoon my take was this:
Hillis is gone
Shurmur is INCREDIBLY entrenched. Bull tried to goad Heckert into saying Shurmur was a bit of a disappointment saying he (Bull) "graded Shurmur an 'F' for the season." Heckert wasn't buying. He said that he "100% disagreed" and thought "Pat did an excellent job."
Onto McCoy...Heckert defended McCoy because of receiver drops but said he could still be evaluated. Bull asked Heckert the same question he asked Heckert in October..."will Colt McCoy be the starter in week one?" In October, Heckert's answer was a firm "YES." Today Heckert said "well we have Seneca and Colt and Thad Lewis who are all our QB's but yeah, FOR NOW, Colt would be our starter. Didn't seem like a glowing recommendation. He kinda stammered around the question.
Dustin Fox couldn't ask him about particular players but asked if a QB from a spread offense (Fox is an RG3 honk) could easily adapt to a pro style offense which Heckert said "yes" and cited that they drafted Kolb from a spread style offense and it wouldn't be an issue.
Bull asked Heckert about the perceived myth that H&H would never draft a QB high and Heckert confirmed that a) Philly wasn't typically having high draft picks and b) Philly had McNabb and GB/Seattle had Favre/Hasselbeck so there was never a need to select high. Said he wouldn't hesitate to use the #4 on a QB.
Also said Lauvao & Pinkston would stay at guard. Pinkston will not be moved to RT. Nothing but praise for the young guys. Did not criticize the O-Line play at all while he did criticize receivers. Get the eerie feeling that Steinbach isn't going to be in the mix. Hope that's wrong though.
Also was asked about Tebow and had nothing but glowing praise for him. They brought him in prior to the draft and Heckert said he "is what he is...a genuinely nice person, not fake and has a certain will to win."
That was about it in a nutshell... -
Commander of AwesomeInteresting about Pinkston, I guess we cab forget him moving to RT unless injury says otherwise.

BR1986FBOne thing that I had never thought about and was brought up by a well respected former scout & coach (SOBO) over on the OBR, a reason for a lot of (not all of) the drops by McCoy's receivers could be due to the fact that he doesn't throw a tight spiral. Wallace sucks but it seems like the WR's dropped the ball less with his tighter spiral.

I played receiver in college and I can verify that it is indeed a lot harder to catch a ball like McCoy throws. You almost have to catch it with the body which in turn leads to more drops. -
